Bristol Palin is Pregnant!

OK, so Trig was Sarah Palin’s baby. I must say, it was weird, her flying 8 hours back to Alaska and driving 45 minutes to her doctor AFTER her waters had broke when you are 44 years old and this being a high risk pregnancy because of her age.

As for abstinence only for teenagers and no birth control?

Liberals are so judgmental. It is truly reprehensible to delight in other people’s children’s misfortunes. How exactly does a parent “allow” or not “allow” their 17 year old to get pregnant? I guess an abortion would just make everything so much easier. But the harder path shows their character.

But between abstinence and abortion there is such a thing called BIRTH CONTROL. The pill which changed the world. There is such a thing called sex education which doesn’t begin and end with the message “DON’T HAVE SEX”.

when you leave Birth Control out of the equation you are basically asking teenagers, at their biologically most horny age to refrain from doing something MOTHER Nature and God had designed teenagers to do - go forth and multiply.

But presumably God allows birth control beyond abstinence just as God allows conception in a test tube. God is Beyond Great and we should never put God in the strait jacket of human expectations. To do so would be a sin.

Obama said reporters should “back off these kinds of stories” and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.

“How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.”

In Wasilla, Pregnancy Was No Secret

That’s about the only thing that I didn’t know about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. The rest of the details I picked up almost without trying, while talking about other things with townsfolk — some who know the governor and her family well, some who don’t. It was, more or less, an open secret. And everyone was saying the same thing: the governor’s 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, the father is her boyfriend, and it’s really nobody’s business beyond that.

It is horrible the way that Obama’s supporters are attacking this young girl. I have many friends that this has also happened to and they chose to support and love their daughter/sons. This happens to many families across the USA . Perez Hilton on his blog was calling this girl a ***** and ****. Of all people to be judgmental someone who has probably been promiscious and with many partners since he was probably 11. Mr. Hilton should know what hatred and prejudice are all about since he is gay, but why is he now preaching the thing he most speaks against towards the Palin family?

I was just watching a cable newshow where it said that there were possibly people from McCain’s camp in Alaska doing further vetting of this woman. Isn’t that something he should have done thoroughly before nominating her? This has more twists and turns than a soap Opera. Next thing you know they’ll be on the Maury Povich show trying to find out who the daddy is.

I agree that we shouldn’t attack the children.

However, please make a distinction between attacking Bristol for getting pregnant and attacking Sarah Palin and Todd Palin for the way they raise their family and the way they are handling their family and how it reflects upon them.

Bristol is in effect, still a child. She is a minor. She isn’t fully responsible for her actions especially if she is not fully educated about how to prevent a pregnancy.

Sarah and Todd Palin are adults. They chose to take up the nomination for VP. They chose NOT to educate their daughter on Birth Control. They chose the way they raise their daughter. Sarah chose to fly back to Alaska to have Trig. She chose to go back tow work within 3 days of having a special needs baby. If you were NOT A republican, if you were to encounter this in an ordinary woman, would you not say that some of her choices SUCKED? Would you not query the WISDOM of a woman who chose an ambitious job, which required her to fly all over the US when she had just delivered a special needs baby? Would you not say, hey, she needs to slow down just a little bit and spend some time bonding with her youngest child.

Should Sarah and Todd’s parenting skills be scrutinised?? Should Sarah’s choices not be scrutinised as a REFLECTION OF HER TRUE VALUES?

ABSOLUTELY YES.

Sarah I admire your courage. However, this VP job is way beyond what you can handle at this time. Why don’t you raise your children first, specifically your last born? You are still young…and can always run for presidency even ten years from now. If family values really matter to you…your children need you at this time.
