OlderBristol Palin is Pregnant!
Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin announced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol Palin is five months pregnant and is going to marry the father.
Sarah and husband Todd Palin released this statement via the John McCain campaign:
“We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us. Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.”
“Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”
Reuters news service, which first reported the news, says this news is “intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for [Bristol].” Trig was born this past April with Down Syndrome.

Bristol may be pregnant…but not 5 months…anyone can say 5 months. If she is pregnant, she is perhaps 2 to 3 mos pregnant.. One lie to hide another, and another, and another……another…another…
I’m not American, so I can’t vote for either Mccain or Obama, but reading the posts here and what’s written on Daily Kos, I’ve realized that the liberal wingnuts are just as scary as the rightwing nut jobs.
They’re willing to believe anything, and are willing to twist the truth and spread lies to ensure that their candidate wins. And talk about a double standard.

From what I have been viewing photos of Palin and a news video of locals learning out of the blue (after Palin decide to announce it) talking about not knowing Palin was 7 months pregnant because she wasn’t even showing. Apparently, in the town she lived in no one believed her because she was not showing at all! They were all shocked. To see photos of her now today (4 months later) and seeing a photo of her pregnant in the past this woman was and has not carried a child IMO.
She is not a tall women she is petitte and therefore shorter women carry more weight, unless they are really thin which she is not. Photos from the conference of her daughter holding Trig with loving care as a mother is proof enough for me that this is a lie that has gone bad. I understand her intentions but I compare her bad judgment at home with bad judgment of running this country in the event father time McCain drops dead! What will she cover up to save face in front of America???
Will she lie to us just as Bush has for 8 years? Yes, she has already started yet there seems to be many on here that think it is a personal matter and none of our business. Well just like you republicans make it known to us about Clinton, Edwards, & Hillary’s lies you should be using that same critical judgment of lies on your own candidates as well, and call for her to resign from her post. I am not a republican but I would want a better judge of character than her for VP. Just because it wears a skirt don’t mean it is the best! Hell call Kay Bailey Hutchinson if you guys want a woman!
What a mess… This woman has an infant that needs a Mother’s complete attention and a pregnant teenager. This woman then now adds to her fame seeking life - the VP nomination.
Her career appears to be her main focus and how in the world could a Mother choose to go forward with such demands in public life and a career when she does not have to make that choice. Apparently, she does not have to work and makes this choice given her situation?
So much for the Republicans pushing abstinence…
Okay here’s my 2 cents on the whole situation.
I already heard Trig wasn’t Sarah’s sometime last week so I wasn’t surprised when I seen Jared posted the story about it yesterday. Thats why I didn’t comment on it. Now, Bristol is pregnant and it makes me really wonder, if Trig’s is REALLY Sarah’s child or her grandson.
The reason it makes me wonder is because of the things that don’t add up. I find it really bizarre that Sarah walked around her staff, her meetings, even to the damn grocery store in her town without people knowing that she was pregnant. I’m not saying she couldn’t have been pregnant because of smaller figure, but in her case it didn’t make sense. Throughout all her pregnancies, she was huge as a house! the more you have children, the more you are noticeably pregnant whenever you do become pregnant. Now the whole down syndrome situation, I won’t even comment on that because I am not a doctor so I wouldn’t know why Trig was born that way whoever “his” mother is. So many theories could go with that one LOL, either Bristol is his mom and wasn’t careful throughout her pregnancy with him, or Sarah and Bristol aren’t his mothers because Trig doesn’t look 100% white. Crazy huh? LOL
What I also don’t understand is besides the fact even her own staff were completely suprised about her pregnancy, she decided to take an 8 hour flight, then drive another 45 mins to the hospital while in labor. Thats something I won’t understand without probable explanation. She’s over the common age of having children plus the baby had a known case of down syndrome who ended up being born prematurely so why would she risk the fact of doing ALL of that just so the baby could be born elsewhere? Unless her daughter went into labor herself and she went off to meet her…
Now I’m pretty young, in college, and It wasn’t too long ago I was in high school with my friends who were doing their thing, and I remembered one of my friends caught mono, and she was out for a month and a half of school. I never heard anyone in my school at the time, being away from the “kissing disease” for 5-6 months. I know some people are different but hey, it just sounds….off.
Finally, Bristol is alledgedly 5 months pregnant. I just find it so funny because my girlfriends and I were laughing last night, saying if Trig WAS Bristol’s, then she better be careful and not get pregnant again because its 3 times easier getting pregnant after birth. And Trig is what? 4 months? Any woman knows, if you’re not on birth control and are having sex after birth, you’re bound to get pregnant again. Common Sense. Great Timing though, first we hear Trig is the grandson of Sarah, then we hear Bristol is 5 months pregnant. Nice.

I think this is less about being hyocrites than this being a generation of trash teenagers.
it’s obvious that there is no fear of God, parents and anything else that might make teens be more careful or scared these days. They seem to be the “I don’t care” generation. Up until recently, teen pregnancies statistics were the lowest in like 30 years then 5 years ago, things changed.
Bristol should not even pretend to say she will marry because if it’s marriage that she truly wanted, she would have announced her engagement. Marrying someone because you got pregnant is just as crazy and irresponsible as having unprotected sex.

Oh yah, I forgot to add the fact that I couldn’t believe she went back to work 3 DAYS LATER, when her child has special needs. Even if Trig didn’t have down syndrome, a mother and child need at least a week to BOND right after birth. Its just motherly instincts.

The first amendment protects the freedom of speech.
You can’t spend all of your time seeking out those you disagree with to denounce them.This stuff always happens.Remember the swift boaters? It’s each persons decision to debunk,disprove and disbelieve or not.
However,this situation does reflect upon the ethics(Get it out immediately.Don’t attempt to cover-up) and honesty(mononucleosis?) of the VP pick and the decision making process of a potential president as well.BTW- I realize the argument will be “It’s a personal matter”.But,when you decide to become one of the most powerful public servants in this country you need to be as open,honest and forthright as you rhetoric.

Obama has never served in an important leadership position in government, business, or the military. His ability to perform as a chief executive officer is completely untested.
Obama has prestigious degrees from Columbia University and Harvard Law School, but no significant professional achievements to his name.
No businesses or organizations he has founded or managed. No law firm partnerships. No important cases he has tried.
Not a single work of legal scholarship he has authored, despite having been Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Law Review and a part-time law professor at the University of Chicago for twelve years. (This is unheard of in the elite ranks of the legal profession, and calls into question the bona fides of Obama’s professorship.)

I think she is doing that. Sarah has just become a news story since Friday, less than 100 hours ago and is extremely new to the nation. (I was thrilled with her because I follow politics closely so she isn’t so new to me….she has a very impressive life story).
It’s as if someone in the GOP approached a Hollywood casting agent and as for a dash of:
Norma Rae (for self confidence in taking on the good ol boys & corruption)
· Katherine Hepburn (for intelligence & athleticism)

John McCain had to know about the pregnancy, and I give both of them credit for not letting an unborn child be the deciding factor in choosing Palin to round out the ticket.
For those of you who are “glad” that you are Democrats, do you work? If you do, do you like paying for the deadbeats that don’t, who like to live off of the government for generations? Do you like the fact that if you have a captial gain, you would pay the government 33 percent of it? Oh, if you are a Democrat, that probably wouldn’t matter to you. You’re more concerned about what the minimum wage is, most likely.
McCain is the most experienced and most qualified candidate, and that ticket just got alot warmer with the addition of Palin and yes, her grandbaby on the way.
Did the fact that **** Cheney having a gay daughter stop people for voting for Bush??? Nope, in fact, it may have helped them seem a little more human.
If we are going to scrutinize VP’s family’s - how many of you know that Hunter Biden (Joe’s son) is under investigation for mishandling of hedge funds?
In the real world, Hunter Biden’s behavior is alot or more questionable that Bristol Palin’s…..
But, we are electing a president, not a vice president, or their children, are we?
