Jamie Lynn Spears’ Labor Day Love
Jamie Lynn Spears grabs lunch at a restaurant with a gal pal and newborn daughter Maddie Briann, 10 weeks, in McComb, Mississippi late last week.
The 17-year-old new mom wore a pretty-in-pink “Chillin’ in the Club” t-shirt and short green athletic shorts. Noticeably missing was her teenager fiance Casey Aldridge.
Jamie Lynn carried around baby Maddie in the carseat portion of her Graco MetroLite Travel System in Cherry Blossom.

Now that you see her carrying Maddie it’s hard to believe that that’s acually her daughter.
I hope Maddie can have a normal life & Jamie Lynn is doing a good job with her.
it must be hard to be a mom at seventeen so i give her props for that….
i’ve taken care of a baby (under 6 months-old) and i swear, by the end of the day, i could have grabbed my hair and tear it out! so she deserves respect, really. i mean, i know some girl who got pregant when she was 16 (several times!!!) and every time, she aborted. Jamie Lynn could have done this, but she didn’t and took whole responsibility for her stupidness (not using birth control or condoms)…….so even if she seems pretty dumb , she made a tough choice, has a high level of courage and well, she seems to handle the situation well. she has a heart……. i know many others who would give away the kid to an orphanage or kill it.
Julia @ 09/01/2008 at 2:08 am I actually agree #3. It’s very sad. The reason she most likely looks pissed, all the time, is because she’s a mother at 17! Who would be smiley about that. I’m sure she loves Maddie, but let’s face it, her life is probably sucking right now.
Anyways, cute baby. I think JL is doing a good job, albeit the situation.

I agree with you guys so much. There is this 18 year old in my neighborhood. She had her first at 16 and her second at 17. That’s the look she always had and no one was taking her picture. When she had her first she always look so down and trouble and her boyfriend was never she seen with her at all. We were so surprised when she came up with the second child by then she and her boyfriend broke up. Jamie’s child hood has been cut short. That’s why she looks like that.

Having babies doesn’t mean to become fat! I gave birth to my third child a month and half ago, and I’m closed to my normal weight again. I’m not fat, I’m not thin. It all depends on what you do after birth.
Britney gained weight because she didn’t pay attention during her pregnancy and after, she didn’t really try to lose the weight until a few months ago. That should be a big difference to her sister who maybe took care of her diet during her pregnancy until now.
She has a beautiful child, but I feel so very sorry for her. Not that she got pregnant, that was her own fault, and the fault of her boyfriend, but that she’s now a mother. Accepting the responsiblity that comes with being a mother is a hard thing for people twice her age to do. She can’t even vote yet and she’s already responsible for another life. The carefree life she probably had as a teenager is pretty much over now.
People have been stalking her every second to get her and her baby’s pictures. Can you imagine that for yourself? Give her a break. I would have a grimace on my face too! And have you people ever thought of the fact that maybe she and her b/f DID use birth control and/or condoms! They are not always fool proof! My husband and I got married when I was 19. We went away on our honeymoon and I came back pregnant! I was on Depro shots and had just had an injection the day before my wedding! I never thought that would happen but life just has a way of throwing curve balls! Just because she doesn’t have a smile on her face to make a pretty picture doesn’t mean she thinks her life is over. Because it’s not. She was probably up nursing her 10 week old baby 3 or 4 times during the night and didn’t get very much sleep! !!

She is still under the age of 18, so that’s really disgusting of you to say that you must be a sick old man and prey on young girls.
Shes probably mad because people wont leave her alone. Shes probably tired of being told she messed up and shes a teen mom and shes irresponsable. I was a teen mom and my life didnt suck because I had a child to take care of. On my 19th birthday I had a 1 1/2 year old and a 4mth old and I was happy. Yes they both have the same dad and we are married and very happy. Just because someone has a kid at a young age does not mean they are unhappy. I might have been young but I always made sure my children were taken care of. Don’t get me wrong it is hard and I would not want my daughter to be a teen mom and not every teen mom takes responsibity but it looks to me like she is so why cant you people be glad she is taking good care of her and leave her alone. Thank you very much.
i have a 17-year-old friend that had a child at 13 and she couldn’t be more happy. teenage motherhood isn’t always a bad thing.

JL looks so tiny dang a kid gave birth to a kid. Oh well this is not the first time a teenage gave birth to a baby and it wont be the last

I had my daughter at 19 and she is the best thing that ever happend to me!!! You might think having a kid young ends your chances of having a life, but it made ours just get even better until you experience the joy of having your own child you will never understand but it is unconditional love that will never end.
