OlderBristol Palin Busted In Underage Drinking?
It was announced yesterday that Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is five-months pregnant. Now, pictures are surfacing on the Internet of the teenage girl supposedly drinking underage.
On top of all of that, The New York Post has identified the baby daddy as Levi Johnston (inset), Bristol’s high school sweetheart.
The teen hockey player’s personal MySpace page admits to him being ‘in a relationship’ but also states, “I don’t want kids.”
Levi continues to boast, “I’m a f - - -in’ redneck who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes. But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in’ chillin’ I guess.”
He even warns, “Ya f - - - with me I’ll kick [your] ass.”
UPDATE: Here’s the link to pictures of Bristol supposedly drinking. People claim the pictures are of Levi’s sister, taken two years ago. What do you think?

Thank you Dianne. Dear God, it’s sickening to read people ready to condemn people as if they know them personally and aren’t going on likely-exaggerated, 12th-hand information found on a web blog. Scary - these are the people who will be voting in November without real, non-gossip-related research on all the candidates.
And to reiterate a point, Christianity doesn’t demand that Christians live a perfect life. The basis for Christianity is to strive to make the right choices and to NOT condemn when you don’t; it’s the knowledge that we are all human.
I don’t know Sarah Palin personally - neither do any of you - but I do have a lot of respect for the fact that she IS standing by and not ashamed of her daughter and the situation they are all dealing with as a family. I don’t know anything about the boy who is going to be a father (I think we can all agree that a myspace page is not a great litmus test for who a person is in their actual life - but rather just a silly social networking tool), so I am not about to condemn him as a redneck or a jerk. People are SO quick to judge. It’s sad.
This IS relevant, and I’ll tell you why: the Republicans present themselves as the party of values. The actions of Bristol Palin speak to the values she was taught in the home by her parents- one of whom could be the leader of the free world should McCain choke on a pretzel.
Also, this is fair game because of the political climate that the right wing has created. Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, Sean Hannity, Joe Scarborough, Neal Boortz- what do you think they would say if this was one of Barack Obama’s daughters? Remember, Limbaugh was fond of referring to Chelsea Clinton as The White House Dog. So, we know that families are not off limits for the right wing. When you live by the sword, you also die by it.
Eat it, nut-jobs. Crucify her the way you would crucify a Democrat in the same situation.

Seems to me those are the very things that our Founding Fathers fought for and most Americans hold dear.
As for morality and family values, I don’t think the Republicans have a lock on that. All toe tapping under the bathroom stall aside, there are good and bad on both sides .
We should stop making fun of these people and pray for them and ask that their sins be forgiven. We should then come to terms with the fact that John McCain is well past his prime and is acting strange and pray for him to. Then we should all go vote for Obama,
Do not judge the woman just because she has a daughter who is pregnant. Mistakes happen and overall, people make mistakes and just because you are a good parents doesn’t mean your kids will be perfect and obedient.
So, instead of judging her based on her daughter, start looking at the her background, especially the kind of education she has. Sarah Palin got her B.A degree. If the president dies or becomes too ill to lead our nation, she will be sworn in as the president of our great nation. Think about it, what does she know about the constitution? She doesn’t have the basic foundation obtained through Juris Doctorate. Think again America! Vote smart for the right person. I am voting for Barack Obama. You have your choice. But please vote for the benefit of our country and not for McCain who will take us to another war with another country while the middle class Americans can’t pay for healthcare and are working for minimum wage. What a shame!
I dont look down on Bristol Palin for bein with child like some are doing. Sure she was irresponsible by not using protection just like many many others are guilty of including her boyfriend. I dont condone teens having sex, but it happens as we all know no matter how much sex education a teen gets. Some teens take heed, some teens just dont use their head. Now i am more upset hearing Bristol and her boyfriend will get married. Not because they want to..or they would have did so months ago before any of this hit the news. Its to save face…not for Bristol and Levi, but for the republican party….for McCain/Palin ticket….thats the part of this story that is sad !
forget the fact that she can’t control her daughter - i mean, who can really control a 17 yr old anyway. the point is that as a parent - someone who is responsible for other human lives and for guidance - governor palin’s judgement is clouded by her religious beliefs. if she can’t be rational and realistic enough to say to her children:
“even though i think you should practice abstinence and our religion disagrees with contraception, this is what you need to know about safety and birth control anyway”
then she isn’t fit to be in charge of a town, or a state, let alone our entire country. if she wants to believe in creationism, that is her problem and her prerogative, but if she can’t find a happy medium between reality and her superstitions, then she is a dangerous choice.
The fact of the matter is that McCain only chose Palin to squash down the momentum of the Obama campaign. He chose Palin because she was younger than any of the other qualified Republican women, he chose her because she did have a housefull of children and felt the working mothers would relate to her, men would vote for her because she is good looking and finally he wanted to win over the disgruntled Hillary voters.
McCain has the intelligence of a rat and has turned our politcal process into a joke. They never had any intentions on telling anyone about Bristol’s situation (or possible coverup), why because they were hoping that the American voting public would just drink the water and not ask why it taste funny! They were hoping that in less than 65 days they would be voted in and when the skeletons came tumbling out of the closet it would be to late to do anything about it.
Dirty I tell you, just dirty and yet people are rallying behind them like blinded mice and not looking at the whole picture. If something happen to McCain and she is president do you not think they will lie & bury the truth from the American public or what if she is caught up in a family crisis & a political crisis at the same time and makes the wrong decision because she is to emotionally involved with what is going on at home. This whole McCain/Palin thing is a shame and republicans should be mad but they are going along with it in order not to show division in the party (because they taunted the Democrats all year for division because of Hillary).
I am not being hard on Bristol and I am not being hard on the parents either. I think, if the parents are so much pro-life beleivers, they should have helped their daughter with preventive alternatives before this had to surface. When you have a teenage daughter (s) anything like this could happen. Birth control methods are alternatives. If you and your daughter are close and have a good relationship your daughter would not embarass they parents especially if they know their mother is running for public office. Maybe Bristol is somewhat rebellious and seeking attention from her mother because of Sarah having too many irons in the fire and not enough time to spend with her daughter (s) as them being teenagers. To a degree, it’s okay to persue a career, but first allow your children of five growup and be responsible for their actions or be out of the home. Sarah should have taken on this career before children and stopped when she had them to raise. Teenagers are vulnerable and have peer pressures. If Bristol was close to her mother maybe she could have talked with her about preventive methods. I will say at this point is” good luck” to the family.
It’s becoming more and more clear that Palin will become a liability.

i dont think a teenage girl should be punished for the rest of her life for making the mistake of having sex without birth control .its a big world and its such a shame to see a young girl waste her life being a wife and mom so early..who knows what she couldve become…in a way this is a good thing ,maybe more parents will talk to their kids about sex and how just even one unprotected encounter can change your life forever…
I believe that Sarah Palin and her husband Todd have done the best they can to raise their children. As a parent of teenagers, you can only teach them values and pray God will do the rest. Just because her daughter made a bad decision doesn’t mean Republicans are hypocritical. We try to teach our children but in the end they will make their own decisions. We were all given free will. I think we should leave the kids alone.

guess what! I’m 17 i and all of my friends and I drink alcohol every weekend. We all have sex and we go to a private catholic high school with a mix of democratic and republican parents. Shocking I know. Regardless of your political party, teenagers shall be teenagers. My parents were always open with me and taught me about safe sex, which I think is very important. Maybe that’s where Sarah went wrong, that’s where she is a hypocrite. If shes not prochoice, she should be pro sex ed. Maybe she got what she deserved.
You can teach your kids about sex and they still make their own decisions in the end. Giving them condoms doesn’t mean they won’t still get pregant. Raising kids is a hard job for anyone and kids don’t come with an owner’s manuel. If Bristol wants to make something of her life she can. Being a wife and mother is one of the highest callings that I know and I am proud to be just that and also have a college degree.
Leave the girl alone. Barack was doing cocaine when he was just a few years older than her and now he is running for president. She will be fine.

I consider myself to be pro-choice, I probably would not have an abortion at this stage in my life, but I believe I and all women should have the option available to them. Abortion is not the automatic choice for all unplanned pregancies, even if the mother is a teenager. Did you ever consider the possibility that Bristol chose to keep this baby all on her own? Did any of you consider that?
What matters simply is that the Republicans are suggesting that the Democrats are over the top with reaction to this VP choice, their family standards….etc. But ask yourself, would the Republicans - even their ‘leaders’ be as decent as Obama’s campaign…and they would have tons and tons and tons to say on all their conservative tv, media outlets if it as a Democrat…let alone colour, race or any other issue.
McCain ultimately is the one to hold accountable. For his choice solely to get into the White house, and drag this beautiful country further and further into economic and international hell

The points are pretty simple. Palin is an ultra conservative anti-abortion (aka anti-choice) and anti sex-ed, her daughter got pregnant in high school (as of course many children do) and has no right to preach. Inability to supervise a teen in terms of sex and alcohol is hardly a rarity but for the party that always claims the moral high ground and cites Clinton’s infidelity as typical democrat, the teen pregnancies, senators propositioning in mens rooms, Keating 5, revealing spies, drunk driving (Palin, Bush, etc.), maximum fundraising in the name of lower income non-McCain supporters, etc.,etc. gets pretty old.
As to the bozo calling Barack Obama “Osama,” if you recognize yourself as racist fine, otherwise its time to accept it. To change a Black Christian’s name to an enemy Muslim’s name is pure racism. It is worse than equally false implications that McCain is a drunk penny-pinching Scot, or entering senile dementia, or a traitor who turned in his fellow Americans and prisoners to survive, or to state Palin must be an idiot as a former beauty contestant, or must hate her country since she was a member of the political party attempting to pull Alaska from the US, or likely to be unavailable to run the country should the oldest elected president in US history fail because she is likely to be pregnant again, or to state without proof that her latest child wasn’t hers.
Who ever thinks that you can control a 17 yr old teen 100 percent, doesn’t have kids. In the end Bristol and Levi decided to have sex not her Mom. Come on, was everybody an angel when they were 17, maybe you guys are way to old to remember when you were a teen.

I would never push my teenage daughter into a loveless marriage…I would have more respect for Sarah Palin if she would of said….I will give my blessing and support to my daughter Bristo and boyfriend Levi if they truely love each other and they both want to get married. As we all read on Levi’s MySpace…he is no more ready than a man in the moon to get married. If Palin forces her daughter and this young boy to marry…just because she is in the running for VP…then that tell me …Palin is putting herself before the welfare of her daughters’
