Gossip Girl Ratings Are Up!
The ratings for last night’s season two premiere of Gossip Girl are up from last year, according to THR.
Gossip Girl pulled in 3.3 million viewers and was up “6% from its premiere last year in the adult demo (and up 10% among the network’s key 18-34 demographic).”
NBC’s Deal or No Deal drew the most viewers Monday with 10.9 million. It gave away its first $1 million to Jessica Robinson, a mother-to-be from Sandy, Utah. The two-hour premiere of FOX’s Prison Break was down 21% from its debut last year, pulling in 6.5 million.
FYI: If you thought the premiere of Gossip Girl was good, next week’s episode is even better!!! Blair (Leighton Meester) has some unforgettable lines, as usual!!!

I loved all of the chuck and blair scenes! if only he could of told her that he loves her but i still love him and hopefully he says it soon

I had a feeling ratings would be up this time. There was so much buzz around the show it was hard to miss it.
Leighton looked absolutely GORGEOUS throughout the whole episode. More gorgeous than usual!

it was so sad when blair left chuck at the end..He should of said he loved her because we all know he loves her… i hope that marcus guy doesnt last long cuz i want blair and chuck together :)
The acting between Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick this episode was brilliant! Really heartbreaking. :(
is this show supposed to be satire? all the male characters appear to be gay,is that intentional? is that part of the plot? how old are these people supposed to be ? sorry for so many questions its hard to start watching a soap opera after missing a whole season…

Can we just call this the Blair show?? For real now, she was stellar! Her and Ed pull off the angst like nobody’s business. I was so looking forward to this ep and was totally spoiled but it still rocked.

I’m so happy that the ratings are up.I couldn’t be any more excited!!! I love GG and larger ratings (always a plus) mean more & more episodes of GG.. (I’ve never really watched an entire episode of One Tree Hill) but the show has stayed on the television/the cw for 6 seasons now, so I’m hopping that the CW will do the same with Gossip Girl.
I’m sooo glad that it’s back!! Last night was amazing!

One Tree Hill’s ratings were UP as well, which says everything about the quality of these shows ie. they are both CRAP.
Given the media saturation coverage, 3m is pathetic. The network won’t be able to survive on those ratings.

To be honest the only great part of the episode last night was Chuck and Blair all angsty and I didnt even realised I was a Chuck/Blair fan. Most of it was a waste especially Nate’s storyline with the older woman. Nice to see Dan and Serena together. Overall it wasnt a great episode but it is nice to see the show back and hopefully it gets better. Also 3.3million is not great considering the amount of promo that has been done for the show, but I guess it is a start lets just hope the rating keeps going up and not down.

It was cool but Skins on BBC America is far better and hilarious. It airs on Sunday nights.
I love Gossip Girl and the only reason why I watch it is because of Chuck and Blair. Their scenes in the episode was off the hook. There was so much chemistry in the air and ALL od it is becasue of Chuck and Blair. I can’t wait for next weeks episode because base on the promos Blair does have a lot of unforgettable lines.
