Lindsay Lohan just blogged about the pregnancy of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter Bristol. Here’s what she wrote in her political blog entry:
“I’ve been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and I keep hearing about the issues related to ‘teen pregnancy’- It’s all related to Sarah Palin and her 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.
“I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter’s pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin’s views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what. Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.”
Lindsay also quoted Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who was born to an 18-year-old mother. He said, “Let me be as clear as possible. I think people’s families are off-limits, and people’s children are especially off-limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president. [Reporters should] back off these kinds of stories. How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.”
LiLo then finished off her blog post with a bit of parental advice, urging moms and dads to talk to their kids about sex. She said, “I heard a woman say on Today on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, I think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster….. I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren’t protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)”

Thank you, Melissa. Choosing Palin is a prime example of McCain’s rash decision-making. It’s obvious that she wasn’t vetted properly. And I don’t think we’ve heard the whole story. I’m not at all sure that Bristol isn’t already the mother of Trig, and they’ve fabricated this story to cover-up Palin’s lies when she faked her pregnancy last spring. As an OB nurse, I can tell you it’s incredibly dangerous to get on a plane for an 8-hour flight when you’re leaking amniotic fluid in the 8th month of pregnancy (especially when it’s your fifth pregnancy)! Something isn’t right, and it’s not just a teenage pregnancy.
lindsay should take care of herself before talking about other peoples problems, but in this i think she is right.

Why are you so concerned with what Palin’s teenage daugter? Are you this concerned about Obama’s choice of preacher? Just because Sarah Palin is conservative, doesn’t mean that her children are. Most every parent will agree that they would prefer their children to wait to have sex until marriage but, how many people actually do that? My point is parents can have their views but it doesn’t mean that a 17 year-old is going to follow them.
Oh, and you need to really get a life. I mean really, you’re not convinced that this isn’t Bristol’s second pregnancy? You’re just a loser trying to start a rumor!

No need to call me a loser, no need to be rude… I just want my party to get out of this mess!
As for Palin, I am chocked that Mc Cain could not find a better vice-president with less skeletons in her closet! That does not reflect well on us… and if he knew about this pregnancy, he knew that it would stop some of us to vote for the republican party this time… and that was not very smart… that you believe like me that Palin does not seem to have much control of what happens in her family or not!
I am not talking about Obama, I am not voting for him either cos I am a republican but I won’t vote for Mc Cain if he keeps Palin. No party is able to represent well my ideas if he keeps her.
PS: I am not happy with Palin for having taken part in an organisation that supports the independence of Alaska. As for the “troopergate”…she is under investigation, innocent until proven guilty so that does not detter me from voting for her at that point.
