Double Your Sarah Palin Pleasure
Both Republicans and Democrats will be pleased that OK! Magazine is going with a double cover this week.
The Sarah Palin cover highlights both baby scandals the family is facing. The cover story will delve into how Sarah’s standing by her 17-year-old pregnant daughter Bristol plus the “real truth” about her baby son Trig, who has Down Syndrome.
The Barack Obama cover is a tad more lighthearted with the Democratic nominee talking about life with his daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. The girls apparently get Harry Potter read to them before bed and have their parents sit front row at their dance recitals.
And guess who’s on the cover of Us Weekly this week too? Yep, Palin!

I think these two covers show the unbearable bias in our media. I mean, why are the Obamas being portrayed as the perfect family when most of the people I know are more like the Palins? It’s clearly an attempt to sway people to the Obama side and I hope people are smart enough to see through it. I guess the only good thing is it has all of us talking about the election for a change.
This is just goes to prove how quickly and absurdly the media can bend a story. The MEDIA chooses our politicians like they do our celebrities — by bending the truth and making believing lemmings out of the public.
People, CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES! Don’t be sucked into all the media hype. It’s obvious that they want Obama to be the next President. He is, after all, currently the world’s biggest celebrity. I’m sure if we were to get a truthful, candid, all-baring look into his past and family, we would find issues and obstacles that put a noticeable dent in his BMW-ride to the White House.
Wow, Republicans have got to be the biggest hypocrites in the world. I’m sorry, but a story about a loving father and his children is slightly more positive than a teenage girl becoming a mother. Why is there a double standard? The same people who rail against teenage pregnancy when they’re talking about girls in the inner city are now praising the Palins’ because their daughter is pregnant and she’s keeping the baby. What about values? Morals? Bad role model? You know the stuff you were saying about Jamie Lynn Spears? This party has decided what’s moral in this country for the last twenty years and they have taken aim at everyone and now that their candidate for VP is laded with all of this baggage, now everything is off limits and below the belt. But, I remember a few short weeks ago when these same blowhards were posting pictures of John Edwards’ love child. Isn’t she an innocent? Didn’t she deserve to be shielded from the prying eyes of the public? And please stop with the comparisons of Palin’s and Obama’s record. Obama has been a legislator for over 12 years on the state and national level. He has written countless pieces of legislation and has foreign policy experience. And oh yeah, he’s really, really smart. I really don’t understand the necessity of McCain supporters devaluing Obama’s lifetime of experience to highlight how qualified Palin is. I will take the smart guy who has worked hard and earned what he has rather than the guy who finished in the bottom 1% of his class and is only here because of his wife’s money.

Palin can use her Downs Syndrome baby on the cover of multiple tabloids to get sympathy and votes! but her 17 year old pregnant and underage drinking daughter is off limits…give me a f……g break!!!

It’s normal for a mother to be seen with her baby, and since she is the Republicans’ candidate for VP, her picture with her baby on the cover of a magazine is also normal.
Obama himself has said that families should be off limits.
His own mother got pregnant when she was 17, and I’m not sure if she was already married to his father at the time. She gave birth to him when she was 18.

Right now Obama has put Wright away, but if he wins there is no reason anymore to hide the man who married him and his wife, and baptized their children. Didn’t he also baptize Obama? Didn’t Obama say he sees Wright as an uncle?
When Wright spoke at the Press Club in Washington, I think he also said if Obama wins, he’d ‘come after him.’ Whatever that means.

Wasn’t Obama’s mother 17 when she conceived him. He said she had him when she was 18. Do you know if Obama’s mother married his father at least 9 months before he was born? If the answer is ‘no,’ there’s really no difference, is there!

…I guess her other kids are too much of an embarassment or risk for her now, plus you always get more sympathy from showing the kid that has the disability.
Her oldest, a son, is about to leave for Iraq! Her daugher is not the only teen that got pregnant.

I think other posters then calculated that she got pregnant when she was seventeen, and married Obama’s father after she conceived, because he was born a few months after they married. I didn’t pay too much attention, so I don’t have the dates. It’s what I read.
Palin’s daughter is going to do the same thing.
We know her son is about to leave for Iraq, she already made sure to put that story out day one just like did the baby. Yet she chose not to mention the joy of becoming a grandmother because that is the embarassment of her own judgmental teachings to others that was going to bite her in the butt. Also, the only reason she mentioned the pregnancy was to ward off the information that she was not Trig’s mother but his grandma otherwise you would not have known nothing about it until Nov. 4.
Again as others have posted in here Obama’s mother have nothing to do with this election. NO ONE cares that his mother had him at 18 she is not running for VP or president. Only the republican followers keep throwing that tid bit out like it makes some difference to the judgment of this Palin woman. The problem with Palin is that she wanted to share what she thought was good news to get votes and look good in the public eye but hid the what she considered to be bad from the public until she was literally forced to do so. I see that as deceit and if she can do that now what do you think she will try to cover up and lie about in office, IF she becomes president.

Obama doesn’t want Palin attacked for this because it’s exactly the same story as his mother’s. Obama insists that his people leave Palin’s family alone.
I think they are both despicable for exposing their children. This campaign is not supposed to be about their families. First of all, Obama is the one running for president. Palin only Vice President. So why are we comparing the two. They should both leave their children out of this and focus their campaign on the important issues of this country. Not, “who is the better parent?”

Palin is really a disgusting woman.Look at Obama’s wife!She is a true ,strong,and very respectable woman.Plus she is classy and it’s not because she is black.No matter the color!
And yet McCain would attack Obama as being too big of a celebrity.
With all the family problem/happening - child with DS and a child being pregnant, shd Palin be home taking care of her children or shd she be out they campaigning and exposing her children to the terrible media.
A child with DS need attention and care in their eraly years. Is she going to leave this baby to a nanny/nurse to care for if she is elected as VP. Even now look she is bringinh hger baby around campaigning. The baby need rest, plenty of it, not travelling in plane/buses around USA and appearing on stage etc etc.
TIMING is not now for her or is it COUNTRY FIRST for her.
Also, why she is for killing of animals??? It is also taking of a life, an animal life.
In this world, there are rights and wrong. Is abortion right or wrong. Even in the strictest of religion, there is still a flexibilty for abortion depending on the circumstances. Aborting an unborn fetus may be right if the child is going to come to this world with all the disadvantages surrounding him i.e illness, sufferings in his life. Just like when we decide to or not to take off life supporting equipment from a brain dead patient. What is right or wrong is the individual’s thinking. No one shd impose their views on other. If Palin feel that bringing a DS child into this world is correct and they will be able to care for him for the rest of his life, good for them. Maybe another family will opt to abort to prevent their child from sufferings and disadvantages faced by a Down Syndrome Person. I have seen many DS Kids and i sympathise with the parents as they have to give more attention to the care of this kid and some have given up their jobs to care for the kids. Mother take a year or even two years off to care for their kids.
A VP job is different from our every day 9-5job or that her job can be carried out with her being at home caring for baby and taking care of the country.. A Governor of Alaska vs the VP of US??? That is a big big difference. Just like comparing the owner/ manager of the neighbourhood grocery store with the CEO of Walmart. What will happen if anything happen to McCain???? A VP is the asst to the Pres. and has to stepped in to be commander of chief if he is not able to perform his duty.
Hilary C will be a better VP than Palin. Those who voted for HC shd know that there is no comparision between the two except that both are mother and wife.
The child with down’s syndrome is Palin’s. Now how is the decision to raise a child with this disease a scandal? I believe that deciding to murder (abort) that child would be a scandal! Yet instead, Palin believes in life!
