personally, i thought it was a good teen drama… but it should not be called 90210. if you had just tuned in and missed scenes with kelly, brenda and nat.. you would just think it was another oc/90210 rip-off. it may have some of the same characters and some of the babies grown up (erin silver/hannah zuckerman), but it’s just NOT 90210.

i like the characters and the actors, but they don’t live up to the hype. the whole show didn’t live up to the hype and the 2-hours just made it dull. the first hour was better.

i thought this show was so boring and dumb. i didn’t like it at all. it reminds me of a racier version of sweet valley high…the issues and themes presented on this show have been recycled on so many other shows. nothing is different. it’s just the same old same old. i couldn’t get into the story at all… but i did see gossip girl yesterday and loved it. 90210 should just go away. all that hype for nothing. rating= F!

Honestly, I don’t want to write this show off, but I thought I was watching the O.C. That’s not good since it’s the original O.C., But, I’ll try to give it a chance. Also, there’s the Gossip Girl factor. The only thing that separatesit from GG is the narrator. P.S. The Annie character is annoying. The kids look less troubled than the original. Maybe the acting in the original was stronger.

All teen shows are a remake of the original 90210, including Gossip Girl. None of them do anything new or interesting, but they’re just fun to watch because they’re so mindless. This was no different.

* I thought it was really good. You can’t compare the old vs. new. Different styles.

* The story line was pretty good.

* The one part that I hated was when they mentioned the unknown child and they didn’t the show the father telling his wife. I thought this was the POW scene throughout the night but they didn’t really deliver the scene like it should have been.

Overall: 7/10. Better acting (which should evolve) would make it an 8.5/10.

I liked it. It was the pilot so I am sure it will just get better. I like the character Naomi. So far she seems like the only one who is not so one dimensional but I am sure the other characters will become more intriguing as time goes on (hopefully). I still like Gossip Girl better but to be fair that show has been on a lot longer and its pilot wasn’t that great. So hopefully it will just get better. And love seeing Brenda and Kelly!!

I didn’t watch it, I really did not care for it, but I congrats for all the good reviews. I’ll just stick to my One Tree Hill!

90210 needs a longer break to wait until gossip girl gets off the air.

When the CW first announced the 90210 spin-off, i wasn’t really interested at all. But when they announced Annalynne McCord was cast in the show, i just had to watch it because of her role in nip/tuck (a must-see). Beautiful and talented actress. I expect great things from her in the future.

I didn’t like it or hate it. Which is an improvement over the original which I did not like at all. I just thought it was totally unnessecary and inconsequental. Which means it’s a perfect for the CW. I won’t be spending anymore time on it.

I will say I through about an hour and twenty mintues of the two pilot as opposed to the pilot of “Gossip Girl” of which I watched exactly one second of and never went back. So I would say 90210 part Deux is an improvement.

i thought it started out a little slow but after about 15 minutes i was really getting into it and i actually reallt liked it!

I was faithful to the original and I watched this one. I personally thought it was boring and the same old recycled crap that’s on every other teen show. I didn’t give a rat’s ass about any of the characters. Two HUGE thumbs down.

This show is so bad that if it continues for more than one season I will be hoping for the end of the universe.

I loved the show. Except I thought it would be a little more mirrored to today’s cultural mix. There is only one ethnic main character. There should be more of a mix. The asian culture, latino culture and more African Americans should be on the show, even as supporting characters. Like vice principal or something.

As its popularity grows I hope the producers will add more color to the cast, and not totally replicate the orginial 90210.

OMG my husband and I loved it. We laughed, the humor was great. We both grew up on the origonal! My adolescents came back in a heartbeat!! Keep in mind he is almost 40 and loved it. We plan on watching next week! Something to get excited about on Tuesdays!

Show was great…great to see old friends and nice to make some new ones:) Cant wait to see the rest of the series.

One aspect of this show really got under my skin. I know this might sound racial, but why does the only black guy on the show have to come from the ghetto and be adopted by white parents. It is as if the writers are suggesting that this is the only realistic way a black person could possible live in BH.

This should not be called 90210. Its not really like the real show. It was not a bad show to watch, I found it interesting. But it defiantly is going to make girls feel bad about themselves, the girls are all stick thin, tall, and model like. The orginal 90210, the girls were all heathly and normal….

waiting for it to live up to the hype. With putting 10 years of my life into the orignal this one was really bad.

its family, its life its the new 90210!

Growing up with the original cast and show was a blast and I had to wath the premire of the new cast and hopefully the start of a wonderful adventure for a new generation. The show was deff not a replica of the orginal but had its moments letting the original shince again which I loved. Im a lot older now and I am gonna try and keep up with the new show in hopes that I will get to follow along with the older cast. But to you younger folks I hope you enjoy this 90210 as much as I did the the Beverly hills 90210. It helped me through a lot of times so enjoy it may be a little over played with the money and things but these events that they go through can relate to any one and if you want to see the original show you can go to cbs and see where all of these teen soaps started and it all began with 90210 so its good to see a rebirth of the begining

ok. i was so pumped for this to work and i am hoping for the best. it was way too jammed packed for a premeire…they really need to pace themselves. i like the little jokes thrown in for the fans of the old show but i had one huge problem, why are they starving the chick who plays silver and shanae grimes? i have watched shanae for years and she looks mad unhealthy. btw, naiomi looks 40 and KELLEN LUTZ (george) needs a bigger part and hooray for the return of boozy jackie! alas, not as good as gossip girl.

Words cannot describe how HORRIBLE this show turned out to be. From the predictable plots and subpar wardrobe (forever 21 much) this show tuned out to be a lame knock-off! Haven’t we seen enough classic fish out of water stories (The O.C., GG, the original 90210). The only difference is that this show features no original ideas whatsoever!! Atleast Gossip Girl’s script is witty (and the wardrobe amazing) and the O.C.’s pilot episode was solid….NEW WRITERS PLEASE!!!!

#75, it would be great if you could place yourself in the cast. Like I’d mentioned before…it was great to see that some of the members of the original cast were included…and I think the producers knew they had to do that. I’ll see how much more I will follow it…I don’t feel the distinction between the characters, nor do I have any empathy for their concerns…they lack the charisma of the older characters…that’s the problem with casting shows now days…the young actors have this old jaded look that makes them blend into the network…there is not a inkling of wanting to know them better. I hope this changes…and I don’t think they need to up the ante by making them more jaded…just get some good story lines in there…I watched the show and was a bit disappointed, but was happy to see the original characters…that made it worth the watch. Besides, maybe someone would hire me to be the costumer for the show, the ratings may be better…. = D

I thought it was terrible. It felt vapid and contrived. I love the original series and the new 90210 does not seem to have the same charm. I knew something was amiss when by the end of the 2 hour premiere I felt nothing for any of the characters and what happens to them. And the character of Ethan (who I think is supposed to be the new Dylan) is terrible. The guy can’t act, is not that cute and should have been one of the side line characters.Overall a really miss and Gossip Girl really is waaaaay better.

I was a huge fan of the original 90210. I don’t think this one can hold a candle up to the original. This is a show that you cannot remake. There will only be one Brandon one Dylon and one Steve. I think if they were going to remake this then they should have reached out to Brandon, Dylon and brought them back on the show as well. I am glad that Brenda and Kelly are back but they are not enough. I mean in this Kelly has a kid ??? who is the father??? Then the part where the principal and Kelly knew each other in the past, they had a picture together? Who is he and where was he in the original? Exactly he wasnt. I dont think this show should have been remade and i will always stay true to the original show and characters. We miss all the original characters.

i just watched the first part of the premiere but it hasn’t gotten me excited to watch the rest. the characters are boring, they should have started to give the characters more life, i think they wanted to give the show glamour and stuff and forgot the characters..

The pilot was not that great. I kept hoping it would get better, but it never did. The producers should have left Beverly Hills, 90210 as it was. A remake was not necessary.

I mean, it was great to see orginal cast members. But, that was the only thing that excited me.

I heard plenty of cheesy remarks. This show is just a mixture of MEAN GIRLS, THE OC, GOSSIP GIRL, and such. There was nothing really special about the pilot.

I was disapointed, I thought it brought a shame to the original, Berverly Hills, 90210.

I think it was pretty good as far as teen dramas go. MOST (not all) of the actors were pretty good looking, which is always a plus. I think that this show is going to turn into the new guilty pleasure. It’s going to be one of those shows that everyone watches, but doesn’t admit that they like it. I think that the character development is going to be interesting as well, and to see whose kid Sammy is. I wonder if it could be Brandon’s or Dyaln’s perhaps?? I’ll tune in, and admit to doing it!

I have high hopes for this show and have already gotten into the story line…is Kelly’s son Brandons? I would love it if he came back. I think it would of been nice to just do a now of the original 90210 cast, what their lives are like now…that may of been boring, but so far with the pilot it was good. I like all the characters besides Naomi…but you always have to have that one girl on a show like this. Next weeks show will determine if it is good or not, you can’t really judge off the pilot as they have so much to get done in that 2 hour window, with introducing characters etc. So far though I am happy with it.

I was a huge fan of the original so I thought I’d give this one a shot and it wasn’t half bad. It intrigued me enought to schedule my DVR to record it and I’ll watch it again this coming week.

I would love to see more of the old characters back for the original. Maybe if it becomes a hit will entice more of the originals to return. :0)

The new “kids” all look like dried-up 30-year-old coke-heads. While it’s true that Tori Spelling would’ve fit right in (sans the fake knockers), I missed the tiny hint of baby fat present during Brenda and Kelly’s early years.

Aaron Spelling would have been livid by the choice of Shenae Grimes for actress for this role. This lady cant act for s@#t!!! I have always been a dedicated 90210 fan and have watched every episode of the original series when I was younger. Gotta give Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty credit, their performances are still awesome, even Ann Gillespie still has it, but this choice of Shenae Grimes for lead they need their heads read. She is so fake, her actings appalling, you don’t believe a word that comes out of her mouth and her stupid little giggles like shes trying to be nice grrr, its like someone scraping their nails down the blackboard. I just hope Tori comes back and has some say in this, seeing it was her Dads show Shenae is destroying and throws her ass right out of there before the show ends up as another failed remake because I sure can’t bear the thought of watching much more of her.

I liked it enough to tune in again… I don’t like the Shenae Grimes as the lead… her facial expressions are getting irritating…. she just isn’t right for the role. Naomi is a fabulous character! One problem is that the cast don’t look like teenagers….. Ratings will drop if they can’t keep the show on a regular schedule. If it isn’t off the air for holidays, then it is in some sort of repeat mode. It gets old trying to tune in only to be disappointed.

I am a HUGE fan of the original series (all 10 seasons). In fact I still watch those episodes all the time. And I have to say I HATE this show. It is not nearly as good as the originals. In fact its incredibly boring. I have to admit I have only watched three episodes though and that is more than enough for me.
