The first reviews are in from last nigiht’s two-hour premiere of the much-buzzed-about 90210. Check it.

This show is so bad that if it continues for more than one season I will be hoping for the end of the universe.
I really wanted to like it - but it was SO BAD!!! I’m surprised there are so positive reviews - it was glaringly bad in my opinion.

Nay. I think it was an insult to the original. It was rather boring. There was nothing unique about it. I thought the acting of a few of the younger cast was bad and way over the top. And it’s pretty bad when the adults are the best looking ones on a teen show.
I loved the show. Except I thought it would be a little more mirrored to today’s cultural mix. There is only one ethnic main character. There should be more of a mix. The asian culture, latino culture and more African Americans should be on the show, even as supporting characters. Like vice principal or something.
As its popularity grows I hope the producers will add more color to the cast, and not totally replicate the orginial 90210.
it was so nice to see kelly and brenda! they’re the only reason why i watched the pilot. and i hope brandon comes back as sammy’s dad!
although, i liked the annie and dixon brother-sister relationship! and i love it that erin’s on the show. naomi is sooo not a WBH queen bee—they could’ve gotten someone better.
OMG my husband and I loved it. We laughed, the humor was great. We both grew up on the origonal! My adolescents came back in a heartbeat!! Keep in mind he is almost 40 and loved it. We plan on watching next week! Something to get excited about on Tuesdays!

One aspect of this show really got under my skin. I know this might sound racial, but why does the only black guy on the show have to come from the ghetto and be adopted by white parents. It is as if the writers are suggesting that this is the only realistic way a black person could possible live in BH.
I kind of like it, it was ok. GG is better i have to admit. But I really love Kelly, I hope she stays in the show for good, and it was great that her sister was incorporated into the show.

i’ll give them an A for effort…but other than that it just really sucked! i was bored out of my mind thinking there’s 2 hours of my life i’ll never get back. i think the adults/parents/faculty are more interesting than their kids. which kind of sucks if the kids are suppose to be the “stars” of the show. the o.c. was more like 90210 than this version of 90210. i think i’ll stick with OTH and reruns of the the previous 90210 series for now. overall…gorgeous people…bad acting!!! i won’t be watching again!
This should not be called 90210. Its not really like the real show. It was not a bad show to watch, I found it interesting. But it defiantly is going to make girls feel bad about themselves, the girls are all stick thin, tall, and model like. The orginal 90210, the girls were all heathly and normal….

waiting for it to live up to the hype. With putting 10 years of my life into the orignal this one was really bad.
I liked it. I thought it was cool that the kids of the originals were part of the show., like silver, and hannah Zuckerman. Hopefully we find out what happened beween Kelly & Dylan. Did anyone find Naomi pretty? I thought she was funny looking.
I actually liked the show. I say YAY! Looking forward to seeing it next week, I think the boys are hot too!

IT WASNT INTERESTING AT ALL!!!! I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE ORIGINAL SERIES, AND I WAS VERY EXCITED THAT IT WAS BACK ON BUT UNFORTUNATLY THE BEST PART WAS WHEN NAT, BRENDA & KELLY WERE ON, OTHER THAN THAT ITS HORRIBLE.. THEY NEED TO BRING BACK MORE CHARACTERS FROM THE ORIGINAL SERIES FOR THIS TO BE A HIT SHOW….
IF THEY DONT I CAN GUARANTEE THEY WILL LOSE MANY IF NOT ALL VIEWERS..

I agree with the other post # 71. It was very boring and I feel that kelly, brenda and even harry wilson were the best part of the show. Bring back the original cast.
Growing up with the original cast and show was a blast and I had to wath the premire of the new cast and hopefully the start of a wonderful adventure for a new generation. The show was deff not a replica of the orginal but had its moments letting the original shince again which I loved. Im a lot older now and I am gonna try and keep up with the new show in hopes that I will get to follow along with the older cast. But to you younger folks I hope you enjoy this 90210 as much as I did the the Beverly hills 90210. It helped me through a lot of times so enjoy it may be a little over played with the money and things but these events that they go through can relate to any one and if you want to see the original show you can go to cbs and see where all of these teen soaps started and it all began with 90210 so its good to see a rebirth of the begining
