Britney Spears To Open VMAs — CONFIRMED!

Britney Spears will open the 2008 Video Music Awards, confirms MTV

“MTV has long played an important role in my career,” Britney says in a statement. “How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMA’s? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”

Although Brit Brit is kicking off this year’s VMAs, there will not be a performance. So what will it be? A surprise that should not to be missed!

Britney is nominated this year for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me.”

The VMAs will air this Sunday, September 7th @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV.

What could she do to entertain us?? The best thing she ever did was act crazy in public.. it was so much more real than any singing, dancing or acting she has done…

Why can’t she just take the mass amounts of money she swindled from the world, and go the **** away for good?? please??

I have always been a britney fan. I actually got in “tussle” with a teacher in a 300 person class in from of everyone cause he was dissing britney. Her blackout CD was amazing, i had to drive across the country and i didnt even need anything else on my iPod.

I think its a performance because they said it wasnt expected and stuff. maybe she will do like a dance idk. maybe shell act i mean idk but i think its a performence they are just trying to keep hush. Because i mean what else can she do? at a MUSIC award show.

This is great news. I cannot wait. I was hoping that she would be able to redeem herself from last year. I have all the faith in her that she is going to bring the house down. She is a different person from last year, and she is taking herself seriously again. This is soo great… Good luck girl! Show them what a real performer can do. You have it in you!
