Britney Spears To Open VMAs — CONFIRMED!

Britney Spears will open the 2008 Video Music Awards, confirms MTV

“MTV has long played an important role in my career,” Britney says in a statement. “How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMA’s? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”

Although Brit Brit is kicking off this year’s VMAs, there will not be a performance. So what will it be? A surprise that should not to be missed!

Britney is nominated this year for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me.”

The VMAs will air this Sunday, September 7th @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV.

i am so extremely proud and happy for Britney! It seems like shes getting her life back together. Shes looking so GREAT in her latest bikini pics! I hope she keeps it up and that her opening performance will be kick-ass! No doubt about it!

It’s not going to be a flop like last year, ’cause she’s more prepared. I don’t think that she’s gonna be singing. We’re talking about the same album of last year, so they won’t use a kind of “old” thing. But, it could be something as a comic stand performance. Remember the TV publicity !

But, sooner or later, she’s gonna be back better than ever. I hope that life teach her a lesson. Hope that she will stand in the right way now, for the sakes of her kids and herself.
