Katie Holmes: Jeans Watch Continues!
Katie Holmes breaks out the pencil jeans as she arrives to her All My Sons rehearsal at Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City on Thursday.
Seems like Katie’s definitely been putting in her dues, yes?
Katie’s recent musical performance on Eli Stone was commented on by co-star Matt Letscher. “She does a song-and-dance number that is the best one we’ve ever done,” Letscher said. “We’ve done tons of [musical numbers], and she was just phenomenal!”
Eli Stone airs on Thursday at 10pm on ABC starting this fall.

I don’t think it’s too hard for the paps to know where Katie is going to arrive and at what time for her rehearsals. She’s been doing it practicaly every morning for the past month or 6 weeks. She does not “set up” these photo ops…she’s just living her life.
Looking good Katie. Don’t know why so many of you are so mean. What has Katie done to deserve all the neg. comments, really?? She doesn’t run around drunk and wasted and by all accounts is an extrememly sweet person just living her life admirably.
Where do you get that she is an extremely sweet person? That’s the second time I’ve heard that claim. I have friends who used to do extra work down in Wilmngfton all the time both for Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill and by all accounts she is rather snobby and uptight.

That’s funny. You just described your own problem. Though I understand you haven’t quite grasped it yet.
Misconception is a very tricky word. It implies you know that absolute truth of the matter. As does your claim that you have to ‘correct’ people. That implies you believe yourself to be right, and others to be wrong.
There is only one thing I believe to be one hundred percent truth, and that’s the fact you do not know Katie Holmes or Tom Cruise. You do not know anything about their private lives. You have never met, spoken or interacted with them in any human way.
If someone heard rumor, or believes from seeing her drab sourpuss in photos every day that she is sad or depressed or constipated or in need of emergency auditing, then they are entitled to that opinion. They don’t need, nor I imagine want, you to try to correct that impression with your own.
Because what you might see? It’s what YOU see, not me. You see?
You are not some truthsayer. You are not a purveyor of justice. You are not a friend, neighbor, acquaintance or anyone even remotely related to either one of these celebrities. You’re just a guy with a little too much free time on your hands and easy access to a computer.
Your opinions hold no more weight than the next person’s. I’d say they hold even less than most, because you have no personal knowledge whatsoever to the subjects involved. You have only rumor and hearsay, and tabloid stories just so long as they are positive.
I was also going to suggest that collecting cans to feed the homeless idea sounds like an excellent project for you to get started on. At least then your energy would be focused on a far more worthy cause.

I never pass opinions off as facts, #56.
If I ever sound like I’m giving an absolute statement when I correct an misconception, it’s because I’m backing up by a general acknowledged opinion of a detail in the couple’s life based on testimony by friends, family, passersby and respected sources of entertainment news or common sense.
When it’s not a general accepted fact by the public backed by evidence or common sense, I always use the words ‘probably’ or ‘in my opinion’ or the like.
Can you prove when I’ve NEVER done that when it comes to a TomKat rumor?
You don’t have to tell me that I don’t know jack about the couple’s private lives because…

I have no problem with people thinking she’s depressed or anything like that. Unfortunately, about 99% of people who believe in whatever unproven rumor forget to do one wrong thing:
They never simply prefaced ‘in my opinion.’ Or ‘probably.’ Or ‘I’m guessing.’ Or any such phrase denoting that what they believe is a personal belief not proven by anyone let alone TomKat.
