The only thing I wish PRESIDENT McCAINand VICE PRESDIENT PALIN wil do is cut way back on Medicare and Medicaid.Why should old and young able bodied people get free and reduced medical care? Itis only fair.If workingpeople cannot get some health care because their jobs do not offer it , no one should have it. It would save the govt .a lot of money to cut back on Medicaid and Medicare. Sarah Palin is insane. To be against abortion in cases of rape and incest!!??? The trauma of being raped and abused is not enough, you also have to have the baby as a constant reminder of what happened to you. That is insane and cruel. How will the child feel about the way it was concieved??? People who vote for her and the old creep should be put away for good!!!

so you think an innocent baby should be murdered becasue of another crime? havent you ever heard of 2 wrongs make a right?? why not carry the baby full term? even though it came from tragedy you would still love it, and if you couldnt handle it you could put the baby up for adoption for someone that wants a child so bad but isnt able to have a baby! murder isnt necessarily the answer. ive defintely been pro choice most of my life, but i am realzing what a shame it is to not give someone a chance it life. is an abortion really any diffrent from having a kid and leaving in the street, or having a young child and allowing it to drown? no.

The Republicans knew the Palin famiiy would give their campaign a sense of youthfulness. John Mccain turned 72 recently and would be the oldest president to take office. Reagan was the oldest man elected, at 69, and by the end of his term he was really really losing it.

McCain has suffered malignant melanoma — a dangerous form of skin cancer. Should age and health issues matter? Yes, this is the hardest job in the world. Just look at “before/after” images of presidents and the toll the job takes is obvious.

i don’t have a problem with mccain, but there is no way in hell am i going to stand by having her as a VP and have a potential shot at being the president of the US since we all know mccain might just hit the bucket considering his age. i was actually thinking for voting for him but now that i see his choice for vp, forget it. im voting for obama, incase something were to happen to him, at least ill be in peace with biden taking over. vote wisely guys. i don’t have any respect for a mother who puts her ambitions and work before family. she was a 5 month old son with down syndrome and she wants to be the VP of our country? no family value there.

Everyone is talking about how good her speech is but they really need to give credit to the man who wrote the speech!! what the hell is that about she didn’t write that where would she have the time. And her whole JUNO baby daddy situation is really pathetic she should have educated her kids to put their future first before being interested in boys!! and look at how quickly they got engaged,,,would this be so if he wasn’t being pressed out by the media - this is a relationship that isn’t going to last remember that i called it!!

So she gave a good show - is that what leadership is about?
She must be a good governor. 80% approval rating is not to be sneezed at! She must be a good leader.

The quote that was continually shown on our TVs here was the one about not coming to Washington to answer to the press etc, but to serve the American people.
Sounds great, & obviously scored big points with some people, but if you look at it more deeply, just what does she mean?
Obviously she means just what she said. She’s going to work for the whole country. If they win, of course. Right now she works only for one state.

Is she contemptuous of the press? She’s certainly challenging them!
I don’t think so, but some in the press have judged her before they got to know her. That is unfair! It’s GREAT that she is challenging them! I love women in politics!

A few years ago, I cancelled our TIME subscription, because I’ve had enough of seeing W’s face. If the McCain/Palin team wins, I’ll give TIME a call. Definitely subscribe again, because I’ll want to follow this gutsy woman.

I just hope the press doesn’t crumble in the face of strength like French waiters, but instead remember that it’s their PURPOSE to call both sides to task to keep them honest, to help people understand what they are really standing for in terms of policies etc.

Marta, I agree. Palin asks for privacy, but pimps them out. And this is an issue because of her fundamentalist politics, NOT because of the “left wing” media. Ok, so she supports her teen–whom she knew was pregnant BEFORE thrusting her and that poor boy into the nat’l spotlight–but tries to force no sex education for our own kids down our throats? Unbelieveable, and that’s just the tip of the hypocritical iceberg… Too appalled to say anything else, except respond to the reader who praised her as a “Firecracker.° That’s an Annie Oakley characteristic, not one you want a (72 yr old) heartbeat away from the red button. Enough cowfolk in the White House already.

No one likes war but America’s presence in Iraq is to stablize several issues that the American economy depends on.
If you remember the Gulf War years ago and the aftermath of it. But all of that was thrown out of the window when your Bill Clinton was in office for 8 years. George Bush was left with many holes in budget resulted from Bill’s 8 years of not earning any ” income” for America. George Bush has tried to recover the deficits but his way of doing it as not as smooth and clever as Donald Reagan. That is why American people are losing interest in him. George Bush has applied the same foreign policy as much as what has been written in American history, doing exactly what is needed. However, George Bush lacks communication skills and he is not a good public speaker.

So there is a need for the Republican to be in the White House another 4 years to resolve some unbending issues.

#29: Actually, his father was already married to another woman when he married his mother. She was also three months pregnant….which meant she did have pre-marital sex as well as an adulterous affair since he was a Muslim. That’s according to their law.

I didn’t know who they were until a few days ago as i am in the uk so i haven’t really been following who’s running for president.
Least she’ll be 18 when she has her baby and hopefully finished school unlike some young mum’s.
