In the race for ratings, John McCain has beat Barack Obama for viewership during their respective convention speeches.
According to Nielsen, McCain drew 38.9 million viewers for his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention while Obama only drew 38.4 million viewers for his acceptance speech. 38.9 million viewers ranks as the highest rated convention in history.
In related news, Oprah Winfrey has stated that she is more than willing to interview Sarah Palin after the campaign is over.
“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue,” Oprah says. “There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Now i am certain of the candidate who most speaks to my main issues; cost of fuel, remembering we are volunerable to terrorists attacks (9/11), economy and lack of jobs, health insurance and/or lower healthcare costs for all. This year i intend to vote for the Mavericks; the two who will buck party to “serve the people” and have done so through out their careers. This is one democrat who will vote Republican, mostly because i care about our nation Under God.

Since then we have not been below $3.25 a gallon. The Republicans have been in control for 20 years and what have they done, absolutely nothing.

We have are trillions of dollars in debt, we pretty much are owned by China & Saudi, they allow fraudalent loan packages to be sold to outside investors which therefore caused the mortgage crises, they allowed big oil Exxon/Mobile etc. to break in record profits off the back of the working class with no questions (but pretended to ask questions once the American people complained but it did no good), allowed big companies to take huge tax breaks but yet these companies shipped jobs overseas, took away or cut back on their workers medical insurance, as prices went up but cost lowered for corporate America they cut back on giving raises to the working class but the CEO’s always received multi-million dollar bonuses along with their 6-7 figure salaries and I won’t even go into the Iraq war and the recent promise from your Republican president of $1 billion dollars to Georgia. So, yes thank you for reminding me way more so I need to rally for Obama to many others why we do need real change! Anybody outside of a Republican is change.

That’s true. College kids are so fanatic about Obama and for all the wrong reasons (he looks cool in shades, isn’t he a snappy dresser? and Ben Afleck likes him!). Surely you know that there is always an opposite, you know, up and down, hot and cold, man and woman, life and death, etc.
There is also always an opposing view. Those for gun control, those against, those who are pro-life and those who are pro-choice, etc.
You can argue forever, and not agree. Both sides think the opponents are bad. Palin is pro-life. That doesn’t make her bad, but she is also no saint. She is just pro-life.
In fact, when some speaker at a McCain rally used Barack’s middle name McCain denounced the man and said he is not welcome in his campaign.

Seriously people, I watched both of the speeches and i’m sorry but that little lady belongs at home taking care of her family. Her baby is about to have a baby, she has a 6 month old baby of her own and a bunch of other kids. I respect her intentions but if she wants to bring about change, she should continue doing it in her little Alaskan town or become a lobbyist or something. She is not fit for the White House. Gosh, can you imagine, God forbid something happens to McCain, that woman having negotiations in the Middle East on behalf of America. I am not American but I can see that the only solution for America is to have McCain for the next president.
1. Consumer confidence : the downturn of the economy works in cycle. Most of jobs have been lost due to offshore production, globalization.
2. Building trust in World Alliance: Clinton did nothing in his years in his role of building any relationship with any country really. All he did was playing deaf ears to whatever was going around the world. He let China do whatever they want and now China surpasses America in global market. He let those who are against America multiply in number, growing cells, pawns, claws into those giants.
3. If Americans want to mesmorize the ” wonderful years” with Bill Clinton then you must remember what exactly brought the foundation and base for ” wonderful time ” in order for Bill Clinton to be sitting, eating and spending in 8 years long. It had been the Republican
party that made ” income” and all that surplus from the Gulf War for Bill to be enjoy his leisure time without doing anything.
So when Bill left the White House for Junior Bush, there were holes of budget deficits everywhere. George Bush has been doing exactly what has been needed for America to recover debts and power. He applies the same strategy that was written since the establishment of the White House. However, he is not a smooth guy. He is not good with speeches and does not have that charisma and right image.
4. Creating more jobs.
When the current issue is resolved then you will see jobs. America can’t compete with China in goods and services jobs sector and America knows that. America needs that flow of money coming from another different sector and the White House people know where exactly it is. So until the issue is resolved then you will see jobs.
How and where you think Obama will bring jobs to you when your nation is in debt?? Where you can produce goods and services domestically with the same labor cost as in China? You think the elites in Hollywood who support the Democrats will split their millions to help your nation to create jobs for common people? Obama is good on the stage but he can’t and never will do to bring you back to the ” wonderful years”. Where on earth he can find the budget to do that? From what source of income?
4. National security ” The Democrats can play deaf ears like Clinton did in order to have security at the same time your nation can watch many more emerging giants coming in different directions and you will be like a turtle with a bunch of bunnies in a race.
American should be thankful for the Republicans like Reagan who ended the cold war, brought down the Berlin wall, and communist giant Russia.
Perhaps, America has run out of talents and so the choice of presidency is limited. BUT, if you are shortsighted and only want to satisfy your constant needs you will make a mistake. You have to be united, patient.
Patience is the key.
Gosh, this year’s election campaign has to be the most tedious in history. Wish we can be done with this and start voting already. 2 more months to go, I can’t take it anymore. Damn politics!

but please get this straight; the white house and presidency does not automatically belong to obama because he is black. he has to earn the right to be president and the problem is that for many people he has not. what these people want is a president with many years of experience which obama does not have. the idea that a junior senator should lead this country is impossible for them to consider.
equally as important is that obama has no military experience. whether you like it or not; many veterans who fought in america’s wars and some of those who serve in our military today do not see obama as commander in chief. (that’s what the president is by the way )i should know my brother is an aviator on board an aircraft carrier.
these two groups i mentioned make up a large voting block. and i can tell you right now that my father and uncles who fought in both WW 2 and korea will not vote for obama; not because he is black but because in their minds he does not have the proven ability to lead.

It seems to me not all American people know the history of their nation. I advice you open the history book and read page by page about the birth of your nation, the revolutions, the White House and what made you the most powerful and rich country in the world.
The past few years have been tough for America and everyone starts to forget all the past and history.

You open your history book for the White House and do a review.
If you want to have a better economy, ask yourself what you are specialized in and what you are good at and where and which market you can make the most from. From what resources ????
So ask yourself if Obama can find another alternative ways for your nation to do to make living. So he wants to quit this current position, in which your nation has been in then where can he go to find that most import resource? Obviously he can’t and never dare to switch to goods and services sector in order to make income.
You ask him to offer you tax cut while the government is in debt and the government spending budget is tight?
He talks a lot but the solutions he offers your nation is a dead end.
He went to Europe to socialize with the European youth but what can he get from the Europe to bring back to your nation? The European countries have oil, energy sources?
All he does is to show off and perform on the stage to make himself likable but he does not have anything at all to offer your nation.
The Republican party is the choice for you to continue the strengh and power for America. You need that party but with a different president, a different representative from the party.

40 million saw Sarah Palin. Oprah is afraid of Palin. Oprah has always said that women can accomplish anything they want in life. Sarah Palin accomplished something huge and Oprah refuses to interview her. Oprah is a hyprocrite.

Who names their son Obama? Horrible name, never heard of it in my life. Now that’s an embarrassment. Then, to make it worse, he has a muslim middle name, Hussein. So, pleeease leave Palin’s children alone.

Sarah Palin’s children have unusual names. Quite nice. I read that Chelsea is called after a song (a name in a popular song at the time. Also quite nice and unusual.
We the Canadians think John McCain did great on his debate he is a strong leader, we believe he is well diversed and has the experience to run the Country, on the other hand Barack Obama is full of hot air and he talks with no emotion like a robot if that is what the U.S. wants elect him he is very inexperienced and just a good talker he did go to law school and it shows. If John McCain isn’t elected we the Canadians would love to have him for Prime Minister of Canada. Canada sold Alaska for 1 dollar we would like it back since you think Alaska is of no importance to the U.S. along with Sarah Palin who you constantly make fun of, shame on the us you can’t see the forest before the trees you got a real MAVERICK and don’t even see it too bad for the U.S. You earned the name Yankees didn’t you

i believe that mccain-palin would be the best choice. he does not “parrot” “stupid” bush. and so what if he does!?! he won the last election, obviously the country liked bush then, why not now? because CLINTON ruined our economy, and bush is getting the short end here.
considering what happened to our country (you know that 9/11 thing when our country was ATTACKED) i believe bush has done a pretty good job being our president. are we in iraq longer than we need to be? maybe. but senator obama’s plan to bring them back within 60 days just isn’t possible. why? because it takes the average soldier 1.5 weeks to get back to the states. JUST THE STATES FOLKS! granted a military plane can probably hold more than your average 747, but we have a limited amount of planes on hand to bring them back.
just saying mccain has a more realistic plan for bringing them home, and personally, i think the war in Iraq will never end, and bahgdad will be a permanent post.
