John McCain Beats Barack Obama

In the race for ratings, John McCain has beat Barack Obama for viewership during their respective convention speeches.

According to Nielsen, McCain drew 38.9 million viewers for his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention while Obama only drew 38.4 million viewers for his acceptance speech. 38.9 million viewers ranks as the highest rated convention in history.

In related news, Oprah Winfrey has stated that she is more than willing to interview Sarah Palin after the campaign is over.

“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue,” Oprah says. “There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Now onto the race for the White House!

“Republicans have been in control for 20 years and what have they done, absolutely nothing”

The Republican Congress worked with Bill Clinton to pass very good Welfare Reform.

They passed with Clinton the Iraq Liberation Act to support democracy in Iraq.

These are just to name a few off the top of my head.

As long as he doesn’t beat him in the election, I’m good.

38.9 vs. 38.4 is hardly an enormous difference, anyway–give me a break.

Polls say that Obama followers tend to be more educated than MCCain supporters. Going by the comments, I’d say that’s true.

Both figures are believed to be the No. 1 and No. 2 most-watched convention speeches of all time; neither counts PBS or C-Span, which could add another 3 million to the totals.

YAY MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jared I wonder about you tell the truth.

Here is the rest of the article from Daily News New York.

Going by your comment I’d say my statement that Obama supporters seem to lack grace and class is true too.

Disparaging someone with such glibness says more about you than anything else. But being so smart you would know that.

Palin shouldn’t give oprah the time of day. Obama is the dumb one not choosing Hillary, blame him for picking Biden.

McCain- Palin the best. Now I am safe in my own country. I have these two to save me from foreign invasion (including candidates who want to own my country).

Sheryl oh my I feel for you….wounded are you? You are such a great example yourself of “grace and class.” Really, Truly, you inspire me with your infantile comments and passive aggressive attacks on Obama.

The test will at the election. That is the number that counts. Here’s to hoping you Republicans won’t pull the same kind of caper as in the Florida 2000 election. Bush cheated. Gore won.

McCain-Bush Bush-McCAin, McCAin-Bush, Bush-McCAin, McCain-Bush. I can’t tell the difference anymore. Better yet, is there one?

sheryl is a troll.

WOOO! GO JOHN MCCAIN!

#5…are you kidding? Do you watch CNN and MSNBC…it’s all about McCain/Palin!!!!

Sarah Palin did exactly what McCain wanted, bring him in the spotlight….This is why he didnt care about vetting her properly he knew Americans would jump at her personal story and could care less about her overall qualifications!!

I'm awake @ 09/05/2008 at 6:58 pm

I am awake and feeling safe to be in good ole USA. Sarah and John will protect us from terrorists (like you know who you are voting).

And Obama had the 6 million dollar area performance that Hollywood set up for him, and that beautiful plastic “Greek Temple ” and Oraph crying her eye lashes off, and he add all those b- list actors screaming ‘ “hope” and “change” and rappers are us, doing song’s to the ‘ ONE’ , a didn’t know if they were referring to him or all of his accomplishments.

Have been a democrat but now I am voting for SARAH and JOHN..
I admire this woman MY SARAH, and the only candidate who really worked for his country our hero JOHN MCCAIN.

Another bonus we will have a beautiful FIRST LADY, smart and compassionate. LOVE THESE TWO.

McCain- Palin 2008!

pollyanna @ 09/05/2008 at 7:11 pm

The Republicans represent too much personal drama and focus on their personal issues no attention to hard core American issues. The race is all about them and nothing about the American people. Is this some kind of hollywood preview for the Dallas remake? We need a leader that can stay focused on everyone, not just their own self absorbed world. Obama|Biden America’s Dream Team!

“passive aggressive attacks on Obama.”

A troll for truth. Please name where I’m not telling the truth here:

NO leadership role in government local, state or federal
NO leadership in business
NO leadership in the military
NO organizations he founded or managed.
NO law firm partnerships.
NO important cases tried as a lawyer
NO work of legal scholarship has ever been published

NObama, get Barack to us later when you’ve done something other than run a campaign

McCain-Palin 2008. All mothers love John and Sarah. I love Piper too. She knows how to take care of Trig.

MCCAIN is the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MCCAIN & PALIN 2008
