John McCain Beats Barack Obama

John McCain Beats Barack Obama

In the race for ratings, John McCain has beat Barack Obama for viewership during their respective convention speeches.

According to Nielsen, McCain drew 38.9 million viewers for his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention while Obama only drew 38.4 million viewers for his acceptance speech. 38.9 million viewers ranks as the highest rated convention in history.

In related news, Oprah Winfrey has stated that she is more than willing to interview Sarah Palin after the campaign is over.

“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue,” Oprah says. “There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Now onto the race for the White House!

“Here’s to hoping you Republicans won’t pull the same kind of caper as in the Florida 2000 election.”

Aeon why don’t you look into Barack Obama’s community organizer stint with ACORN and their current effort to sign up new voters.

ACORN is a group that has illegally used taxpayer funds for political gain, a 1 million dollare embezzlement scheme charges against it and falsify voter registration cards with dead people or bribes of gift cards & gas cards.

So at least when you vote for “The One” you’ll know why.

I’m glad McCain scored big on ratings because his speech was so bad and horrible I couldn’t image anybody voting for him. All the pundits agreed his speech was lacking. Plus, he looked so creepy. It bad when your VP outshines you.

Republican for Obama @ 09/05/2008 at 7:33 pm

McCain voted with Bush 91% of the time. How is that change? As a Republican, Bush and McCain have embarrassed our party. Palin, love her dear, but she is not the one running for President. And if she is all about cleaning up Washington, then she will start with her running mate who has been in Washington for 26 years. Plus, why is his campaign run by lobbyist?

McCain- Palin

They are like our own family. You feel secured to have them both in the White House. They are both experienced. We do not have the time and money to have someone who will still have to undergo on-the-job training at the White House.
If we have another 911 attack he will have to call John McCain to solve the problem. He might not know where the red phone is cause he is still learning how to push the button. Meantime the country will have been attacked by the terrorists and thousands will be dead already Do not forget 911 when you vote. Feel safe in your choice.

Who was President during 9/11. @ 09/05/2008 at 7:35 pm

Who was President during 9/11? Who was mayor during both attacks on the World Trade Center? Wow. They both where Republicans.

Doesn’t anyone ask why should we vote for Obama what has he done. First he’s barely American half American spent his childhood years in Indonesia , a Islamic country . Don’t you want a President who feels American to his/her bones. Second in the history of the Presidency, we have either elected a person in the congress/ senate who has been in Washington a least 10 years, we have elected mostly Governor’s especially in the last 40 years and some Mayors and elected military men, mostly a combination of the 4 with men who have gone to politics either from military careers or business careers, we have never elected a first term junior senator who was 2 years in his term before he began running for President, and he has NONE of the other accomplishments no military, no business, never run a town, city, state and too top all that he came up through same people who would be considered not America’s friends with any other candidate. I sorry but if you take away the hype from the beginning, the Oprah’s, the hope and change, what do you have: a young man who hasn’t done much and who has some questionable associations telling us he wants to lead America in a world were war is a brutal asymmetrical warfare, were America will be challenged on so many fronts in the next 4 years, let’s give the job to the ‘ community organizer”.

did anyone else go to sleep during the speech

mIKEgIVENS @ 09/05/2008 at 7:49 pm

Pallin Pallin Pallin, you need to be at home worrying about your kids. I will never trust a women who can’t handle something simple as being a mother. She has failed at that job. THE WORLD’S VIEW WITH PALLIN IN OFFICE…. PWT

Boo!!!! =P

let's be real! @ 09/05/2008 at 7:53 pm

Seriously people, I watched both of the speeches and i’m sorry but that little lady belongs at home taking care of her family. Her baby is about to have a baby, she has a 6 month old baby of her own and a bunch of other kids. I respect her intentions but if she wants to bring about change, she should continue doing it in her little Alaskan town or become a lobbyist or something. She is not fit for the White House. Gosh, can you imagine, God forbid something happens to McCain, that woman having negotiations in the Middle East on behalf of America. Vice president of the US is a demanding job and I don’t think she’s fit for it. Her story is appealing but we need to be realistic.

“McCain voted with Bush 91% of the time”

As a Republican then you also know how many times he pissed off the GOP when he didn’t vote with them.

Barack Obama has never cast a vote that wasn’t down party lines….ever. So much for his utopian bi-partisanship.

There is an old adage, the best way to judge what a person will do in the future is what they’ve done in the past.

Based soley on his past votes, I don’t believe him when he says he will reach across party lines.

BTW, Bill Clinton was POTUS in 1993 (the first WTC attack).

By the time Obama hit his early 40’s he wrote two memoirs about his life, and the biggest thing he had going was that he was a in the Illinois state senate and he was married with kids…… you don’t have to ask what he thinks about himself.

Benny mars @ 09/05/2008 at 7:58 pm

Oprah is a liar. Her new season will cover an episode of Obama at Denver.

somehow…I just find that hard to believe. they didn’t even fill the darn convention hall. So yeah…I’m thinking someone is just padding numbers.

We all know Oprah only likes her folk!!!!!!!!!!

That speech was pathetic and boring…. OBAMA/BIDEN O8…. They said he couldn’t beat Hillary, but we saw what happened.

Mikegivens. at least spell the Governor’s name right if your going to write it a dozen times and post , Governor P A L I N , get use to it because she’s going to be America’s next Vice President.

i’m sad to see that probably USA will vote for McCain, they will never change…
thank God i live in another country

Oprah doesn’t want her on the show because knows her audience would fall in love with Sara, Oraph with their stupid bias and the rest of Hollywood forgets who brought them were they are, fat pig I hope people stop watching her show that’s why I don’t go on Perez and sites that are using celebrity gossip to manipulate you with propaganda from the democrats and liberals,

no osama in the white house @ 09/05/2008 at 8:14 pm

Sorry, but it’s the White House not the Black House.
Sorry, but no one with the middle name Hussein can be President of the United States.
Are you people crazy?

Screw Obama, dumb goatherd from some crap country that lives in the middle ages, go become President of Kenya., I heard it’s easier to buy elections there,

I love watching Oprah. But because she has chosen Obama, she won’t be able to have Palin on her show until the campaign is over. That’s what happens when you put your finger into politics, Oprah. Now you have to be one-sided!!!

but can he rap? @ 09/05/2008 at 8:22 pm

Good question

you know me @ 09/05/2008 at 8:26 pm

it amazes me that some here call themselves educated but from the same mouth, spout crap about this Palin woman being qualified. All you so called McCain supporters get real! If this woman were anything but a “White Alaskan , animal killing, money grubbing (try 230 million bucks still NOT returned for that ‘Bridge… idea) lax parenting republican. You all would have been ALL over her A$$!!! if this was Michelle Obama or even Hillary Clinton you would have crucified her.

News for you folks, there are pics out there on the net of your precious Palin I even sent them to a few sites and they are far from flattering and they D>A>M>N> sure DO NOT jive with the lies that fall from her lips. Her under age daughter is seen with alcohol in her hands constantly in the pics as well! This woman WAS NOT VETTED! WAKE UP, if McCain were to croak while in office this woman would doom us! She just got a freaking passport 2 YEARS AGO! What foreign relations knowledge does she really have..compared to Biden when she couldn’t even leave the freaking country? HELLO!!! NONE!!! she’s a hockey mom who failed at a small business then managed to take a town population 9K into debt. (how does one do that exactly?) and you want her to run a country with the population of around 304,674,691 people. Yeah sure! The republicans can do nothing but cause WAR, UNEMPLOYMENT and massive DEBT.

Condilezza Rice would have been a much better pick. She’s far from my favorite person but we KNOW she’s QUALIFIED. and any reason this old man didn’t pick from the actual candidates that were qualified? he chose this contradicting shrew of a woman because his generation seems to believe woman think with their eyes and emotions instead fo their brains, he didn’t even try to find a stronger female candidate because then he’d have to deal with her actual intelligence. You females out there screaming McCain’s name in bliss better wake up. This man and his pitbullish “Hockey Mom” are intent on taking away your rights and if you think these socalled “chrisitans” are going to just stop at your right “To Choose” you’re soooo wrong. She offered her daughter the right to choose life but wants to remove the choice from others. hmmmm…interesting don’t you think.

For entertainment and knowledge perhaps you should check out Jon Stewarts 9/2 show: He was more than happy to show these idiots constantly contradicting themselves. Go ahead watch it, I dare you.

http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episodes/index.jhtml?episodeId=184093

if you haven’t seen the pics post a request and I’ll send them to you.

I love how all the republican’s always use those scare tactics as though we all are going to believe them. That’s the only thing they can use. We’re not falling for it again. F McCain and his VP (who outshines him). I guess on the Republican side, it does take a women to do a man’s job.

OBAMA/BIDEN.= USA
