John McCain Beats Barack Obama

John McCain Beats Barack Obama

In the race for ratings, John McCain has beat Barack Obama for viewership during their respective convention speeches.

According to Nielsen, McCain drew 38.9 million viewers for his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention while Obama only drew 38.4 million viewers for his acceptance speech. 38.9 million viewers ranks as the highest rated convention in history.

In related news, Oprah Winfrey has stated that she is more than willing to interview Sarah Palin after the campaign is over.

“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue,” Oprah says. “There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Now onto the race for the White House!

Gosh, this year’s election campaign has to be the most tedious in history. Wish we can be done with this and start voting already. 2 more months to go, I can’t take it anymore. Damn politics!

good for them @ 09/05/2008 at 11:09 pm

Obama tries hard to blend in the pop culture of youth but doubtedly he can do anything much to save America.
Enough said, you Americans figure out what to do for the sake of your country.
I don’t think you want a president with history of drug dealings to be written in American history book.

Country first, America needs to get back on track!!! MCCAIN is the ONE!!!! He has fought and proven his love for our country!!!!!!!!!!! McCain & Palin, all the way to the White House!!!!!!

remember da truth @ 09/05/2008 at 11:23 pm

#30 Hmmmm

Let’s not forget that Bush had a Republican House AND Senate too. All this crap about taxes and spending and not getting anything done that they think the Dems will do is to hide the fact that that’s exactly what THEY did — nothing but run the country into the ground and overspend o the way there while rewarding the rich and ******** the middle class.

They’ve had it all their own way for eight years and this is what they did with it?

Kick all Republicans out. And don’t let the ones in who still can’t tell the truth to save their a**es!!

Maybe you want to reverse that statement about spending and overspending.
Junior Bush took presidency after Bill Clinton, who had left him holes in budget everywhere. Bill Clinton was the one to be blamed because he spent all in his 8 years presidency. Bill Clinton had been left with so much money which the Repulican got for your nation from the 90s since Senior Bush and Reagan.
I am an outsider looking in and I can see that and you are American and you don’t see anything?

I wasn’t born in US but I choose to live here because of the values I believe in and high level of tolerance I experienced.
With idiots like McCain and Palin I feel like I’m back “home”.
And that’s not a good feeling. GO OBAMA!!

The ONLY REASON McMothballs got higher ratings, if that’s true, is because so many democrats wanted a good laugh at Palin. It’s like slowing down to look at a car wreck.

Daisy, if your not American, why do you feel they need to name call Americans !!! Vote in your country, that’s if women evewn have rights there, like here in the U.S.A. Proud Americans will vote for McCain, he is a true hero and political figure, if you don’t like him or Palin fine, but don’t berate them!!!

McCain-Palin08 @ 09/06/2008 at 1:17 am

Go McCain-Palin, we need a STRONG America and with your leadership I know America will be SAFE.

you’re all idiots if you want 4 more years of the same crap we’ve been through the past 8 years. Read up, they are stil going to stick to the same policies as Bush. Maverick my ass. They are going to give permanent tax breaks to rich oil companies and make the working class suffer. You people are so stupid to play into their phony scare tactics when they haven’t even offered any policies or issues that will take us in a new direction, Obama has! Now if McCain wins it just shows how many dumbasses we have in America, that you reelected Bush, have witnessed how much he’s screwed up our country since the republicans have taken office and are willing to allow 4 more years of the same, simply because you probably liked Palin’s speech (written by Bush’s speech writer by the way!) and buy into McCain’s war hero act from the same party that tore John Kerry apart for even hinting at his own military record last election.

Newsflsh: McCain got more ratings than Obama because republicans are so closed minded they wouldn’t even bother viewing Obama’s speech, Democrats however wanted to see what this fool had to say since all he does is diss Obama and talk about his war record in place of discussing real issues that will take our country in a different direction. Trying to create this maverick image against Washington when he is the one that voted with Washington on all issues. He’s part of the problem! And his campaign is run by lobbyists! They want to separate themselves from Bush in the public image because they know how everyone hates him, yet Bush’s speech writer was the writer of Palin’s whole speech! This is just a joke to me. But some americans are so stupid they are easily fooled by their phony tactics and will drive us through 4 more years of hell.

mcslim # 112 mcains teeth really? im glad thats an issue with you & if your really want to go by looks pls look at obamas dumbo ears and muslim looking face,
& ob #109 thats exactly what i said but opposite, pls looks at the facts…democrats dont care what republicans say most of the republicans i know watch both sides & EVERY democrat wont have anythign to do with republicans so dont get it twisted when democrats are the nutjobs in love with themselves that wont watch anything thats not whiny & democratic

I’ve heard about Hillary Clinton… Obama is an hypocrite!

Go Palin!

on once again are u kidding nobody watched obamas speech? i did & it was boring as hell & over hyped as usual. mccains campaign is run by lobbyists? theonly reason obama is anyting is because of oprah & all the actors that support him give me a break hes done nothign for this country and will do nothing, & your only listebneing to obamas rep if your saying bushs speech writer was sarah palins blah blah blah your all just scared shitless because mccain got more views and 37% - 47% actually think sarah palin would do better at presdient then barack ahaah all you little democrats get over yourself watch republican debates and stop being crazy about that pschyo liberal racist prick obama =)

eddie jones @ 09/06/2008 at 4:28 am

it’s amusing that someone as unqualified to be vice president as palin is (by obamas standards) is far more qualified then he is, and he’s running for president!

KK says.......... @ 09/06/2008 at 5:51 am

LIES!!!!!

This is what makes me sick about America.

Its ok for the 17 yr old daughter of a politician to get pregnant, despite not being married, despite being underage and despite the fact im pretty sure the age of consent is 18 in most states of America.

But its then spun around to seem like a good and suddenly its helping her mother win votes of compassion Mcain!! All this while Britney spears sister gets pregnant underage and all hell breaks loose and shes shunned and called names and cursed.

The only difference is one family has LOTS of money and connections and lives in a big house. I dont personally have issues with teenagers being mothers, because its their choice to have sex at that age, but this is so hypercritical.

I’ve actually got more respect for Britney’s sisters, because atleast she’s going to have to struggle to raise her child while this other girl is going to have mothers money to help her out.

And yet they then have the nerve to try and put a bad image of the competition by saying hes inexperienced blah blah blah blah blah!!!

Its amazing how Americans can be SOOo judgemnt when it suits them, and yet they dont judge this women for her daughter gettng pregnant?

I wouldnt be surprised if the girl wanted to abort the kid, but her mother wont let her because “it would be bad for image”.

The Republican convention was a big pile of shiiit. Boring, uncomfortable and offering us nothing more than what the Republicans have already given America. The Republican party scares me! They suck! Obama all the way!

Out sider @ 09/06/2008 at 9:18 am

i think she does not address the issues because they will be dealt with in the debate. that way people can’t say that are changing her views on issues affecting the US. I am not from the US but i will rather vote who can handle running a country than vote to make history.

I see all of the fearful, white, racist ******** are coming out of the woodwork now. No doubt on a high from that pitiful Klan meeting on TV this week that they call a convention? Well, I guess Matt Drudge and his so called Report will do that to ya, huh?

You all are so sickening. And racist as hell. “Uppity?” That’s the word they used in the south during the Civil Rights Movement and you all feel some kind of comarderie now to throw that word around now. Guess there’s really no racial progress in this country after all. As soon as someone black exercises their right to do or not to do something and you don’t like it, then you want to lynch them, huh?

You KKK trolls seem to have found some sort of a savior in that trailer park trash Palin. Enjoy it while it lasts. I can’t wait to see your faces when we all end up getting a black man as president in Novemeber. Fear that, a$$holes !!

The Democrats are truly worried about the Palin factor. She has energized the conservative base not since Reagan. Even my true blue Democrat state of New York recent polls has McCain gaining on Obama. Obama should really be killing McCain in these nationwide polls but McCain has been gaining and now with Palin, the quiet Rush Lambaugh fanatics are estactic. Come Novemeber, the polls are going to be skewed when these conservative groups come out.. McCain is second fiddle to Palin right now because crowds are flocking to get a glimpse of her during their tour stops. You see women bringing their daughters, cheering Palin on and touting her as the next president for 2012.

obama fan, whrer not the white racists, obama is the racist AGAINST white ppl, im all for a black president i dont care but i would never be for a black president as crazy, inexperienced, unqualified, self aborbed and just as nuts as obama. just like what rush limbaough said, obama thinks every attack is personal, everything is abou him his campaign is about him, he thinks hes the messiah for christ sakes, all you ignorant democrats, republicans, independents, blacks whites will be sorry idf that man wins the election & this country goes even more to hell than it is. & back on the racist thing, dont try to say weer all racist for not voting for him, its 96% of black ppl are voting obama hmmm and were racist, John Mccain may be a republican but he is not bush & i would much rather trust this country to someone who is qualified, known for going against ppl, strong, he fought for this country, and will do anything to keep US safe, then a self obsessed senator who only made it because of oprah getting him there along with all the other celebrities.

McCain For President @ 09/06/2008 at 12:30 pm

Way to say it Go Palin!! Blacks can say they want Obama because he’s black, but god forbid we vote for McCain if we are White, hypocritical wouldn’t you say!!! McCain & Palin, For America and all its people!!!
