Britney Spears wears Custom Versace dress, H Stern Jewels and Versace shoes as she receives the award for Best Female Video ‘Piece of Me’ at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Brit-Brit had a short comedy sketch with Jonah Hill (Superbad) before walking out to the stage to introduce the show.
As the 26-year-old singer walked onto the stage, she received a standing ovation! During her acceptance speech, she thanked God and her two sons.

Britney looked happy and so excited to win this award…I loved her dress and hair, but the only gripe I have about any of them, is their Thanking GOD, first thing………..GOD, did not make them win anything, and most of the people or winners probably have NOT set foot in a church or read a bible in years, if at all…..Considering the life style some of them lead, it wouldn’t hurt…….It makes them silly looking to stand up and say, ” OH, I want to thank God.”………..Just thank the people around you and your family, THEN move on !!!!

She looks better but she still comes across as desperate or trying to hard. Still think she needs to stay low profile.
