Fashion Faceoff: Atelier Versace Dress
Charlize Theron was picture perfect in her beaded Atelier Versace column gown with spiderweb-effect at the Venice Film Festival. The 33-year-old Oscar-winning actress finished off her look with sparkling Bulgari diamonds.
Britney Spears was the picture of glamour in her shortened version of the same Atelier Versace dress at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. The 26-year-old comeback pop princess finished off her look with H. Stern jewels and Versace shoes.
Who wore it best — CHARLIZE THERON or BRITNEY SPEARS?

I agree, i also remember charlize’s diamond oscar dress 2004 who had been copyed by katherine heigl at the grammys.
This was such a pity show for Britney! We all know she did NOT deserve those 3 awards!!! Shame on MTV!!! Even Perez Hilton said he voted for her because he feels sorry for her…Shame on MTV! The hsow should be banned in 2009!

This isn’t the shortened version of he same dress, it’s a different dress! And blondes shouldn’t be wearing this non-colour, it makes them look bland.
So, neither Charlize nor Britney, though Charlize would always win against Britney when it comes to looks.
Charlize ofcourse she is a classic classy beauty unlike Britney. Britney Spears is not and I think all the pity awards and sympathy comments are lame. Britney is not on the level of beauty of Charlize not even close.
Britney looks manly and like a drag queen and cheap and tacky, now Charlize Theron looks like a combination of Grace Kelly, Lana Turner and Ava Gardner. She is in that class not Britney. There’s just no comparison. She is class and beauty on a level that Britney could never be.
I think it’s lame how people are showing so much pity towards Britney just because she’s a self indulgent , bratty, drug addict trashy bad mother and you want to act like she ever was great. She was never a great talent people! People Charlize Theron has been through MUCh worse than Britney Spears. She saw people shot before her eyes when she was a little girl, her father was killed in self defense right in front of her when she was a kid, and look at her NOW! She made something of herself and she is one strong woman to carry herself so well and with some class and dignity unlike Spears. When you’ve been through the hell that she has bene through it makes the troubles these drug addict, attention seeking hollywood brats have like Britney Spears and LIndsay Lohan look so lame

Charlize Theron is obviosly more elegant, and she looked glamurous and sophisticated in the venice film festivall,,,she glowed in her dress and she is simply stunning…
but on the other side,,britney looked fun, and beautiful and flirty in her custom made dress,,i think this was the dress for what i call “HER NIGHT”,, she looked fantastic and i am soooooooooo happy for her comeback,,, i cant wait for her to be the big star she was,,, I ADORE you britney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
