The Jonas Brothers - MTV VMAs 2008
The Jonas Brothers (Kevin, Joe (in Dolce & Gabbana) and Nick) arrive at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday.
English comedian Russell Brand will host the event while Britney Spears will be opening up the night with a surprise performance. Kaba Modern and Fanny Pak of America’s Best Dance Crew will battle it out to determine who will present the Best Dancing in a Video award.

Anna - they performed better than britney ever did on the VMAs? I bet you’re too young to even had watched any of her perfomances. She’s an entertainer. She has always had the best performances; She dances, She gives the crowd what they want. They sat on a stoop and sang. Oh that’s much better than britney dancing for 3 minutes straight and giving it her all, everytime she performed she always brought it. You try and sing while dancing at the same time. Her performances for I’m a slave 4 U, oops i did it again, etc. All great.
They looked great as always and their performance was amazing. that host whatever his name is… he went too far. he made himself look so stupid. I hate that guy and what is he doing, he’s not even famous.

They are so friggin over-rated it’s not even funny. It’s sad how any teenager in the world can be put on stage and thousands of teenagers will go insane and become instantly in love with them. Their song was pitiful, had no hook, nothing to dance to, one of them couldn’t even keep beat with a tamborine.

The Jonas Brothers did a great job. If they had to lose to someone I’m glad it was Britney as she has made some major adjustments to her life this year. I still think they should have won video of the year as that video was much better than Britney’s but oh well there is always next year……

Russell Brand is a comedian - and a very fun one at that, however he crossed a few too many lines last night and his constant digs at the jonas brothers really got to everyone!!! However he didn’t just have it out for these guys - which i guess we should be thankful for!! - he also spoke completely innapropriately about politics (bush is a redneck cowboy), america in general and overall came off (the way he had planned too) as a know nothing arrogant revolting twit.
