thank goodness someone said something. I had never heard of Russell Brand before the VMAs, and he left a horrible first impression. Just because the Jonas Brothers are 10 times more famous than you will ever be (Even in the UK), doesnt mean you get to bash them for religious beliefs. I cant even believe they let him say that…You know you are an idiot when Paris Hilton disagrees with you.

Russell Brand screwed up the whole show and I am very disapointed MTV let their host use the awards show as a political advertisement, and they let him make fun of people that were performing, presenting, and accepting awards at the very same show..

Also, ye, Rusell was ripping the p*iss outta a the JoBros but people need to grow some skin - he was blates just doing it for a laugh. And I agree with GossipGirl, the rings ARE slightly retarded because its like what, you need a ring to tell you not to do it, why don’t you just not do it fullstop? At the end of the day, a rings got nothing to do with it, it doesn’t seal off your sexual organs, it’s up to the individual to excercise control.

I admire her for standing up for what she believes in but I don’t think that people who have sex are ******. I understand that he was just trying to be funny and as a host it’s his job to “shock.” But she should know better than to take anything like that seriously. She should have laugh it off or she should have re-worded what she said so that it didn’t sound like she thought that she was better than people who have sex cause that’s what it sounded like to me.

Good for her. She sounded nervous and that was obviously unscripted. I don’t think she meant to imply that not wearing one makes you a ****. Her wording could have been better - but I have to give her a LOT of credit for going up against someone as slick and slimy as Russell Brand.

Oh and btw: If anyone is offended by Jordin’s comment, then you must be a ****. I mean, I’m ure until marriage, but I don’t have a ring. I’m not offended though because I know for a fact that I’m not a sl*t. If you get mad, then you must sleep around a lot or the comment wouldn’t even bother you…

Calling all others who don’t wear a purity ring a **** is an amazingly diplomatic statement.

I won’t bother to argue her “statement” because it’s obvious her lack of ability to form a sentence that actually states her thoughts is so lacking that it’s laughable. Ergo, she has no clue what came out of her mouth and it probably took several people to explain her ENORMOUS gaffe.

Russel Brand was at least performing a comedy routine.

Caveat: most TMZ readers, see above, don’t recognize her enormous gaffe either, so it’s fair to assume, they also won’t understand my comment.

i think that its perfectly fine.
and she should stand up for herself, just becuase the jonas brothers are more known for having purity rings. it doesnt mean their the only people that should be made fun of. and no one tells and makes fun of russel brand about his personal problems and decisions. and the jb shouldnt be blamed for being such good and grounded people. the jonas brothers are amazing and well grounded. they are the real people that are going to succeed in this life.

This is not meant to be harsh, but more like advice from someone who cares. If you were offended, maybe you feel guilty and should rethink the casual sex “with people you date” thing. GO JORDIN AND JOBROS. They have a clear conscience each new morning and have kept a special part of themselves for that right person. Don’t casually give it away.
