Vanessa Hudgens gets back on the road as she arrives at LAX Aiport in Los Angeles on Monday after having attended the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
Sister Stella Hudgens was also traveling with older sis V! The Hudgens family are traveling to support Vanessa’s upcoming show at the Arena Monterrey in Mexico Tuesday evening.
With the recent success of High School Musical, Vanessa, Zac and Ashley have all padded their bank accounts!
“For the first two HSM movies that aired on Disney Channel, the cast all made about the same,” an insider tells InTouch. “Now that HSM 3 is headed for the big screen, all of their salaries went up, but no one made more than $3 million.”
Zac reportedly made $3 million for the recent HSM movie. Ashley reportedly made $2.8 million while Vanessa made only $2 million. An insider said that Vanessa was paid less due to the photo scandal that hurt her image previously.

I don’t believe this salary comment. I also read that Zac made any where from 6 mil to 2.5 mil, Vanessa made anywhere from 3.5 mil to 1.75 mil and Ashley made much less than Vanessa. Depending on which article you read at the time , the salaries were all different. Unless I see it in writing or Vanessa, Ashley , or Zac confirms it, I don’t buy it. Somehow , I can’t see Disney doing that to her, especially since she was one of the first ones to sign on for HSM3. Hopefully this and the pregnancy rumors will stop soon. Vanessa is not in the least, pregnant looking in these photos. Again, chalk it up to rumors. I wonder how much of what we read about these stars is actually true? Not much , I’ll bet. She looks really great here btw.

yeah e news reported it but they never said it in absolute terms. Most likely it was “leaks’ & a bit of guesstimattion. If the cast specifically reveals their salaries or disney does then they will be the ones I will fully believe. Also money doesn’t always define everything, Lucas is one of the most talented or the most talented in that cast, yet I highly doubt he made anywhere near as much as these 3.

I have to say I’m kind of mixed where this salary thing is concerned. On one hand it wouldn’t surprise me because even though “HSM3″ is a feauture film its still a modestly budgeted one, I think it’s around $15 million so I can see the Disney number crunchers looking for a way to cut costs, and I hate to say this but the scandal probably did put Vanessa at a disadvantage when it came to salary negotiations.
On the other hand I don’t see the studio or the actors representatives releasing the exact amounts they were paid. So I’m also a bit skeptical.
I do have to say that if Vanessa was paid $2 million dollars I certainly don’t see her complaining her about it.
And bee to answer your question: No, Vanessa CANNOT stop looking gorgeous. It’s the law. :)

The people who actually KNOW how much each got paid—like Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, their agents/managers, and Disney bigwigs—probably are not going to go out and tell anyone, much less InTouch magazine. I would believe more that someone is trying to starts publicity going to get interest in the movie that is about to be released dare say some people might have forgotten it ! I think you are all missing the point on the topic of salary. I’m sure many of you have seen the BTS footage and have heard from the actors themselves talk about how much fun they have making those movies…..finding that much joy in one’s work is PRICELESS! First of all, I like how Vanessa looks on those pictures. Love the blue tp and the pants. Her sister surely is dressing like her. How old is she again? I just hope she’s not dressing older than her age.
About the salaries, if it’s true that Vanessa got a lower amount because of the photos, I guess that’s fair enough. Remember before when the cast weren’t not officially signed yet? There were discussions if the cast will return, blah, blah. And then the photos surfaced. Of course, it hurt her image and her character in HSM. I think they even considered replacing her. But that did not happen. If it did, a lot of people will not watch it (including me).
Ashley, on the other hand, even if she’s not the lead, I think her talent fee is really bigger than Vanessa since she’s been working on TV for more years and not to mention, she’s with Disney. So, it will not relly be a surprise if she was paid higher.
But don’t forget guys. HSM is not the only that these 2 gals do.

Firstly, I think Disney made a tv musical movie with Brandy as Cinderella and this was a couple of years ago. As to Disney being racist, I speak in their defence, go do your homework.
Secondly, I think people just love a good scandal and can’t get over it until the next one comes along. Poor Vanessa, I must say, however, she has moved on like so many other celebrities. The fact that she has been a Disney protegee, has even made it more difficult for her. I admire her for all that she has been through and that she has still managed to keep her dignity and holds what is true to her. The salary that is being reported is really old news. It came out over a year. Zac got 3 million and the rest of the cast(Ashley,Corbin, Vanessa
Lucas and Monique) got the same amount. Disney was going to replace Vanessa, but Zac won’t commit to HSM3 w/o her even though Disney offer him 5 million. The cast also get a % of merchandising(DVD, CD, Books, Dolls Clothes etc) for HSM3 but Zac gets a higher %. If you remember before Vanessa’s scandal, there was original cast didn’t sign on for HSM3. Their agents were in heated negotations with Disney for HSM3 because their original contract for HSM had an option for one additional movie(which became HSM2) so their agents at (CAA and William Morris) wanted a better deal for their clients.

FYI, Vanessa is not 1/4 Filipino. She is 50% Filipino. Her mom is a pure Filipina. I even doubt about her Chinese and Spanish blood since the Philippines has been colonized by both cultures long time ago and many Filipinos have the same blood except that it’s distant. FYI, almost all of the Filipinos’ last name are like Spanish.
However, her mom’s last name is kind of Chinese so I guess they really have Chinese blood but that may be very distant already. I had a feeling before that they made her say that she have Chinese and Spanish blood also just so they cannot be discriminated for being Filipino. It’s sad but it happens in Hollywood.

Regarding HSM salaries. Vanessa’s $2 millions might be a signing bonus with % of the gross box office revenue from the movie. Zac is probably straight fee of $3 millions. And same with Ashley.
The salaries were quoted from “In Touch” mag, which probably not true. It sounds like an estimation of what they think the HSM casts are getting from Disney.
The HSM casts representatives or Disney came forward quoting the casts salaries are for HSM3.
If you follow professional sports…in a press release, the team’s general manager will come infront of the media and quote what the new contract and salaries that player is getting.
In other word, there weren’t any press release from Disney or the HSM casts representatives quoting any actual salaries figures for HSM3. All Disney has quoted that all 6 original HSM casts have re-signed to reprise their roles for HSM3. The press mention that Zac is getting $3 million, but they guessed what Vanessa and Ashley are getting. Ashley signed her contract before Vanessa and Zac was the last to sign his contract.
When are people going to stop believing those ragazines???? NEWSFLASH: InTouch, Life and Style, National Enquirer, and magazines like that are TABLOIDS. You can’t believe ANYTHING they report.

I think there’s a factor in regard to the salary issue I think some people are overlooking, and that’s Zac had already moved out from under the umbrella of “Disney Kid” with his role in “Hairspray” and the fact that he was getting lead roles in “17 Again” and “Me and Orson Welles.”
So while it is true that he and Vanessa are equally important to the success of the “High School Musical” francise he is in demand. So because of that Disney would have to give him more incentive to sign on. It’s jus\ good business sense.

I do however believe what Variety wrote about Zac refusing to do this movie without Vanessa. He didn’t need to do the movie and he knew it since HSM2 left on a good note. There was no “cliffhangers”, nobody was left wondering about any of the characters so the third movie wasn’t a must. The third installment was important because all the actors in the HSM franchise were so important. BUT I’m sure Disney knew without EITHER Zac or Vanessa the movie would never fly on the big screen.

I totally agree! It made me cry.
Zac and Vanessa sang it so beautifully and with so much emotion that they transformed what could have been an ordinary song and gave it soul.
They really did good with this song and I think any couple at all would find a lot of connection with it. It could become a top wedding/anniversary favorite.
