Vanessa Hudgens: Back On The Road

amijames, I agree that salary is not an issue, because they do love what they do. Imagine, they had a blast filming and hanging together, AND got paid for doing that. Not a bad job, huh? But it would be shameful of DIsney if they did pay her less. HSM 1, 2, and 3 would not be the same without her, and Disney has made a boatload of money off of her.

and I don’t think Vanessa will ever be bother about on how they got paid because she cares more about on how she will makes her FANS love what she does coz like she always said, ” She is nothing without us her followers”, so I don’t think being paid less or more from her co stars really a big deal. Besides, they are all like a family and they all love working all together.

I think there’s a factor in regard to the salary issue I think some people are overlooking, and that’s Zac had already moved out from under the umbrella of “Disney Kid” with his role in “Hairspray” and the fact that he was getting lead roles in “17 Again” and “Me and Orson Welles.”

So while it is true that he and Vanessa are equally important to the success of the “High School Musical” francise he is in demand. So because of that Disney would have to give him more incentive to sign on. It’s jus\ good business sense.

the two main stars always get the most money. that would be zac and vanessa. but i’m sure this rumor was put out there to bring attention to one of the supporting cast. gotta get attention any way you can especially when zac and vanessa outshine everyone else in the movie.

I think she has to pay for what she did, and a lower salary is just the best way to do it but i still luv u Vanessa and you do not suk!

I seriously doubt Vanessa’s salary got cut and all the hoopla about this is someone’s attempt to stir up publicity for the movie and these kids. I do however believe what Variety wrote about Zac refusing to do this movie without Vanessa. He didn’t need to do the movie and he knew it since HSM2 left on a good note. There was no “cliffhangers”, nobody was left wondering about any of the characters so the third movie wasn’t a must. The third installment was important because all the actors in the HSM franchise were so important. BUT I’m sure Disney knew without EITHER Zac or Vanessa the movie would never fly on the big screen.
