Poolside Kristen Dunst is soaking wet on the October 2008 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, out Sept. 23. Here are some interview highlights from the 26-year-old actress:
On growing up and moving on from being a child actress: “When you spend your entire life as a child actress, being told where to go and where to stand, you’re performing constantly for people. It definitely breeds the kind of person who’s dependent on other people’s approval. If I’d trusted myself and listened to myself all the times that I ignored myself, I would have been fine. But everyone has to learn their lesson, and now I’ve got it.”
On staying mum about seeking treatment for depression at Utah’s Cirque Lodge: “I don’t want to go into too much detail because I give a quote and then it’s blogged about for the rest of my life on the Internet. [But] I’m great.”
On the blogs romantically linking her to Justin Long: “[The rumors] are the funniest thing on planet Earth. I don’t know him from Adam. I met him once and he and his friend were kind enough to walk me home. I’ve never seen him since.”
On having children of her own someday: “I can’t wait to have kids one day. I want to have kids and a farm with lots of animals on a lake.”
She can be seen next playing a celebrity journalist in the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, out Oct. 3.

She is beautiful, and has always been a little pale….It is the red lipstick and nail polish that makes her skin seem paler….Her reason for depression rehab. is just that…HER OWN.!!!!!…..she is right when she says the paparazzi’s and other media will turn around and ” blog forever “, on something THEY made up, OR took out of context…Good for her on staying private !!!!
Finally.. she’s using the potential she has to look totally gorgeous! I hate seeing her all grubbed out in awful clothes and stringy hair, when I know she’s much better then that. Beautiful cover!
Um, there weren’t rumors about him being with Kirsten Dunst three months ago (he was still with Drew Barrymore three months ago). And it doesn’t take that long to get an interview published.
The red lipstick and fingernails doesn’t look right with her pale skin, the photog needs to fire whoever they hired to do her makeup
I Love this cover! It’s very classic looking and who better to have on their cover but a classic…she’s done some great roles and I love her Marie Antoinette role the best…okay, maybe just for the fashion…but, it was beautiful.

She does look very pretty, her smile looks gorgeous, although it the skin is photoshopped white to the max…not too flattering, but all up gorgeous
maybe if she spent a little more time taking care of herself and less time trying to pretend to be something she isn’t she and others like her wouldn’t be depressed once the cameras are off. all the fake fake fake comes to an end when your home alone, you can’t fake yourself to yourself.
