Yawn–can someone actually wake me up when anyone posts something original. Because all I see here is previous people with new names—————————————-funny about that.

She wants, craves & needs to be in the public eye (almost 24/7 if she would push it a little bit more)… so she’s ASKING for criticism. That’s just how it is. You step into the public eye, you’re going to get criticized. If she can’t handle it, then she needs to get out of it ASAP.

If some rabid fans can’t handle it then I don’t know what to tell you other than just get over it. It’s going to happen whether you like it or not. Pot calling the kettle black comes to mind. People pushing their opinion on others and the others raising to the bait.

Stop crying about people not liking your fave celeb and move on yourself and/or stop ranting about someone being mean to someone you don’t even know yourself. She’s BRINGING IT UPON HERSELF just by what, how & why she has CHOSEN to do. Go into the corner with a box of puffs and come to terms with it already.

There, I’ve said my piece and I’m off the soapbox. The mic’s is on to the next “ranter” – lol!

Expressing an opinion is not slanderous or libelous in a court of law unless the person accusing another of slander or libel can prove that they’ve been hurt substantially (in a way that can be measured by monetary damages) by what was being said or printed. It’s perfectly legal to say that Rachel looks like a homeless person, that she has no talent and probably no future in film because this is the opinion of a few people who don’t own or run TV stations, film studios, newspapers, magazines or other forms of media. Our opinions are not preventing RB from either looking for or finding work because she doesn’t read them, doesn’t care abou them, and neither do the people that would potentially employ her. JJ is shielded from libel laws because they don’t endorse anything that is said by users commenting, and are only performing the service of re-printing photos and articles with links, etc. and allowing public comment. It’s a public board and people have the right to say anything they want. JJ gets paid when there are hits to the board. That’s the extent of the involvement. JJ is not liable can’t can’t be sued for anything on this board.

You don’t like what’s being said and it’s your right to not like it and say so here. I think you should quit crying libel and slander of your favorite actrine and figure out that every single actor in the world gets criticism about everything about them– some of it deeply unfair. They expect (or should) to lose jobs because their body type is wrong for a part or they’re not young or sexy enough, no matter how talented they are. The difference is that the talented, driven and persistent keep working because people keep hiring them. The rest leave. HC is working again. RB is not. Figure it out. RB doesn’t have 1/10th the talent of HC and it’s become very obvious after Jumper and the poor screens of her performance in NYILU. She’ll be lucky if her daddy or some relative can get her another job in TV.

It’s only slander if you take it to the press and verbally make a statement against that person or celebrity those in the public eye give up much of the defermation law, That is why magazines have to be careful what they print because of libel law. Distinguishing between public and private figures for the purposes of defamation law is sometimes difficult. They also voluntarily place themselves in the public eye and consequently relinquish some of their privacy rights. For these reasons, false statements about limited-purpose public figures that relate to the public controversies in which those figures are involved are not considered defamatory unless they meet the actual-malice test and in this case knowone is going to the press here to give information that is defaming her. There is a gray area and these boards would be so closed down it it interfered in libel law or defamation of chacter. People can speak on what they see or how they see and if the person who doesn’t like what they see then verbally gives an opinion on this there isn’t much you or the celebrity can do.. Bilson put her self out there to be ridiculed and she knows it ..and good chance this was a press stunt she arranged to do if she means so much to HC then he would be all over her like flies on **** and right now he has not been near her publically in months. Friends yes I say they are any more then that let this man state it not her.

If this actrine would get a real life, a bf who can stand to be at her side and a job, everyone would get off her case. It’s that simple.

I think she does all this for attention too. Does that make her a bad person? No. But she should just be straight with people and stop pretending that she’s such a private person. Because she’s far from it. Her actions speak louder than her words. You can’t run around talking about how private you are. But get photographed 4 to 5 times a week and run around wearing an “H” necklace, yet you’re “private” about your relationship. That just screams “I want attention” to me. She wants people to speculate, wonder and ask about it. Her wearing the necklace is not even necessary. You’re with Hayden, we get it. Does she wear it because he won’t be bothered to be photographed with her, goes missing for weeks and she doesn’t want people to forget? Or is it because after a good year and a half, you still can’t get a picture of him even giving her a pat on the back? And she wants everyone to know “Hey, he is indeed my man.” Just because she’s cute, bubbly and seemingly nice doesn’t mean that she’s above being an attention seeker. We’re so quick to skewer other “celebrities” for being “media whores” when they clearly have absolutely nothing on their agenda. And are still “followed” around. And I use the term “followed” loosely. Because their publicists make some of those calls. Not all, but a lot of them. So she should be grouped in with the rest of them, because she’s no different. And trust me, there are A LOT of pictures of her that don’t even get put on JJ. A LOT. You would think she was Angelina with all that attention. But she’s not, so what does that tell you? I wouldn’t be irritated by her at all if she’d just come out and admit what she’s really all about. That would make her more real to me. I could care less about her relationship. Just admit you like the attention.

BUT she doesn’t deserve all this at all. I know she never reads this stuff. And everyone’s going on about free speech. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion. This isn’t a fan site. But there’s a huge difference between an opinion(A strong one) and pure hatred. And some of these comments are indeed pure hatred. If everyone would stop posting hateful comments, she wouldn’t generate even half the posts she gets. So the solution is simple. If you’re tired of seeing and hearing about her, skip the thread. The more you post, the better for her.

You covered a lot of ground in your comment, and no, you weren’t too contradicting. lol My favorite part of your comment is where you said, essentially, that there can be completely free speech without one hateful word being spoken. I think you proved it in your comment.

You guys don’t know what hate speech really is. If you want to see hatefulness on JJ, just look under the recent photos of Madonna or any of the Sienna Miller stuff. What RB gets is pretty tame compared to that. Get some perspective please.

Also I see that HC finally came out and said that the ring RB is sporting is not his. We know the H necklace is not his. They haven’t been photographed together in 3 months. RB needs to find a bf or a financee that is proud of her and is proud to be seen with her, also needs to GET A JOB. Her credibility is declining by the minute.
