I hope Angie will be on the RC for this premiere.
I love Clint Eastwood as a director and love AJ as an actress–so this movie should be great!
Wow! I can’t wait until that movie comes out! It’s my first hearing about the movie and the trailer looks awesome!
Thanks for the new thread and Trailer. I am looking forward to seeing the Movie. AJ is a great actress and gave a moving performance in A Mighty Heart. Changeling should be another moving, intelligent performance.
nice trailer
I’m first????
First page!!!!! Love Angie!!! It’s a “must watch” for me!!!!!
I gues no
Changeling looks SO good. I can’t wait to see it!
Wow - even her voice sounds different
Can’t wait to see this movie.
OMG, it sounds soo good…I hope she doesnt get snubbed at the oscars next year…I will go tomorrow to see Burn after reading and I am going to see Chnageling in the fall.
Will not watch any movie with that home wrecker in it.
Looking good!!!!!
Wow! I didn’t expect the trailer to be so powerful. It looks quite riveting.
ughhh @ 09/11/2008 at 9:37 pm
Go see Management instead… oh wait, it doesn’t have a distributor… LOL!
Angie is the greatest actress in Hollywood right now.
Thanks for the new thread and Trailer. I am looking forward to seeing the Movie. AJ is a great actress and gave a moving performance in A Mighty Heart. Changeling should be another moving, intelligent performance.
—————-
ITA. It was unfair that she was snubbed for a terrific subtle performance in A Mighty Heart. Hopefully she wil at least get nominated for an Oscar, if not win.
The film looks pretty interesting. I wasn’t really planning on seeing it but I am definitely interested now. Clint Eastwood is such a wonderful director and John Malkovich is a brilliant actor. I think the combo with Angelina really works!
The movie sound great and I will go and watch it for sure. It is John Malkovich and Angelina Jolie with director like Clint Eastwood for god’s sake.
She sounds so different to her usual kick ass self in the Changeling trailer.
I can see why she said that she was kinda channeling her mum.
She is not the best actress in Hollywood. She is good but not the best.
The trailer is good though.
Angelina is not only a pretty face, she really has talent.
She doesn’t stop surprising me.
After watching the trailer all I can say is WOW, FANTASTIC & SO POWERFUL. I can’t wait for this movie to come out. Angie is FREAKING AMAZING.
Thanks Jared for the new Changeling trailer thread
OMG. there’s a new war starting at new website on celeb gossip. I do love Angelina but you can tell who is a true beauty w/their hair tucked away. Jen Aniston could NEVER look this good in a hat! She needs her hair to hide her flawful face. Ewwwww.
I cannot wait to see this movie! Angelina Jolie is such a wonderful dramatic actress!!!!
I researched this case a bit and what the L.A. P.D. did to Christine is barbaric!
I love Clint Eastwood and I love Angelina. Will definitely see this movie! Can’t wait to see Burn after reading tomorrow.
Amazing movie!! I can’t wait…
This might not get her an Oscar but believe me, this one will have another Oscar by the time of her 40th birthday. She is the Liz Taylor of our generation. The options are limitless. A truly good soul will always fare well…
My heart is pounding. Angie is a great actress. Beauty, brains, talent, mother, humanitarian, wife, advocate, did I leave anything out? She and Brad, their movies just keep getting better and better. They feed off of one another in the most positive way. Peace
# 32 sickitten @ 09/11/2008 at 9:50 pm
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I disagree, She is in all respects better than Elizabeth Taylor!
Powerful! I hope she gets an oscar for this film.
Man!!!!! This is a good movie. I have to go and see this.
What a rivetting performance. Jolie is one actress who can play just about any part. She morphs into any character given her way. Not many actresses can carry the kind of performances she has under taken such as a Gia, Girl Interrupted, A Mighty Heart, etc. In each performance Jolie immerses as the character and not as Angelina Jolie. Unlike the likes of Jennifer Aniston who seems to be one dimensional in all of her performances. She continously channels the Rachel Green character. Her reach as an actress seems to have outplayed its course. Jolie by comparison stands out with the likes of Meryl Streep, Ingrid Bergman, Kate Hepburn and many actress of a bygone era.
# 28 sickitten @ 09/11/2008 at 9:44 pm.. No need to bring up Jen.
Wow ! I couldn’t wait…….
I laways respect Clint Eastwood and love all of the movie he has done.
And I’m always think Angie is talented since I watched her in ‘GIA’
a long while ago.
http://www.lycos.com/info/angelina-jolie–gia-carangi.html
Yes, she was up and down in the blockbuster but it’ happened to almost every one even Julia Roberts.
I wish her all the best with her other half - Brad and thier kiddies….
: )))) * ))
Wow. The trailer looks really good. I’m impressed that neither Angie nor Malkovich look or sound like they have in other movies. Not really digging that pasty white powder on Angie though I know it’s what women wore at the time.
This looks like such a great movie. I can,t wait to see it.
Love the trailer and of course, I will see it as soon as it comes to BRAZIL.
Wow, the film is intense. Clint Eastwood rarely missed, that guy is a genius . I hope Angie’s get an Oscar nom . in this film.
The trailer is amazing..
`dudeee… sweeet. lol
..looks a lot better than that flop (bar) her boy-toy’s in.
this looks so good i cannot wait!!!! Jolie + Malkovich, gives me chillssss!!!
she keeps changing her voice to suite whatever role she’s in. cool.
WOW!!! This trailer looks good!!!! I hope she gets nominated for oscar for this performance. I have a feeling this is Brad and Angie year. Their career are going great. What a wonderful year for them, the birth of the twins and upcoming awards accolades!!!
From the little you can see from this trailer, it looks like a great performance.
ughhh @ 09/11/2008 at 9:37 pm
So wait till Christmas and watch Fugly in the dog movie. From what everybody who saw the trailer is saying, the dog gave a better performance than she did.

Give it a rest. You ja fans sound like broken records.
Aniston was not good in keeping her marriage intact and then you just blame AJ for being beautiful and sexy and intelligent and loving and mature and compassionate and should I go on……
Go and watch the interview of your idol during the TIFF and then maybe you will realized how dumb she is and that’s the reason why Brad left her.
So powerful and intense!!. Can´t wait for this movie.
Thanks JJ foe the new thread.
The trailer is awesome. Thanks Jared. Angie is an amazing actress. Goodnight. :)
It seems like a good movie by the trailor. However, I’ll go to a theater for action and comedy movies, but not dramas. I’m sure I’ll rent it though. If I’m going to watch something depressing, I’d rather be at my house, so I can scan and skip, as I please. Looks good though, as far as I can tell, so far.
Thank you. Thank you Jared!!! Big hug! :) :)
This clip is better than what they showed on ET.
(I just posted this on the last Brad thread)
Why this incessant need by everyone to talk up Clint and Angie’s chances at an Oscar? The fact is giving a great performance or crafting a great film is only part of the fomula needed to win an Oscar. So everyone, just chill, enjoy the film when you see it and if you like it talk Oscars all you want but try saving it for the award season. Angie doesn’t need the validation. Forget the Acadamy Awards, I think we should be pressing the U.S. government to award Angie and maybe even Brad the Congressional Gold Medal for all the tireless work they do. They are the greatest symbols today for reinvigorating charitable work. I would love to see her at that ceremony!
By the way. I loved the trailer.
Jennifer Aniston would play this role better.
OMG. It gives me chills just watching the trailer & Angie’s performance WOW!!! Definitely an Oscar for Angie. I can’t wait to see it next month. An added bonus directed by Clint East wood. You can’t top that. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.
WOW! pretty powerful and that was just a tiny glimpse from the trailer.
Her voice everything about her is damanding! can’t wait to see this!
i don’t like the oscar talk it is a jnxx remember MH.

I predict this will be another hit… I mean BOMB STINKER SINKER, just like most of her other movies :/
Can we get someone to fill in the “dark bad girl wannabe serious actress” spot please???
The trailer is amazing.
Just watching this trailer I can see why Clint & Angie received a 10 minute standing ovation at Cannes.
Good night all. Thanks again Jared!!!! :)
infamous is stup*d as always.
Oscar material!
Oh my goodness! This is gonna be really good! How anyone can doubt her skills is beyond me. From WANTED to CHAGELING without batting an eye. Amazing!!!
Is it my speakers or does she sound a little different…her voice is kinda faint.
Anyway, thanks Jared for the new thread (finally…just kidding, a little :) ) and Goodnight ladies!!
I hope, they show the trailer tomorrow before Burn After Reading starts. So far so good, Angie plus Clint equals stellar performance.
MF nice to see you posting tonight. Goodnight. God bless.

Will not watch any movie with that home wrecker in it
*************************************************************
Promise?! I have an even better idea. Why don’t you and your other Angie hater friends all get together and swear on a pack of bibles that no matter what, you will never, ever, ever see this movie no matter what anyone says about it and that you will instead spend your collective dollars on any and every film good Friend Jen comes out with. I’m sure she’ll thank each and everyone of you and invite you all to be her special friends.
I’m not a very huge Angelina Jolie fan… well, I’m not really a fan…
But I’m interested in seeing this film. It looks very good!
I see an Oscar heading her way. This film seams to be very powerful.
oscar is overrated and cliche…no longer about great talent but politics and ass licking….actors need to lick someone’s/hollyweird flabby and smelly ass even to get consider for oskee nomination…
my chickie babe is the best actress of all times because i said so…..anyone who contradicts me is a loser and get my middle finger
I can’t wait to see this movie! Would so love to see an Oscar for Angie too! Hi, BAMPZSKV fans–it’s good to have a new Angie thread.
Just watched the trailer–wow…..

YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
OMG, Harvey you are soooo funny. BUT you are being very bad and very mean to make fun of Jennifer Aniston like this.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
WOW! Changeling is on my MUST SEE list. Angie is powerful! I love her and Brad and the kids. I will see Burn After Reading this weekend.
# 56 Harvey @ 09/11/2008 at 10:36 pm Jennifer Aniston would play this role better.
+++++++++++++++++++++++
Funny how no one approaches her with dramatic roles.
Watch her interview at TIFF, she considered Management to have “challenged her”. Her own statement.
Sheesh, talk about over acting. She either doesn’t emote enough or she overacts in what she thinks is acting. Sorry, the film might get 3 stars but Jolie gets no stars for acting.

and then there is everyone else’s at Cannes!

That’s a big “duh!”. Brad is an overrated actor , and Angelina is hated by many and because of that hate she is very underrated as an actress. Animation, Action, Drama in a row and people still doubt her acting ability? PFFFFT!
you dumb brad pitt fans! His movies will bomb. Tyler Perry’s movie will beat him this weekend and his next movie release is so overcrowded it will be lucky to make half of what was spent making it.
Eloise @ 09/11/2008 at 11:28 pm Sheesh, talk about over acting. She either doesn’t emote enough or she overacts in what she thinks is acting. Sorry, the film might get 3 stars but Jolie gets no stars for acting.

don’t forget a geriatric Scarface and taxi Driver gonna beat Geolooney and Brap’s ass at the box office this weekend too.

African Girl,
I think the tone of voice was deliberate, to show Christine as overwhelmed, afraid and almost out of her element, having to take on the big bad LAPD. The performance seems like a tour de force.
Burn After Reading and Changeling are Must See Movies. Both films are highly recommended and critically acclaimed!!! THAT’S RIGHT. Fans lets support Brad and Angie by seeing both films.
#71,
neil, LMAO.
OMG!!! This movie is incredible!
Can’t wait to see it. This is another movie for our Angie, a very different role. She is indeed a versatile actress. I’m so proud of her.
I miss her. I’m looking forward to seeing her on the red carpet of Changeling. I’m sure she will be gorgeous with Brad.
Please there is no need to argue with haters. Her incredible performance has been acknowledged from Cannes. Just enjoy it.
WOW!!! This movie is so powerful..A must see movie!!!
The real tita,
How are you now? I learned about your accident
I do hope you are okay now. God bless!!!
PEACE BAMPZSKVville!!!
Wow, Angie’s voice is completely different in the movie. She doesn’t even sound like herself.
I think this will be a great movie. Looking forward to it. :-)

Angelina Jolie has her press junket for Changeling later this month and the the actual premiere on October 4th.
Her stylist, Jen Rade spoke to People about how they’ve been talking about what she’ll wear for the events. Rade said it’s sometimes complicated on the phone with Angie because there are lots of kid noises in the background, but that she’s always got time to talk about it. She also said that she feels a bit of pressure to make sure Angelina looks good for her first appearance since the birth of Knox and Vivienne, but five years together have given her enough confidence to not worry too much.
As for whether there are any problems finding something perfect for her post-pregnancy, Rade said no - “Not really. She’s breastfeeding so the boobs are bigger, but no. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it.”
She also said that she’s a fantastic mother: “She loves it - or else she wouldn’t do it.”

Tyler’s movie always has a nice opening but drop 60-70% the week after, while the Rightteous was not even shown to the critics , not a good sign. the two film might outnumber BAR on the first day but not the total gross. BAR has a better critics reviews, plus good buzz will help it’s leg.

Holy crapoola, Eloise, an actress by trade is here blogging.
I find it funny that Aniston fans has to pretend they are not fans of Aniston & bash Brad & Angelina to prove to themselves that the whole world hates the Jolie-Pitts.
Now, someone…a Z list actress named Eloise pretending to be an actress to attack Angelina about her acting. Is that you Aniston???
Looking forward in seeing this movie. It will be shown on limited release first. Thanks JJ for putting this thread up.
Whatever Angie wears will be fantastic. Angie wears the clothes instead of opposite.
Tess you are so on the money ! Yeah it probably is the chin !!
Burn After Reading starts in theater on Friday, this week.

Please support Brad and Angie’s movies. They give their best, let us give them our best by supporting their movies.
Why do so many people bring up Jennifer Aniston on here??? It’s effing retarded. She has nothing to do with Brad or Angelina anymore and yet people keep dragging her name through the mud on Angelina threads. It’s weird and I don’t think Angelina and Jenn have any war going on.
I am so going see this movie and Burn after reading tomorrow.Clint is an amazing director and Angie just blows me away with her acting abilities.I admire her so much!
Burn After Reading and Changeling will both be HITS!! Both movies are great and Brad and Angie have millions of fans who will support these movies! Both are getting great reviews and others will be curious to check them out. Good word of mouth will also help.
Thank you Jared, ITA with Alex. This movie is so awesome and powerful. I can’t wait to see this movie.

Good morning to all fans from Europe! Jill and PT you made my morning so funny! Thank you!
I can not wait for this movie! Clint Eastwood is AMAZING director, love him so much! I love Angelina of course, and John Malkovich - I just saw him the other day, but from a big distance, he was in my country, he visited us right after Toronto, he was here with Roger Moore and others! Well, I am going for now, but I’ll be here later in the day!
Angelina, John Malkovich and Clint - what else do you need in a movie?!? Love it! :-)
Hope her acting won’t be snubbed by The Oscars this time. Oh, what the heck, she is great with or without an acting trophy.
“Belle @ 09/11/2008 at 9:39 pm Angie is the greatest actress in Hollywood right now.”
You have forgotten about Charlize Theron and Meryl Streep who are in the same league with Angie. This trio is truly amazing.
looks very good !!!! not very often im shaking after trailer… wow
hi Gramma! OH! Sexy grandma !
WOW that was very emotional.Cant wait for the movie.Angelina is an amazing actress.
i’m sorry but her acting his so forced….When she says I want my soon back, she doesn’t feel it! It’s too artificial. I’m sorry but this is my opinion!
I think Angie is such a great actor! I can’t wait to see this! She and Nicole Kidman are my too favorite stars!
altough i don’t like Angelina as a person ( i think she is traing to be a saint and many things on her are fake) this performance will be great!
She, Nicole Kidman and Kate Winslet are my favorite to get a nom!
Whats soon,lol,
It seems that every year now when Oscar season rolls around, we can rest assured that there’s another Clint Eastwood movie just around the corner too. Indeed, his upcoming movie Changeling was one of the major films notably absent from the Toronto International Film Festival this year, but that hasn’t stopped the Oscar buzz from mounting. At this point, it’s pretty much just a given.
The first trailer for Changeling has now gone online, and although I knew next to nothing about the film prior to watching it, I gotta say I was totally sold. Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, a woman whose son disappeared in March 1928. When the LAPD claimed to have found her son and returned him to her, she insisted that it wasn’t him, but no one believed her. Although John Malkovich, Amy Ryan and Jeffrey Donovan co-star, the whole movie essentially rests on Jolie’s shoulders.
She’s already won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1999 for Girl, Interrupted (and should have been nominated for A Mighty Heart, if you ask me), but I have a feeling she’s going to be among the contenders for Best Actress this year. Of course, I say that without having seen the movie, but at this point, it’s pretty much just a given! Check out the trailer below, or watch it in high-def over at Yahoo!. Changeling hits select theatres on October 24th

I just watched the HD version and cinematically it’s superb, as usual with Clint Eastwood, that and Angelina Jolie looks like she’ll be giving an Oscar worthy performance - remember that checklist I wrote up for The Soloist? Well you could chalk one up for Jolie from just this trailer, difference is her performance looks incredibly powerful from this short trailer.
Who knew that J. Michael Straczynski had such diverse writing talent in him? Well actually considering the relathionship and human element in Babylon 5 we shouldn’t be surprised.

Hopefully she will get a nod for best actress for this, and brad will get a best actor nod for Benjamin Button. How great if they both won? Then what would they do? Its not like you can get any higher in your career. Maybe they will open up their own studio, or run for public office, or buy half of Africa! I doubt their life could get any better…but im sure they will suprise me, they always do.
is that angelina she is scary is this a scary movie or what? oh well she is always like that ugly old angie
TO AMANDA,
Why is it too artificial? How is she supposed to act it out?
Wow this movie looks very intense, I almost cried. I hope the movie does very well.
Harvey @ 09/11/2008 at 10:36 pm Jennifer Aniston would play this role better
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Yes, I totally agree with you…. That’s why Jennifer got offered the role…. That’s why people like Clint Eastwood and Robert de Niro are knocking down her door begging her to be in their movies…
That’s why Jennifer gets offered serious roles and in different eras….
That’s why Jennifer gets to work with great actors like Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Matt Damon…NOT!!!!!!!!!
I hope angie and clint do the charlie rose show why in the city, plus jon stewart, he loves angie.
Amanda @ 09/12/2008 at 4:55 am i’m sorry but her acting his so forced….When she says I want my soon back, she doesn’t feel it! It’s too artificial. I’m sorry but this is my opinion!
—
I never saw that someone is giving a critic on a movie based on watching a trailer? How can you from 2 minutes of the trailer know about her acting in this movie?
-
Also, I really like this part when you can she Christine (Angie) in hospital, I think she knows how to play that part very well because she was amazing (and recived an Oscar) in a role of a person who is in mental hospital in Girl Interrupted, so again this time she probably knew how to give the best perfomance!
Also, Angelina is mother so I am 100% sure she act her best perfomance in this movie because she knows how she would feel if her child went missing!
Why copy silly posts.
Anyone know hwen it comes out in the UK.It s must see.
Changeling looks great! I can’t wait for this one. I miss Angie… and the regulars. Been quite busy lately. ***
Jolie is one of the few woman who has the ability of a De Niro’s…she can transcends herself to play different characters and can be credible each time. I think her real dralmatic talent is underrated and her options are quite unchattered and unlimited. Her faces is one of the most expressive i have ever seen. She can conveys so much powerful, different emotions. I think that’s what set apart great actors from the rest of the bunch…she acts with her body movements and facial emotions. The best actors are the ones of the ‘mute’ period, when you have to conveys emotions as words were off…she would have been a star in the 20’s !
I would love seeing her in one of those movies where she has to change herself completely, gaining many pounds, changing her hair color, her poise, limping…ect.
She is one of those very few actresses who has many more on her sleeves but whose exceptional beauty has kept her from those roles. I think that as she mature, she will goodeeper and deeper in those kind of roles and will be one of the few with a ’second’ career in her 40’s…Only the true versatile ones can go through the big 4 being still successful, embracing more deeper, interesting roles.
(((((WOW)))))) What a clip…when Christine cries for her son…I actually teared up. Very powerful. OMG…that’s that actor from that series, that hella cute one…oh wow — I can’t believe he’s in this!! Is he the guy that was relaying that story about kissin Angelina and getting walloped?? Muahhha, bet Braddy Daddy was all — he-heh, that’s my baby!
———————
No, that was Jason Butler Garner who plays the serial killer Gordon Northcott, which they didn’t show in the trailer.
OMG, Angie gave me chills, I cant wait to see this movie.
wow Angelina decided to get back to good films… since she stole Pitt from Aninston she’s being doing crap. good for her and for us.
omg…I love her more and more

Changleing Premiering at the New York Film Fest
NYFF Introduces the Year of the Actor
By S. JAMES SNYDER | September 12, 2008
What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, when the New York Film Festival raised the curtain on its 2007 edition, audiences were enticed by an accomplished lineup of American projects, helmed by major directors all working at the top of their game. Now, with the 44th edition of the festival preparing to launch in two weeks (tickets officially went on sale this week), audiences are poring over a catalog of almost entirely international titles, including a large selection of works that screened in May at the Cannes Film Festival. So what changed.
Unlike last year, when the festival’s brightest stars were directors such as Wes Anderson and the Coen brothers, 2008 is very much the year of the actor, from Mr. Rourke and Ms. Nieto’s strong turns to Benicio Del Toro in Steven Soderbergh’s “Che” and Angelina Jolie in Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling.” Yet when pressed to divulge which film made the deepest impression on him during the jury process, Mr. Jones did not single out the opening night, closing night, or centerpiece selections. Nor did he mention the work of Messrs. Leigh or Soderbergh. Instead, he pointed to Olivier Assayas’s “Summer Hours” (October 1 and 2).
“Of all the films we’re showing, it’s probably the work that has moved me most,” he said. “It’s a film that looks at what happens when someone dies, at the odd way in which their home becomes just this odd space, where their possessions become mere objects. It’s a very subtle and moving thing.”
Angelina is in such a wonderful place right now, good for her. I plan on seeing Burn After Reading also, it looks so funny, I’m in need of a good laugh.

Our picks for 10 films worth catching
I know I have my Top 10 list drawn up. And they are, along with their expected (read: subject to change) release dates:
Changeling
October
Gran Torino
December
Actor-director-unstoppable force Clint Eastwood once again makes two films for the fall season. In “Changeling,” he directs Angelina Jolie as a 1920s woman who believes that her recently kidnapped son is not hers, while “Torino” has Eastwood in front of the camera, as a bigoted Korean War vet. With 78-year-old Eastwood making movies back to back, is it any wonder John McCain, at 72, is running for president?
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Dec. 25
Next to Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, is there a star/director duo that comes up with more surprises than Brad Pitt and David Fincher? Their latest team-up, based on an F. Scott Fitzgerald short story, has Pitt playing a man born with a condition that makes him age in reverse. It does sound a little “Gump”-ish. But, with those two working together, I’ll keep an open mind.
I’m not sure whats going on but I’m certainly not lurking-the screen name. I’m TERI, why did this pop up as my name just curious?

GREEN LIVING
MAKE IT RIGHT RAIN GARDENS HOLD ON TO WATER
Saturday, September 06, 2008By Molly Reid
Hurricane Gustav produced no more street flooding than one would expect from a heavy summer rainstorm, but the landscaping around the Brad Pitt-sponsored Make It Right homes along Forstall Street would have been ready for the big gulp.
The Lower 9th Ward homes feature environmentally sensitive “rain gardens” designed to retain rainwater instead of letting it pick up extra toxins and chemicals on the pavement during regular runoff and street flooding.
Designed by a team of landscape architects, the rain gardens help meet the development’s goal of a platinum-level certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. But more than that, they’re “the proper thing to do when you’re building new homes,” said John Sader, Make It Right’s director of construction.
For far too long, residential landscaping has been seen as something that is tended, played on and managed, said Dr. Michael Blum, a Tulane School of Architecture professor and a member of Thalweg Studio, one of the firms that designed the rain gardens. The Make It Right rain gardens, Blum said, put the landscape to work.
“When a raindrop hits the rooftop, the question is, where does it end up?” Blum said. “It’s a question of, can we increase the amount of retention on site? It’s about reduction of runoff, acceptance of rainfall.”
The rain gardens are designed to work on three levels: to curb runoff; to encourage water to soak into the soil instead of going right back into the sewerage system, after picking up chemicals on the way; and to encourage a healthy sediment buildup that will, in turn, allow more water to be absorbed by the soil.
‘Burn After Reading’ too convoluted to be fun
Hopped up like a Bugs Bunny cartoon on mescaline and as chatty and uppity as a 5-year-old, “Burn After Reading” could be seen as the Coen brothers’ need to let loose after the tightly wound “No Country for Old Men.”
That movie won the brothers long-deserved Best Picture and Best Director Oscars, yet smart money was on subversive siblings Joel and Ethan going their usual unique route as soon as possible.
Sure enough, if “No Country” was a formally constructed exercise in control, the smart-ass, play-dumb spirit of “Burn” is closer to their earlier larks “Raising Arizona,” “The Ladykillers” and “Intolerable Cruelty.” Trouble is, of those, only “Arizona” was good, and this comedy is not.
The convoluted plot begins with CIA analyst Osborne Cox (John Malkovich) quitting his job after a demotion. His coldly calculating wife, Katie (Tilda Swinton), wants a divorce so she can be with her dopey lover, federal marshal Harry (George Clooney). But Katie’s lawyer loses the CD she’d burned detailing Osborne’s finances, as well as the memoir he’s writing about his years as a government spook.
The CD winds up with two idiot gym employees, Linda (Frances McDormand) and Chad (Brad Pitt), who think extortion is the way to go. Osborne, however, doesn’t play ball, lonely Linda just wants love, Harry has bad luck and Chad is a chowderhead who can’t stop jazzercizing.
There’s a bit of fun in seeing Clooney act goofy - he and the Coens first hit this groove with “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” But “Burn’s” lack of focus undersells the joke of oversexed, paranoid Harry stumbling into the plot. And while Pitt, too, has a good time acting like a fey mouth-breather, a goof on the kind of role he once seemed made for, it’s a relief when Chad exits the picture.
Less lucky are McDormand, whose facial tics don’t help the movie through low points, and Malkovich, who just screams obscenities and looks flustered. Even Swinton doesn’t have enough to do (she and Clooney had such a powerful thrust-and-parry in “Michael Clayton,” it’s a shame they’re on autopilot here), so character actors like J.K. Simmons end up making the biggest impression.
And, much as with the conclusion of “No Country,” the Coens smirk at their big ending happening off-screen, which unfortunately reflects on all of “Burn After Reading.” It has its moments, but is all too easy to erase from your memory.

My heart is pounding. Angie is a great actress. Beauty, brains, talent, mother, humanitarian, wife, advocate, did I leave anything out?
——-
No, but maybe worth stressing she got Brad Pitt in her bed every night LOL! Seriously when Brad said that during the BAR that was “the only time Angie wasn’t interested in me sexually”, I couldn’t believe it, he was bragging that she is into him 24/7 otherwise LOL!! How cute!
TONIGHT, the Coen brothers invite you to spend $12 in exchange for the information that people are idiots.
I’m not saying they’re wrong, but Joel and Ethan Coen’s “Burn After Reading” doesn’t accomplish much as it juggles an idiot marshal (George Clooney), two moronic health-club workers (Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand), an obtuse ex-CIA man (John Malkovich) and his cold (though presumably bright) wife (Tilda Swinton), whose clashes, or rather loopy encounters, stem from the loss of “highly classified s - - t,” as the Pitt character keeps putting it.
The film has enough funny lines and weird situations - some comedy business with a sex chair lovingly constructed by the Clooney character is the highlight - that it could age into a cult film like “The Big Lebowski.”
Most audiences will find it a head-scratcher with a dismaying act of violence and a haphazard plot that fizzles out without any of the main characters on-screen.
Another CIA man (J.K. Simmons) summarizes, “I’m f - - - ed if I know what we did,” and viewers will agree.
Malkovich’s CIA analyst quits the agency when offered a demotion, angering his wife, who is having an affair with a married treasury man (Clooney) who boasts that he carries a
gun at all times but never has
to use it.
His other pistol is always firing, though; he uses the Internet to trawl for more girlfriends, including a woman (McDormand) who works at a health club where she dreams of being able to afford a surgical full-body makeover.
When she and her dim co-worker (Pitt) discover a data disc left behind in a locker room (it came from the Swinton character’s lawyer - she was downloading everything from her husband’s computer with an eye toward divorcing him), they first try to blackmail the CIA man, then try to sell it to the Russians (who ask, in one of the best lines, “PC or Mac?”)
The film is a sort of Beltway “Blood Simple” played for laughs, flavored with contempt and nihilism. The wit rarely rises beyond the sort of smarminess that the Coens have shown signs of outgrowing in recent films, such as their best and least jokey one, “No Country for Old Men.”
Malkovich mutters pompously about the principles of George Kennan and gets drunk singing the ol’ Princeton fight song with fellow aristo-coots.
McDormand (playing Linda Litzke) worries that her breasts are “minimal,” Swinton barely makes a mark as a generic harridan and Clooney, as he has in several other comedies, goes to far too much effort plastering silly looks on his mug.
Pitt, flapping his arms to the beat of his iPod and saying things like, “Do you have any water? I gotta hydrate,” has to be told that, when attempting extortion, one should wear something more formal than a cranberry health-club uniform.
As much as anything, the movie is about the pieces of flair (Clooney’s plaid shirts and mall-rat gold chain, Pitt’s spandex workout gear, Malkovich’s sagging boxers) that, to the supercool filmmakers, signify American grotesqueness. No attempt is made to give the audience a character to identify with.
When Malkovich complains, “You’re part of a league of morons,” he is supplying what might have been an excellent title for the film. All of this is exactly as intended, though, so it’s hard to argue the film is a failure (except financially - that argument will be pretty easy to make).
The Coens are proud of the diversity of genres in which they work, yet their vision is pretty consistent. “Burn After Reading” doesn’t stray much, philosophically, from “No Country for Old Men,” which itself concluded with a cosmic shrug instead of a comic one.
The Coens are ice-pick cruel, dismissive of sentiment, meticulous in their design and utterly without hope. Sometimes they’re so repelled that their work is itself mildly repellent, at least on a first viewing.
BURN AFTER READING
For some eyes only.
Running time: 96 minutes. Rated R (graphic violence, profanity, sexual content). At the Empire, the Union Square, the Battery Park, others.

 must be hard for faniston to admit Angelina is great actress specially since Aniston’s mismanagament was another disaster since dog movie’s trailer.

One for Papa Pitt. Looking forward to seeing Burn After Reading.
Brad Pitt, sexiest man alive, is also one of the silliest
09/12/2008
Being beautiful isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Sometimes you want to be respected for your brains and talent.
Just ask Brad Pitt.
This weekend, audiences will find this cinema heartthrob in full silly mode in the Coen brothers’ spy spoof “Burn After Reading.” He’s been cultivating silliness for a long time.
Almost from the weekend in 1991 when movie goers flocked to the opening of “Thelma & Louise” and laid eyes on Pitt as a young, charming, impossibly sexy cowpoke, this Springfield, Mo., native and former University of Missouri student was marked as the guy women want to look at and guys want to be.
Pitt has been smart enough to run with that, to make sure that every once in a while he shows up on screen as a sexy hunk. Roles like that are his money in the bank.
But I can’t think of another movie sex symbol — male or female — who has worked as doggedly to defy that label at every opportunity.
Almost immediately after hitting it big, Pitt began toying with his image.
For his 1992 “A River Runs Through It” director Robert Redford capitalized on Pitt’s charm, casting him as a self-destructive small-town rogue. But in his next film, the crime thriller “Kalifornia,” Pitt hid behind a skuzzy beard and shaggy mane. And the next time we saw him, in the Quentin Tarantino-penned “True Romance,” he was even hairier in a brief performance as an emaciated drug freak. Not only was it a comic role, but the pretty dude of “Thelma & Louise” was all but unrecognizable.
In fact, Pitt has devoted much of his career to hiding behind characters that are the antithesis of the pretty boy.
He’ll grow hair. He’ll shave it off. He’ll whip it into absurd pompadours.
He’ll adopt impenetrable accents (like the Irish gypsy pugilist he played so memorably in Guy Ritchie’s “Snatch”).
He’ll portray medium-sized roles in big ensemble productions (”Babel,” the “Ocean’s” series) and knows how to exert just enough star power to make his characters memorable without capsizing the boat.
He’s not afraid to play neurotic or scary. If you haven’t seen him as Jesse James in “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” go rent the DVD. Yeah, he oozes the James charisma … but he’s also certifiably mad, a paranoiac around whom no one is safe.
For every good-looking leading man gig he accepts (”Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), Pitt offers two or three unusual, unexpected performances. Sometimes he even combines the two, as in “Fight Club,” where he played Edward Norton’s sexually charged, anti-establishment feather boa-wearing alter ego.
And in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (Dec. 25) we’ll see him as a man who is born as an aged adult and gradually gets younger.
Most of all, he likes playing goofy. I’d put Pitt on the short list of our best comic actors. He’s not afraid to look ridiculous … in fact he courts it.
In “Burn After Reading” we get Pitt in full funnyman mode as Chad Feldheimer, a trainer at Hardbodies Gym. Chad obtains a computer disc filled with useless information and becomes convinced it’s a treasure trove of spy stuff that he can sell to the highest bidder.
Chad likes to think he’s sharp, but his cocky pose is as phony as the blond highlights in his hair.
He’s at his most natural when doing a little funky dance of celebration to the music playing in his head (or on his iPod). He’s an infant in a tight shirt, a gum-chomping boob who might be narcissistic if he had any self-awareness at all.
When he tries to be mysterious and/or menacing, he’s so transparent that nobody takes him seriously.
But Brad Pitt the comic actor? We can take him very seriously.
Movie Review
Burn After Reading (2008)
C
By Lisa Schwarzbaum
Anyone who has seen the trailer for Burn After Reading on TV — and given the aggressiveness of the promotional campaign for this lazy new frolic, I assume most everyone has — knows the movie (1) is written and directed by the same guys who made No Country for Old Men, and (2) shares none of No Country’s qualities in any category except silliness of hairdos on movie stars happy to look dorky in the service of Joel and Ethan Coen. The dour terrain of novelist Cormac McCarthy sharpened the best of the brothers’ instincts for tracking the path of human anarchy, and the reward from their public and peers was a bookcase of awards, Oscars included. But the reward to themselves turns out to be a retreat to the familiar funny farm. Once more in Burn After Reading they goof around, in their arch, bemused way, with conventions of genre — a little screwball here, some spy spoof there. Once more they work from an original Coen story in which needy people are rewarded with chuckles for their neediness. Once more fans of Fargo and The Big Lebowski (as well as those random contrarians who liked The Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty) know what to expect.
But as a result of all that tilling, the movie is overplowed, even if Brad Pitt’s debut as a Coen comedy player is eye-catching: The star rags on his own pretty-boy status by genially rocking a bleached-skunk coif bound to draw as much comment as Javier Bardem’s No Country pageboy. Pitt plays Chad Feldheimer (the characters wear funny-sounding names as they might fake mustaches), a gym trainer low on intellectual wattage but high on electrolytes in a suburban Washington, D.C., fitness club. Chad happens to find a lost computer disc on the gym floor that may contain valuable information.
And then stuff happens, a giddily self-destructing spiral of missteps involving Osborne Cox (John Malkovich), a drink-prone CIA spook fired from his job, who seeks revenge by writing a memoir (the disc contains his notes); the spy’s disdainful wife, Katie Cox (the great Tilda Swinton, who can do sexy chill as either comedy or tragedy on demand); and Katie’s womanizing lover, Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney), a federal marshal whose equanimity rises and falls depending on whether he gets in his regular five-mile run, ideally after sex. (Good news: Clooney plays the third in what he has called his Coen-created ”trilogy of idiots” with less of a capital I than he did in O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Intolerable Cruelty.) For idle amusement, Osborne Cox sports a bow tie and a loyalty to his fellow Princeton alumni, signifying a brand of outmoded, old-boy values I guess the filmmakers are laughing at just because such things are outmoded. Even so, the ever more rococo performance artiste Malkovich manages to bust looser and goosier than even the Coens know what to do with, and his virtuoso thespian arias of alcohol- enhanced nuttiness (precisely tailored to fit an aging ex–CIA man’s lifestyle) are the movie’s one honestly fresh turn of the screwy.
All of which brings us back to the boob played by Pitt, as well as to Frances McDormand, that marvel of fine acting chops and confounding taste in the roles she takes, both in and out of Coen productions (she hasn’t been married to Joel Coen all these years for nothing). Here, McDormand portrays fellow gym employee Linda Litzke, a sad, single lady who treats her femininity as something akin to an embarrassing, itchy rash. (She’s got some of the choppy, desexualized speech patterns of Fargo’s Marge Gunderson, and a whole lot more self-loathing.) Linda hates everything about her face and body — her goal is to finance a head-to-toe surgical overhaul, possibly with extortion money wrung from Chad for his computer disc, if that’s what it takes. Still, she’s also brave enough to look for love online; she dares to have real feelings. And while she hurts, we’re invited to laugh. Linda is Burn After Reading’s most troublesome character — she’s a serious woman disguised as a joke, thrown into a story that has no use for seriousness (or, jeez, for women). Here’s something to consider after watching Pitt revel in the role of a dim bulb perfectly contented with his life while McDormand is stuck once again playing a bright-enough woman discontented with the universe: Is this not very old country for Coen men? C

hmmm Sounds like a Whiny dance
Most of the industry left Toronto yesterday, with a few stragglers getting on planes today.
For sales agents, it’s a time to follow-up, to push, to hope that a bad review is forgotten and the good one isn’t.
Leaning heavily on the Sutton Place bar, one tired sales agent mused today on the delicate dance they play during the fest — keeping an available title in the news by feeding out bits of positive info, yet being careful not to say something they may have to eat later. A distrib attends a second screening, Sundance has people in the audience, execs are circling, interest is building, the screening was hot, an offer is eminent, the filmmaker is in meetings.
It’s hard to decipher what’s actually happening. Even in the end, it takes days of collecting soundbytes to piece it together.
jeffpet @ 09/12/2008 at 7:27 am
hahaha Let’s see Angelina’s craps since Brad. M&Mr smith a big hit. TGS could achive great reviews from criticist and was a good seller.AMH could gain lots of award nomination both for the film and for Angie as an actress since 2003. a Beuwolf was number one seller for more than a week and was nominated among GG’s nominee and Angie was nominated for some award for her role which JD won. KFP and Wanted are among 10 best seller and still counting and were big hits. Can someone explain which movie this poster is talking about which is supposed to be crap and can someone also xplain how can someone steal one big_a** man from his so called hot wife if he was happy in his relationship? hahahaha
Love Angelina Jolie,She is a very Beautiful Lady with Beautiful Soul.
Thank-You! Jared for this New Thread,

Good Morning all and the troll trying to find the few negative reviews of Burn After Reading. Burn After Reading is currently approaching 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and is getting good reviews, “The Women” hasn’t reach the tens. Folks will see a movie because they want to and not the troll need for revenge. At least Burn After Reading is in the theaters. Focus on your idol and helping her get distribution. BP, George and the other cast of Burn After Reading are creative and risk taking stars.
I am looking forward to seeing Changeling. AJ is a diverse actress who can kick butts in Action films and move you in films such as A Mighty Heart and now Changeling. She is a well regarded actress and much sought after by directors such as the Legend Mr. Eastwood. Oscar buzz or not, I am looking forward to seeing another great performance by the Jolie. Have a great day and happy TGIF!!!!.
there was almost tears in my eyes…
must be a good film
hope to see it soon
Angie, the real, believable actress, humanitarian, mother, other half of Brad. I love her performance.
I can’t wait to see this movie. This afternoon I am definitely will be at the cinema for Brad. Have a good laugh and enjoy “Burn After Reading” . Bless Angie and her family.
# 188 lurking…Good Comments.

Jennifer Aniston would play this role better.
Jennifer wouldnt be able to handle the hairstyle and the costume.. forget the lines. … and for Clint Eastwood to consider her, wow the sun would have to rise in the west.
Eloise @ 09/12/2008 at 12:08 am #88 Passing Through
[I’m sorry, “Eloise”, but could you remind us again - when exactly was it that YOU became a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences? Oh…you’re NOT a member? Then STFU and go have a bowl of popcorn and re-watch your Friends dvds.]
How do you know I’m not a voting member of the AMPAS? I am an actress by trade. I know my craft.
—-
actress huh.. you should be reading scripts not blogs.. or are you Aniston, the new member of AMPAS?
Wow the trailer looks great as does Angelina’s performance.I really want to know what happen to her son. But I am going to stay away from reading about it and watch the movie.
After the last two years, I won’t hold by breath about the Oscars. All I want is for Angelina and Brad to keep getting interesting and diverse roles. Also for Brad and Angelina to be respected for their talent. Brad is getting great reviews for BAR. Angelina received great reviews for AMH and now for Changeling. Also she got much respect for being able to play action roles.
Thanks bdj. Eastwood is making another movie that will release this year. Goodness he does work fast.
Eh. Not much to go on in this trailer. I have no doubt the story is good. Clint is a genius. But what they show of Angie is not particularly remarkable to me at this point. Not to say she doesn’t nail it, but I don’t see how you can decide from what they put together here.

Aniston couldn’t even handle a 2 minute reading from a teleprompter during the Stand Up for Cancer event. She stumbled 5 times and looked uncomfortable. I don’t why you JA fans still impose your belief that she is a good actress. SHE IS NOT!
wow, can’t wait for this. it looks really good
Looks really amazing. She will def win oscar for this

Wasnt impressed. Unless she is playing and action part or a psycho she just doesnt come off as believable to me.
Laura Croft, 60 Seconds… those are more her speed. Just look sexy , move well and all will be good.
Thank you BDJ for the new articles.Have a nice day!

You are posting this crap from the begining of this thread, when is this going to end?Don’t you get tired of posting same **** over and over again? as a matter of fact Jolie has given lots of great performance in Drama’s movies. You probably are just 12 year old girl who still can’t understand what Drama’s movies are about and you still can’t understand this kind of movie. poor thing,my bad.

Sorry to tell you, Clint Eastwood despite frozen botox actress, which unfortunately is what’s happening to your idol mAniston, there’s no way he ’s gonna used an actress who can only move her lower lip, that seem to be the only body part of your idol which are not tamper by botox, restylane and plastic surgeries.

must be hard for faniston to admit Angelina is great actress specially since Aniston’s mismanagament was another disaster since dog movie’s trailer.
————
ITA, must be quite depressing after 2 yrs. of waiting for their idol movie, what they got is a movie kept pushing back from it’s original opening date, a movie can’t find a distributor or buyers, and another one was still in the shelf for almost 1 yr. there last hope was the dog movie. with a disaster trailer.
From Dlisted.com:
The trailer for John Malkovich’s new movie “Changeling” is here! I
always read it as “Chitterling” for some reason. I’ve been all about John M. ever since “Dangerous Liasons,” so I try and see everything he’s in. I mean, I even sat through that horrific piece of trash called “Mary Reilly.” Julia Robert’s accent should have been executed. Anyway, that’s how much I love John. I would drink his bathwater like it was Pineapple Kool-Aid with a splash of vodka.
Oh and that woman who rules the heavens and earth is also in it. You know, that woman who lives in the fancy French shoe with her ten million kids. Yeah, she’s in it.
The plot is about some chick in the 1920s whose kid gets lost or kidnapped or something. Another kid gets returned to her ass, but she swears it’s not her son. She gets thrown in the loony bin and the raw emotion comes out. Basically, it’s like the “The Deep End of the Ocean” minus the crazy house.
And I’m sure this kind of thing happens to St. Angie only a monthly basis. Whenever Shiloh comes to visit from her ivory tower, St. Angie always says, “This isn’t Shiloh.” Brad has to pat her on the head and say, “Yes, it is.”
Expect St. Angelina to get nominated in every single category at the Oscars for this performance. If they don’t nominate her, God will cancel the Oscars.
————–
I love Michael K!!! He kills me with his sarcastic remarks. He makes fun with other celebs, including Brangelina, but he talks the way he sees it.
To Ughhh …… Brad and Jen wrecked there own home ! Brad took it to the next level and went for a woman that had his same desires and you know what ,they are 6 kids deep into a lovely relationship. He clearly is a large family person and Jen is a maybe 2 children kind of girl, just watch youtube and her interview with Diane Sawyer and you will see how indefinite she is when it comes to the question of children. It took guts for Brad to make an unpopular decision to leave a beautiful woman that he had an I guess ok relationship with but it is just so obvious that something was not right and he maybe was tired of them being so oposite. Hell she might have been lieing about trying to get pregnant and he found some pills somewhere in the house!! I know that sounds like a lifetime holly wood script but do ya think maybe
http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/reviews/2008-09-11-burn-after-reading_N.htm
The secret to ‘Burn’ success: A bunch of dunderheads
Seeing dollar signs: A CIA operative’s memoirs fall into the hands of two gym employees, Brad Pitt, front, and Frances McDormand. At left is Richard Jenkins.
The brisk pace and sharp humor in Burn After Reading is a welcome relief after weeks of witless comedies and overblown action flicks.
This latest offering from the Coen brothers is an outlandish dark farce/spy spoof with some hilarious characters and quotable lines. In the pantheon of Coen movies, this is perhaps most closely related to The Big Lebowski in spirit. (It’s no Fargo.)
After their best-picture Oscar for the violent No Country for Old Men, the Coens are back to misanthropic madness.
The goings-on are set in the Washington, D.C., world of espionage. The film’s greatest asset is its ensemble of dunderheaded characters, particularly those played by Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand and John Malkovich.
If there is a theme here, it’s the pervasiveness of stupidity at all levels and in most professions. Even those entrusted with the most sensitive information bumble about foolishly, and everyone stumbles about propelled by lust or greed.
Malkovich plays CIA operative Osborne Cox, who is fired for excessive drinking and decides to write his memoirs — all while his contemptuous wife (Tilda Swinton) plans to divorce him. The disc containing Cox’s story falls into the hands of clueless employees at Hardbodies Fitness Center (Pitt, McDormand) who hope to turn their find into cold, hard cash.
From there, the farce spins out of control. And along the way, whether the scenarios are pseudo-sinister or ridiculously off-the-wall, it’s consistently funny — with witty dialogue and offbeat banter that stays in your head for days.
You would think Brad Pitt was the last man on earth to x’s fans. They cant move on.SAD.4 years seriously.
Angelina RULES! I’ll always watch and buy her films!

GREEN LIVING
MAKE IT RIGHT RAIN GARDENS HOLD ON TO WATER
Saturday, September 06, 2008By Molly Reid
===============
Thanks, bdj, for the article. It’s great that Brad brought so much awareness to green building with his project. It’s must be exciting for the architects to design these houses, then have the world talk about them. Even Frank Gehry praised Brad for the attention he brought to this topic.
Angie always gives her best in her performance for every film she makes, regardless of genre. She is just a very dedicated actress. No small or big role for her. What’s important is she acted them very well. Just recently, she earned a lot of praises for effectively portraying the role of Fox in Wanted and the seductive Grendel’s mother in Beowulf. Of course, how can we forget her being Marian Pearl in A Mighty Heart which by the way, should have been nominated in Oscars. You can never go wrong with Angie, that’s why it’s no surprise if her performance in Changeling will again earn her accolades. However, I’m not giving high expectations on that Oscar thing due to my disappointment on their exclusion of Angie on the list of nominees last time. As long as she is in her usual excellent acting performance for her every movie I watch is enough for me. Her talent is not dependent on trophies & awards. They just inspire but not the be-all and end-all of an actor’s acting ability. It’s either you have talent or none at all. With Angie, she doesn’t need a validation. We know she is a very good actress. Generally, people see her as an above-average actress. She has TALENT…and no one can put real talent down.
Now, if she ever gets nominated in Oscar, then thank you. Angie will just think of it as a bonus.
Sounds like it’s going to be good.
Clint Eastwood as a director, John Malkovich and Angelina Jolie is a good combination. Can’t wait.
Burn After Reading is in theater today.

I think her characters are all the same - she doesn’t seem to disappear in the role - it is always Angie. Very difficult to watch and get involved with a story line when the main character is always Angelina Jolie. Some actors and actresses disappear into their roles and become the characte- she is not one of them - it’s always just her. I’m finding it harder and harder to watch her.
Hi everyone,
This is great… Angie is surely evolving and growing up also as a thespian, as well as a person. Her life is so beautiful to watch.
However the film… I am not sure if I can watch it… the subject matter is so close to home and is the worst nightmare of mothers, isn’t it… Yesterday I happened to flip to the 9-11 memorial with people reading through their names, and when I heard one elderly woman who read, “And my beloved, only daughter…” I just fell apart. So sad…
Our family was hit by a violent stomach bug for a few days, kids started it of course and came to us parents with vengeance! Thanks to that I lost 1.5 lbs LOL!
I have always been a fan of Clint, AJ and Malko. This movie is going to be a purrrfect combo of a good director and great actors! I am going to get my gang watch it gazillon times. :D :)
WE LOVE BRAD AND JOLIE!!!
Thanks Jaro for bringing AJ to US! muaaaaagh!!!
From the trailer it looks like she does an amazing job with this character, and as some of you have said the thing shes done with her voice is terrific. The movie looks good.

Jen is a maybe 2 children kind of girl ??? I don’t think so, that ***** never want one. If she ever want kid as she has been saying for the last 10 yrs. , she and Brad was already living together for 2 yrs. before tying the knot , she was 31 when they get married, 31 is not old but not young either, if she desperately want children and start a family, she should have one while legally married to Brad while she was in her early 30’s.
I think she con Brad into legality of their relation by promisng kids and family. she loved herself and career more than Brad.
This movie is going to be awesome.

ITA, but Angie proved it is possible to do BOTH, or all of the above. Love yourself, love your job, and love Brad and the family. Angie do them all in FIRST CLASS. This is what kills the JenHens.
Wow.
BTW 2009 will mark the Year Four of the Jolie-Pitts, booting off Aniston’s so-called BUSINESS MERGER 4-yr ‘marriage’.
The trailer brought tears to my eyes. It is a powerful movie. Angie, John and Clint! Wow!! The guy playing LAPD is a good actor also. As for awards, I will not even go there - will just wait and see. I was so disappointed last year for she was outstanding in AMH. So I will not focus on awards but on performance and Angie is defin. in the class with the great actors of the past and present. Clint E. said it himself.
This will be a really good movie and will make people want to research this story.
AMH stirred my interest in the middle east and I have read many novels about that part of the world. Now this movie will stir my interest also. That is what I like about Angie and Brad now. They have grown in to actors who look for specific roles to plaly or directors to act with. I see maturity in their skills which I do not see in Jen’s. Sorry, she does not have it.
Brad and Angie are special. That is why we love them. They walk the walk and talk the talk!
Many times politics are involved with awards. Brad and Angie keep knocking at the door (as Denzel did). Eventually the door will have to open.
As for the triangle, home wecker and other s**t, That is so old and needs to die. Why is it continually brought up after all these years. Couples break up every day in HW. No one focus on it any longer. I feel sorry for those fans that can not move on. They are riding a dead horse, get off and get a new one. Pray that your Jen will find new love. Boy she has had sex with a lot of guys!
I WANT MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SON!
It´s the first time I see Jolie looking convincingly vulnerable… and she is great! I think that she can show what a good actress she is at last because she walked away from the roles that depict her as a very strong woman. Even in “A mighty heart” she had a strenght that made it difficult for an ordinary woman to feel a connection with her. This trailer looks amazing and I look forward to seeing the movie.

Wow…..gave me goosebumps…another award-wining performance by Angelina! Love you Angie!!! God bless you and your family!
This movie looks absolutely stunning. The cinematography in the trailer is magnificent. Can’t wait to see AJ, Clint and Malkovich! Three really great artists and actors.
All that matters to me is that she has won an oscar already, she has the respect of Hollywood powerhouses (like De Niro, Eastwood, Hoffman, Denzel, Malkovitch etc) gave the film an standing ovation of 10 minutes at Cannes, everyone says nice things about her..
I could clean my big fat A$$ with what the haters are saying….
She is a versatile actress.
Angie is just too much too gorgeous, too smart, too good, too loving, too funny, too aware of the world around her, too compassionate, too honest, too energetic…that is why so many people hate her, they cannot stand that after all the problems that she went through and everything bad that the press says about her, she is probably one of the few fortunate women in the world that has a real life Cinderella kind of story.
Angie can play any movie role with flying colours…she is an amazing actress…very talented with beauty and brains.. Angie is the only actress in hollywood who can handle her roles like no others..VIVA BRANGELINA
OMG. Angie is such a great actress!
Tks JJ for a new thread. I’ts been a while. Surely miss the JP’s. At first I did not recognize the voice. Of course I will see the movie…always the first day. So JP fans pls support them.

Thanks for the vid - that “snort” is too funny. Can’t wait to see the movie. How are you doing? Haven’t talked with you in forever - how’s Happy? Any vacay pixs to share?
WOW! THis looks like a fabulous movie. I have been waiting for the Changeling since the first photos were shown here seems so long ago now. Angie is playing a mother and recently when she was talking about this role she said the way she treats the boy or her son in this movie is alot like the way she is with her own boys.
Sounds really good.
Angie is a great actress taking her roles almost upon herself.
This could easily be another oscar for our gal .
Its also a true story and with Clint Eastood as the director WOW!this looks like one of the most exciting films another one for Ang. Full of drama raw emotions and intrique with Angie at the helm.
Yes Angie does sound different remarkably slight . How versatile for an actress to be able to do that.. I have seen a number of Angies roles where she changes her accent and always liked the way she rolls her tounge to change her speech style. Mariane Peals accent was a tough one and Angie mastered that one really well.
I will be there with bells on to see this film as well as Brads BAR comedy as well.
What a great yr full of red carpet events we have ahead with the most famous couple in Hollywood.
Keep Rocking Angie and Brad !

Breakouts and fakeouts at Toronto film fest
Fri Sep 12, 2008 6:20am BST
By Steven Zeitchik and Borys Kit
TORONTO (Hollywood Reporter) - It was a week of wrestling and slumdogging at the Toronto International Film Festival, and Che Guevara joined the video-on-demand revolution.
The festival, like most others, featured films that came in loudly and went out quietly (see “The Burning Plain,” “The Other Man” and “Management”). But the movies and companies that did stand out tended to do so brightly — from Danny Boyle’s romance-action hybrid “Slumdog Millionaire” to instant Oscar contender “The Wrestler” to IFC’s coup, as it were, in picking up “Che.”
As the festival ends Saturday, some trends, winners, losers and momentum-gatherers have come into focus:
http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/movies/28250709.html?page=2&c=y
CHAD
Then there’s Chad, a sweet-spirited dimwit so far out of his depth you’d need sonar to find him. Chad is a fist-pumping, jive-dancing iPod accessory, a perpetual motion machine in spandex bike shorts. He is a creature of simple, childlike enthusiasms. He helps Linda shake down Cox because she’s his friend and it’s fun at first. When he gets Cox on the phone, he bursts into the gaping grin of a grade-schooler pulling his first prank call. And when Linda insists he wear a suit to their ransom meeting, he groans like a kid being forced into scratchy woolen church pants.

Hits, misses and fakes at Toronto Film
Toronto fest starts loud, ends quietly
Still, ‘Slumdog,’ ‘Millionaire’ and ‘Che’ shine
By Steven Zeitchik and Borys Kit
Sept 12, 2008, 01:00 AM ET
“Che” was one of the few bright lights at the Toronto International Film Festival.
TORONTO — It was a week of wrestling, slumdogging and Che Guevara joining the VOD revolution.
The Toronto International Film Festival, like most fests, featured films that came in loudly and went out quietly (see “The Burning Plain,” “The Other Man” and “Management”). But the movies and companies that did stand out tended to do so brightly — from Danny Boyle’s romance-action hybrid “Slumdog Millionaire” to instant Oscar contender “The Wrestler” to IFC’s coup, as it were, in picking up “Che.” As the fest ends Saturday, some trends, winners, losers and momentum-gatherers have come into focus:
– Star births. With the fest’s high number of prestige films and many opportunities to rub elbows with the media, working actors often are transformed into bona fide stars at Toronto. This year, there were three breakouts: Mickey Rourke, Mickey Rourke and Mickey Rourke. But some other actors managed to grab the limelight and/or awards talk, including Sally Hawkins (”Happy-Go-Lucky”), Martin Landau (”Lovely, Still”), Jeremy Renner (”The Hurt Locker”) and Christian McKay (”Me and Orson Welles”). Anne Hathaway, already something of a marquee name, bolstered her indie cred with “Rachel Getting Married.” And, of course, there was Rourke in “The Wrestler.”
– Celebrity heaven. Neither film has sold yet, but look for two of the bigger stories coming out of the fest to be the Lebron James hoops docu “More Than a Game” and “Paris, Not France,” a character study — and defense of — Paris Hilton. Both movies should get a tidy sale and will reap plenty of media even months from now. “It tells you everything you need to know about where we are right now as a culture,” said William Morris Independent’s Cassian Elwes, who’s repping “Paris.” “These movies are right in the dead center of that culture.”
– Sales agent men. CAA had two of the bigger sales of the fest with “Wrestler” and “Hurt Locker,” accounting for $5 million-$6 million in business. One of the agency’s chief competitors, Cinetic, was quieter; it didn’t pull off midfest sales of big titles “Me and Orson Welles,” “Is There Anybody There?” and “Gigantic,” though “Welles” played strongly and likely will entice a buyer.
– Company stew. It was again a tale of two fests for acquisition companies. the biggest winners were Fox Searchlight, which landed the big fish in “Wrestler”; IFC, which had good buzz for its Cannes pickup “Hunger” and scored the media story of the fest with “Che,” which it will play simultaneously in theaters and on VOD as part of IFC in Theaters program; and Summit, which paid something in the $1.5 million range for “Hurt Locker,” a rare fest movie that could play broadly commercial.
Most surprising: Lionsgate and Overture — which was the story of last year’s fest when it grabbed “The Visitor” — looked hard for films but made no buys. Most telling: Paramount’s Vantage label and embattled ThinkFilm, both in flux, were silent.
– Boxoffice bonanza. Every year Toronto helps turn a movie that arrives with some buzz into a potential megahit. Two years ago, it was “Borat.” Last year, it was “Juno.” This year it probably will be yet another Fox product, “Slumdog.” But as Searchlight preps for a November release, it will feel the pressure. The company is so good at launching successful platform releases that the industry will be disappointed if “Slumdog” doesn’t turn into a crossover hit.
– Windless sales, flying prices. Toronto is rarely a brisk market. But the fact that there were only two sales off of premieres — among a field that was considered strong — had some sellers shaking their heads. But buyers say the deals will happen — they’ll just take a little longer as producers lower their prices and expectations. “It’s like an owner selling his house during the mortgage crisis,” says one acquisition exec. “He wants to sell it for top dollar, and it takes a little while for him to realize that he’s going to need to bring down the price to reflect its value in the market.”

UK Release of Changeling
Changeling Trailer Goes Live
First promo for Eastwood’s latest
Source: Yahoo! Movies
Changeling Trailer Goes Live
The debut trailer for the Clint Eastwood-directed thriller, Changeling, has made its way on to Yahoo! Movies. Click here to take a gander in glorious hi-def.
Existing somewhere between L.A. Confidential and Flightplan, Changeling tells the based-on-true-events tale of Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie), a single mum living in 1920’s Los Angeles whose young son goes missing one day. Months later, the police find the boy and return him to his mother’s loving arms - but the problem is, he’s not her son…
A case that rocked California’s legal system and uncovered the institutionalised corruption that was eating away at the prohibition-era LA police department, this is prime directorial fodder for Eastwood - a man who is no stranger to cinematic hunts for justice.
The movie, which also co-stars John Malkovich, Colm Feore and Amy Ryan, opens in the UK on November 28.

Hello,
Neleh, AG, Guli, Jill, Snowblood, anoble and everyone else I am forgetting …

OOPsThank You Jared. Great thread.
bdj
..Thanks to you as well. You always bring the most facinating articles to the bd. Noted and very appreciated.
We count on you for bringing the articles noone else can find.
Great reads!
As i told yesterday,it is a must see film. I’m glad she is getting great reviews for her role.
I have stopped answering trip poster, she is a hater and she doesn’t hide it. Well I just have learned to ignore her posts just like cook poster. So i hope fans won’t answer to her or quote her,so i won’t have to read her posts in other people/fans’ posts. Thank you. Let her talk to herself .
And yet again, thanks bdj for all your articles about Brad’s new film,i’m going to watch this movie this weekend with my friends.
I can’t wait to see Angie and hopefully Brad on the red carpet 4th of Oct in NYF.

I noticed that very emotional scene where Angie screams “I want my son back!!! was the day Brad came to visit her on the set. Here’s the photo from Jared’s archives.

Sorry…didn’t finish before I hit the submit button. I think it’s very sweet and touching that Brad visited Angie on the day she had to give such a gut-wrenching performance.

As the tabloid industry wonders whether its readership has really plateaued or is just going into hibernation during the economic meltdown, publishers have their hands on some pretty concrete evidence. At Life & Style, the Bauer pub has learned that at least for now, America doesn’t care if there’s a TomKat v. Brangelina war going on; the issue bombed. In maybe! related! news!, editor Donna Armstrong isn’t expected back after maternity leave. And as for mixing celebrity and politics — readers are saying, “Yes please.” Us Weekly’s Sarah Palin attack issue held the circulation status quo, while People’s Palin-sympathetic cover moved an estimated 1.75 million copies (compared to its usual 1.45m); which lends evidence this week’s McCain family cover will also do well. And the week after, a special double issue with McCain on one side and Palin on the other!
good girl miss P.T…..thanks for slamming the troll!

Hi to the poster at her in laws, glad you could get to the library hope you can go home soon. Hi to anyone I missed, bdj as always thanks for news, reviews etc have a good evening everyone.

LOL. Glad to hear the Bauer rags’ ship continues taking on water. The Tomkat vs. Brangie cover bombing explains why this week they decided to split them up - negative B/A story on L&S, negative TomKat story on OuttaTouch. Turns out Certs isn’t 2 mints in one after all.
BTW - Speaking of the tabs -
Lamey is undoubtedly sitting in her Toronto hotel room pinching herself. All her dreams have come true. In this week’s US Lies Weakly Janice Min gives Lamey her 2 seconds of fame. In their story on the NON-MEETING between Brad and X they credit Lamey’s blog as their source for info that BPWB (Matt Felker) went to dinner with X and her misManagement castmates at TIFF. You know how Lamey reveres Janice Min. I bet she ran out and bought 100 copies of the issue and laminates them all…

ROTFL. And thrusting her iced nipples forward…
Burn After Reading was funny as hell, Brad was hysterical. The room was sort of quiet at the beginning of the movie when the story was setting up, but he got a huge laugh as soon as he came on the screen. All his scenes were funny and got some of the biggest laughs. I thought Brad’s two funniest scenes were when he first calls Osborne Cox and the one in the car, he was hilarious. I think I remember Brad saying he only had one scene with George Clooney but it’s pretty important. George’s character was kind of boring at the beginning but he’s really funny from about the middle of the movie to the end. I’m not really a GC fan but he made me laugh. Just my opinion, go see the movie you won’t be disappointed. As to what was going on, to quote the two CIA officials, “Jesus what a clusterf*ck!” LOL. I loved it. Later…

there were no people at BAR’s premiere . its a flop exclusive!
Hi there, NLAL!!!! Kumusta ka na!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the info, I so seldom go to JJB, so I haven’t seen her posts. I like JJB, but sometimes the big pictures which get repeated over and over get tiresome for me, and use up so much memory in my computer, especially when I use the blackberry.
Pero, alam mo, si Tita, matagal na ring hindi nagpopost. Okay kaya siya? I think I will email her.
shes getting and oscar for that

So I will see kung malakas ang loob ko na manood mag-isa. Ito ang hirap ng single girl, walang kasamang manood kung hindi type ng kapatid ang sine.
OT - FOR BRISEIS
My two favorite actresses are being praised this year (Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet) and only one of them is going to get the Academy Award.

=================================
That was the first time I saw the video you posted. Is she really like that, I mean, the way she answered the questions of the interviewer. It’s so annoying to watch & hear her during the conduct of the interview and at BBC at that! I was wondering, English is her first language, yet she couldn’t utter the right words in a sentence. Very “amateurish” way of a response. Her choice of words has left me thinking if she’s ok in that moment. I don’t mean that she has to answer with impressive words but I was expecting even with just simple sentence she can get her message across. However, she couldn’t even make a good sentence. If only for this interview, I won’t be convinced to watch her movie if I am regular moviegoer. So far, she is is the worst celebrity (in answering questions) in Hollywood I’ve ever heard!…. She’s so “painful” and agonizing to look at & hear what comes from her mouth!
Just watched BAR. The movie is sooooooooo funny. Brad is hilarious. He is the funniest in the movie. The movie is definitely a must see.
It is funny to me how anyone who has a an issue with this woman is labeled as hater or jealous, No one beyond the third grade is remotely jealous of this couple. Does anyone actually believe that the backlash against this duo is fueled by envy? They are actors in the industry far more talented and attractive than Pitt or Jolie. The motivating or operative emotion this under talented and over exposed couple is so adroit at eliciting is DISGUST. The problem is the self-aggrandizement and hypocrisy. Angelina is a joke and a complete spin artist. She paints herself as a humanitarian. Good gosh, the woman does not even have friends or like people!!! For Angelina Jolie, it’s all about the photo-op, the lack of ability to have real intimate relationships, the flight from chronic boredom, and the attention seeking/adrenaline fix. She is one of the most duplicitous people around. Jolie never takes personal responsibility for any of her “actions”; things “just happen” or “life just develops in away” all the time for the perpetually stunned at how her life turned out Jolie. Exactly how many humanitarians don’t speak to a parent? How humane and generous is it to adopt so many children so quickly and then proceed to drag them all over the world preventing them from having stability and routine? Everything this woman does - who by the way- has officially been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder- is ALL ABOUT HER. Brad Pitt is just a vapid, unsophisticated, spineless, and intellectually limited chameleon and mediocre actor who is aging quite poorly.

Here’s some quotes from a user at AwardsDailyForums who saw the film at Cannes:

OMG Don’t! You really are going to regret saying that.
Jolie is ten times baitier in Changeling than the actual trailer lets it show. It is THE role of her life. I am not fond of the film as a whole but I kept saying to myself throughout the WHOLE projection, this girl is so winning an Oscar for that one. Seriously.

Whether I, we, you… like it or not, Jolie gave one of the baitiest Oscar performances ever in Changeling. She is going to be extremely hard to top this year. Also, she would have CRASHED Cotillard, had it been the same year.

Speaking of people huffing dirty gym socks…
first.
here is WHAT wrong your comment:
1.) Does anyone feel the backlash against this couple is foueld by envy? well if you take notice of those bashing them, we’ve got so far, a very fat lady(Rosanne Barr) with a tendency to liar about abuse, a very botozed beyond recognition lady(Joan Rivers) and the fanistons(for obvious reason). ONE THING ALL THESE LADIES AND FANISTONS have in common is well.er…jalously much. Why so? because look at the fat and botox involved
2.) DIGUST? what is disgusting with a soon to be 45 year old man wanting to be a father of not one but 6-7 kids before his time come. Many men have dreams of having kids but NOT MANY OF THEM HAVE TO BEG for them. I see nothing disgusting with what Brad Pitt did. All he wanted a a meaningful life .i.e. kids and less focus on his Hollyweird lifestyle. He took a chance and went for it(what he really want in life and he now he got it. What is disgusting about that? What is disgusting with a woman who decided to scale back on her career..doing one to two movies a year in order to be there for her kids and do her Charity work. If anything, she is demostrating to all that ONE CAN HAVE FAMILY AND WORK AT THE SAME TIME. Jenjen could take a page outta that, don’t you think.
3.) LACK OF FRIENDS? - Says who? a little birdy in your brain. Methinks so. Next
4.) BORDERLINE DISORDER - HELLA funny. If Borderline disorder brings this much success in ones life like it is doing for Jolie thus far, someone please manufacture this for the masses out there, They could need a how to be borderlinelikejolie and you too can become a great actress and do alot of things successfully. For starter, Jenjen could use the pill just to ante up her acting skill and also learn to manage a career and family together.
I could go on with the rest but I think you need just cracked. Shouldn’t have clicked on that clip. Actually, come to think of it, your comments do reak of ENVY. Funny how you started off talking envy only to come as..gasp..envious.
some body is really hurting and that person is named overexposed and stupid, actually, jen is that you? i certainly understand, it would be hard for be too, if i’d lied to my husband for years ( the sexiest man alive mind you) and he finally got fed up and left me and oh my! he upgraded a millions times better, everything they touch turns to gold and oh yeah, those children that was on the way your entire marriage, what was it 6 yrs? well he got them in 3, while you, well, lets see, been bumping uglies with everything but the kitchen sink, no telling what disease you got along the way, and you have been dumped by every man that pick your ugly dizzy self up, but hey, you are a grown women with children for fans, so there is something to be happy about, but you just won’t go away, my question is why? you have lost the game, go get drunk or something, i feel your pain. good luck with that.
In a more traditional way, Searchlight’s $4 million “The Wrestler” buy proved the talk of the fest. Darren Aronofsky returned to the inner circle of hot directors, and star Mickey Rourke vaulted into kudos consideration decades after he was a mainstay in the film biz.
Summit’s acquisition of Kathryn Bigelow’s well-received Iraq-set thriller “The Hurt Locker” for $1.2 million plus a commitment to a wide release also sparked speculation. Summit emphasized its universal qualities and said it wouldn’t encounter the resistance that has doomed most Iraq War films.
Some big titles remained unclaimed by the festival’s end, among them the Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy “Management,” which producer Sidney Kimmel reacquired from original distrib MGM, and LeBron James basketball doc “More Than a Game.”

My two favorite actresses are being praised this year (Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet) and only one of them is going to get the Academy Award.
And that goes to…
Kate Winslet.

Wake me when it’s over. It’s lame, stilted, trite, lifeless and most importantly BORING. You know how you can tell this is a bad movie? It’s coming out the same day as Valkyrie. That’s too bad. I like Kate Winslet. Leo looks stupid though. Between this trailer and “Body of Lies”…I don’t know which one was worse…

I guess the movie is just so bad that even if she had gone commando a la Britney, she still WOULDN’T manage to get a distributor. That is why she did say even if the movie sucked or bombed, or words to that effect. She did know it wouldn’t sell so she was already lowering the expectations for it.

Here’s some quotes from a user at AwardsDailyForums who saw the film at Cannes:
——————————————————————————–
OMG Don’t! You really are going to regret saying that.
Jolie is ten times baitier in Changeling than the actual trailer lets it show. It is THE role of her life. I am not fond of the film as a whole but I kept saying to myself throughout the WHOLE projection, this girl is so winning an Oscar for that one. Seriously.
——————————————————————————–
——————————————————————————–
Whether I, we, you… like it or not, Jolie gave one of the baitiest Oscar performances ever in Changeling. She is going to be extremely hard to top this year. Also, she would have CRASHED Cotillard, had it been the same year.

Thanks for the info. I’m assuming the person who saws the film at Cannes is NOT a native English speaker! “Baitiest” and “Crashed”? “Baitiest”, as in a role written as Oscar bait, could be what he meant to write, but I think “crashed” is supposed to be “crUshed”. LOL!

Let’s see you are here on page 12, #330, having read all the comments and this asinine rant is the best you can come up with? LOL.
You and your fellow trolls are the most ignorant illogical totally irrational FF hags. You come here and spew cra* about people you do not know, regurgitating lies from tabs as if truth for no reason what so ever. Your rant exposes the vile character of your being. You and the language you employ to describe good people are the main cause of people disliking she who will not be named and shun her terrible movie efforts. She who will not be named has had her mask removed by her desperate man chasing actions and she is no Rachel Green to many anymore. If that was your aim and goal you have succeeded beyond your expectations. Give your self a pat on the back.
This thread is about a movie trailer, period.
Take your rants and find a thread to support she who will not be named whose movie Management did not sell at Toronto, she who is movie poison, and she who has now reverted back to her natural habitat, the TV sitcom, which is exactly where she belongs.

“Reacquired”, huh? You know what that means in plain English? That MGM had first option on it and passed on distributing it. O-U-C-H! This is the future of X’s production company. Someone may spring $20-30MIL so she can make the movie…and then when the results are less than stellar, they pass on their option to distribute, the producers then have to go the Festival route to see if another distributor will purchase the movie as a theatrical release. When no one does, then they’ll seek a straight-to-dvd deal. X should have taken our advice and signed a production deal with Lifetime instead of a major studio.
Valkyrie comes out the day after Christmas. Valkyrie and Rendition Road will “CRUSH!” Buttons ass. hooohooo

PT, do you know where to find the production numbers on Mismget? I note that it has not received any reviews from critics in TIFF - at least, none listed in rottentomatoes.
Incidentally, BAR has a 77% approval rating off over 100 reviews. Deniro’s and Pacino’s movie has only 23% approval.

The main feature of borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a pervasive pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image and emotions.
This disorder occurs in most by early adulthood. The instable pattern of interacting with others has persisted for years and is usually closely related to the person’s self-image and early social interactions. The pattern is present in a variety of settings (e.g., not just at work or home) and often is accompanied by a similar lability (fluctuating back and forth, sometimes in a quick manner) in a person’s emotions and feelings. Relationships and the person’s emotion may often be characterized as being shallow
A person with this disorder will also often exhibit impulsive behaviors and have a majority of the following symptoms:
Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)
A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)
Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)
Chronic feelings of emptiness
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)
Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger)
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)
Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms
(Brad was never yours and never ever would be yours)

Looks good. It doesn’t matter if this is Oscar material or not. Angelina already has one and doesn’t need another one to prove anything. It would be nice and all but she’s been there, done that! She picks and chooses movies she wants to do. Once they are done…it’s next! She’s an artist.

And Brad has movies coming out next year directed by masters, TMalick and QT. Brad is also producing movie after movie.
And TC is in what directed by whom? And TC is producing what ?
NOTHING AND NOTHING!!!
You are a joke!!
Felinelilly @ 09/12/2008 at 7:06 pm
I loved it. Later…
Hi cook, anoble, Neleh and everyone posting. I’m off.
—————————————————————
Thanks for the review, Feline. I can’t wait to see this movie.
Saw BAR…OMG Brad was hilarious and adorable….he also lies..because I bet Angie probably f*cked ‘Chad’ til he cried. Hahahaha. I wonder if Brad was dancing like that at home and that’s why Angie said Z would scream when he danced, and not in a good way. bahaha. Oh and GC was terrific as well, he gets short shrift because Brad is so damned funny, but he’s hilarious too..
Sometimes Defamer really cracks me up…

Defamer Fall Movie Preview,
Oscar-Winner Brad Pitt, Resurgent Weinsteins and 9 Other Bold Predictions For Fall Movie Hell
Our office’s crystal ball usually tends to function best on Fridays — and even then, as we handicap new releases in our Defamer Attractions column, it can be a tad hinky. But after a few weeks of painstaking inquiry, we think we now have a handle on some of the fall movie slate’s biggest revelations to come. Will Brad Pitt backward-age his way to Oscar immortality? Is Twilight really the best investment for your vampire-movie dollars? Can Beverly Hills Chihuahua live up to its exceptional promise? Follow the jump for answers to those and a few of the season’s other pressing questions. Feel free to scan your own tea leaves as well; our own oracle shuddered and crapped out the minute we asked about Australia, so any and all input is welcome. Onward!
1. Brad Pitt will win an Academy Award. We know the post-Toronto establishment has all but engraved Mickey Rourke’s name on this year’s Best Actor Oscar (hell, even Rourke has engraved his name on this year’s Best Actor Oscar), but taking both The Wrestler (release date TBD) and Pitt’s epic The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (12/25) sight unseen, we’ll take the aging-backward-on-other-people’s-bodies gimmick over the gritty indie comeback 10 times out of 10. Not that it won’t be close: Brad Grey will spend more on his old pal’s campaign than Fox Searchlight is probably ready to drop on Rourke’s, but Rourke will be the more accessible nominee to the media. Look for dark horse Sean Penn (Milk) to split the field late; Focus Features won’t settle for another 0-fer in ‘08.
…and now the thing that cracked me up…if you haven’t seen the trailer -www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFLLipJVfWc. If you’re having a bad day…it’ll definitely make you feel better…because once you see this trailer you’ll realize that your life doesn’t suck nearly as much as this movie will….
5. Owen Wilson will emerge from, return to hiding after explaining the trailer to Marley & Me (12/25). That is all.
One more that I agree with…the Bond trailer sucks…
10. Daniel Craig will miss 2006. Casino Royale was a surprising, sporadically brilliant reboot, but the honeymoon is over: Quantum of Solace’s trailer isn’t dazzling anyone; the title is stillborn; Sony couldn’t settle on a US release date (it finally chose 11/14); and unfairly or not, franchise obsessives want nothing to do with new director Marc Forster. And all this after the Bond curse cost Craig part of his finger. It’s a cruel world, but not as cruel as it’ll seem after Defiance (12/12), the WWII Jewish resistance drama in which he and screen bros Liev Schrieber and Jamie Bell fight off Nazis during the invasion of Poland. Among the last of Paramount Vantage’s orphaned prestige titles, and opening opposite Doubt, an expanded Frost/Nixon and The Day the Earth Stood Still, it’s bound to knock Craig back to stardom’s second tier for a while to come.
