Janet Jackson kicks off her concert tour during the first show of her “Rock Witchu” tour at General Motors Place on Wednesday in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It’s her first tour in more than seven years.
“This show is for all the fans,” Janet, 42, has said of her Rock Witchu Tour. “A lot of the kids have told me what they’d like to hear,” she said of a call-in number she set up for fans to leave her message. “I’ve tried to do as much as I possibly can and incorporate it into the show.”

last night janet proved shes still the ****! but only close seats would be able to enjoy the show or just no point in going if you cant take in her memerizing atmosphere. the concert was off the chain and rocked cuz:
the set up and effects was sweet looked like it cost way over a mil, it had sparkles, sparks, rocket noises, bomb noises lol , flames, smoke, 2 big J’s, colored lights, a wide screen video, the whole works!
janets costumes looked fabulous all 10 or 20 of them! very colorful and innovative
janet herself looked like a million bucks and that bangin body and swag of hers is killa people killa! nuf said. janet jackson concert is a must- see, what else could u be doing? go go go! her music and videos might suck but her live performance does it justice. i admit her music is lame but they are really up beat and perfect and good and fun for a concert and for her to perform to and i was dancing the whole time cuz janet and her music is so happy! =) she made my night thanks janet, im not a janet fan but i must say her concert was fierce. i will not buy or listen to her music but i will pay more attention to her performances on tv if it was similar to her concerts status and i will definately attend her next concert which hopefully will be in late 2010!

I’ve got to say - WTF! I think she should have definitely concentrated on the promotion of Discipline through Video’s (special effect/interaction) and then maybe gone forward with a tour - I am a HUGE fan of Janet’s - but I’ve got to say, ever since nipplegate - I don’t know what she’s selling/giving us… I mean, this out fir? GOD - if Britany can make it back, PLEASE give Ms. Janet clarity - I miss HER much!!

Wow.. So much negativity from the haters!!! Janet in my own opinion is the ultimate live entertainer… She’s been copied by too many of todays current artists so don,t hate!!! Janet is a trend setter not a follower I think her look is pretty cool she is thinking out of the box I would be more worried if the haters like it as I would then consider it boring… They are probally people who dress like everyone else and have no originality of their own!!! I just went to Janet’s concert in Oakland California, the show was out of this world! I didn’t sit down one time. She is the best female performer that has and still walks this earth. I’m sooooo glad I spent my money to go see her and I would do it again in a heartbeat. LOVE YOU JANET YOU ROCK!
I just would like 2 say congrats on ur new tour u looked great n id just like 2thank you 4 giving my brother joshua ortiz the opportunity 2 dance with u he is a humbled person n very talented n has always been determined 2 succeed his goal in life n that is his dancing. we all deserve better life but of course we have 2 work hard at .but i just really wanted 2 thank u especially our mother who is ur biggest fan she always played ur music when me n josh were little. thanks again n take care

mila maybe its you who has the bad taste! her concert has a futuristic theme so what! space outfits and hairdo it looked cute! i admit i dont like her feedback video but janet is known for wearing catwoman leather cape looking outfits. she did look her best in 1993 when she had slim tight figure wearing stylish clothes but now shes kickin up a notch and doing something different i think its cool. ppl please accept for janets choice im sure shes doing something right. its funny that the ppl who havent been to her concert are complainging about her looks but the ppl who HAVE been to her concert are talking about her amazing talent and performance and all good feedback…..maybe you should go to her concert first then come back here and talk, it will be a slap in the face cuz she wil prove u otherwise!

I’ve been a janet fan for a long time (I’m 29 yo), I have been fortunate enough to have gone to all of janet’s concert tour’s. With that said, I saw the Rock With U tour in Oakland and I have to agree with the comment left about getting my money back. This latest tour of hers was just awful. Just sad :(
i think most people judge other’s because they wish they were them,it doesnt matter what people say or think of ms janet,cause she is still in control of her life,hater’s will always be who there are,when you can do what ms janet has done in her life then you can talk sh–t,so until you can dance ,sing, and make the money she has then you cant talk,and better yet why dont you hater’s go on your own tour,show the world what you have to offer and leave ms janet along.you have the right to say what you wish,but please know what the hell you are talking about. love her or hate her ,ms janet is the real deal.NOW HOW DOING
I attended Janet’s concert last night in San Diego, CA. It was awsome! I must admit I was not happy with her choice in outfits, and also her Mohawk…it was awful. The choreography was great!! You will not be disappointed.
