Hayden Christensen is a Shooting Range Rookie

A scruffy Hayden Christensen gets in some firearms practice at a shooting range in Santa Clarita Valley in Newhall, Southern California on Friday.

The 27-year-old actor took aim at Oak Tree Gun Club in preparation for his upcoming film Bone Deep.

The crime action film, out in 2009, also stars Paul Walker, Zoe Saldana, Johnathon Schaech, Chris Brown, Jay Hernandez and T.I. Bone Deep tells the story of a group of bank robbers finding their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.

i dont pray for people in hopes of them reciprocating the favor. I see he’s going through something and so I support in the ways i can. I dont care if he knows me or not.

world peace? lol. there cant be such a thing when you have so many different cultures that hate each other. Mankind cannot bring peace, there is always people who kill, rape, abuse, torture. I dont want to get into religion on here so i’ll leave it at that.

@342–radiohead
Check the entertainment reports-SS could not get funding at 130 million for TinTin, so it has been put on the backburner.

This happens alot in Hollywood.

Sorry subject is off topic but just wanted to reply.

#352 SS could get funding if he really wanted to. He also has five projects in pre-production, one being filming and 2 announced. One project on the back burner doesn’t mean a shortage of funding for everyone. Films are still being made. SS might have decided not to pursue this one at this time and that’s why it’s being turntabled, not money issues.

From what I understand FPP had a first look contract with Bauer Martinez that was about $5MM. Nothing was ever done with it. I don’t think Hayden is that interested in doing his own films or it would happened by now. It’s been seven years. It didn’t take Natalie Portman that long to get one out. I also don’t understand why excuses are being made for this guy constantly.

Bauer Martinez got into financial difficulties but before that there was a little criminal trial and investiagion involving Anthony Pelicano where director John McTiernan almost went to jail. Bauer Martinez sued McTiernan for over over $1 million dollars he used to scout Hayden’s film Crash Bandits which was to be co-produced with FPP. It was settled but the film was never made. Forest Park had an 18 month deal and time probably ran out. FPP had already produced Shattered Glass.

isnt FPP producing Beast bataan?

radiohead @ 09/25/2008 at 8:32 am

Is Beast of Bataan indefinitely shelved because 1) the director pulled out suddenly 2) FPPs financing fell through and 3) the option ran out on the script? This film will probably never get made, just like Madison Kid went into the toilet before it and Poker Night before that.
#354 That’s interesting about Bauer Martinez but it has nothing to do with FPP dropping the ball. SG had FPP on the credits but the only things it actually contributed were Hayden as lead actor and Tove as producer…but that was his first producing job and there were 4 other producers on that film. Bauer Martinez had nothing to do with that film.
FPP hasn’t been able to get any of its planned films off the ground and it’s been 7 and a half years. Hayden is still its biggest asset and his value is dropping every day. thanks to Jumper and VT.

wow, did know that. director pulled out?! yikes! hopefully something good will come about

Radiohead you’ll need to give sources for saying the director pulled out of Beast of Bataan and that financing fell through or the option ran out. Did you see it in print somewhere? I don’t find it anywhere.

No, Bauer Martinez didn’t have anything to do with Shattered Glass but your point was that FPP and Hayden hadn’t made a movie. And it doesn’t matter whether FPP was one of the producers. The fact is that they were a producer and have Shattered Glass credited to them. Most indie films have mulitiple producers. So what.

How did FPP drop the ball?

#358. FPP dropped the ball because they had this first look contract and never did one thing with it. Check Variety, I believe there’s a mention that BoB’s director took another project so shooting, which was supposed to start in February, was indefinitely postponed. The option on the script expired at the end of May, also there was the SAG impending strike that slowed everything down that didn’t already have waivers. The option might have been renewed, I don’t know about that. At first it was listed here in IMDB that FPP was also planning to distribute, then this was dropped. I read also that FPP also made some kind of deal with a major studio to distribute a couple months ago. I didn’t read that they were also backing it financially, but I do know that financial backing on films is not forever. Theoretically, if the first director backed out another director could have been secured and shooting could have started anyway instead of being postponed.

But this is all common in hollywood so i dont see it (if it is true) as being failure on FPP part. maybe hayden wants to do his own thing for a bit then work on his company. who knows. we can only speculate =/

radiohead @ 09/25/2008 at 2:50 pm

What do you call it when a production company gets created to produce films, lands a first-look contract from a major house to finance them, and then produces nothing for 8 years for anybody or with anybody? I think you can say it’s missed opportunity at the very least.

Sanity you are right that this is all business as usual in Hollywood and doesn’t mean failure.

Radiohead if you are going to make pronouncements about something you’re the one who needs to put the proper quotes from Variety in your posts so we know it didn’t come to you in a dream or something.

What “major house” are your talking about? Bauer Martinez? I think you need to do more research about them and their track record.

On dh.net, todays post refers to Beast of bataan getting done…check it out. and yes, if you make claims, back them up with links. I do.

heres one:

tell me if this is the same ring on her left finger….cant tell, but we do know she wears gold bands on her left ring finger =)

Beast of Bataan is not getting done until at least this time next year.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/film/fred-schepisis-new-local-venture/2008/04/03/1206851111212.html

Fred Schepisi is doing ‘Last Man’ which is the film he postponed BoB for. He was supposed to start shooting earlier this year but this has been delayed and he might start late this year. That means BoB can’t start up until the final edit is done and it’s getting into release.

Thanks yeech. I had read the same and that it had been postponed. Thanks for posting the link to the information.

I wonder why Hayden is in hiding when he’s supposed to be working on a film. Acting is a public profession. If he doesn’t like people or is that unpopular why is he even working?

Personally I think he should go hom maybe take some acting lessons.

I think he is uncomfortable with the attention given to his love life, that’s why he hides. It can’t be much fun to have questions regarding that instead of his work thrown at him everytime he steps out the door. Rachel only fans the flames with her coy remarks every chance she gets.

Hayden has a very loyal fan base. We support his work even as we question his choices. I hope this film will bring back some of the talent he has shown in the past. Maybe the down time has made him more committed to working on his career.

i hope too BUT, I think rachel has brought him down, he seems distracted and stressed. i wish he could get focused. perhaps when rach goes off to wherever that film is(cant remember) and he goes off and films his movie, he will wake up and realize the mistake he made and perhaps he will be able to focus since that troll wont be attached to his leg.

@359 radiohead–your info comes from Imdb LOL

And the roundabout of lies continue. ROTFLMAO at someone who seeks attention.

@ 364

Thanks for the link with the info yeech. That’s a lot better than just saying BOB has been shelved when there is nothing that says that’s true.

Radiohead, you made a good point about the writer and a possible actor strike affecting movies being made. Right now big productions are very hesitant to go into production even if they have the funding becasue things are still not settled with SAG.

On the other hand Indie movies with smaller budgets are going into production right now. Just the fact that Hayden is a working actor in a time of uncertainty in Hollywood is a sign that he is not a failure or that his career is in the toilet. There are a lot of actor’s who aren’t working at all.

yeah but rachel is still working and she sucks! but again they dont have to pay her much as they would Nat or Jessica alba..lol
everyone is penny pinching these days.

glass door @ 09/27/2008 at 6:06 am

#370 99 percent of actors are unemployed all the time, including a lot better actors than Hayden. Yes filmmakers are nervous about money these days but the industry hasn’t stopped. The days of easy money are over for a while for sure though. Maybe we will get fewer but better quality films instead of the garbage we’ve been getting. Many indies are trash too remember direct-to video VT. Many people can’t believe an actor like Hayden keeps working but finding jobs in Hollywood has nothing to do with talent. It’s all what you look like and who you know. Look at Rachel Bilson, Haydens gf.

what you look like? LOL. no. its who you know. she was born into hollywood. her looks didnt make her famous..LOL

I guess the paps were tipped about hayden being at the gun range. they were there b4 he was..LOL

and the 1st thing the paps mentioned was rachels ring…interesting

you have to remember hollywood is “illusion” they can make you believe anything
