YAY!!! My favorite family in the world.

I love them, but I would like tabloids to leave them in peace sometimes. However this is a beautiful picture of them.

I do so love the Brange. I saw the movie Friday and thought it was really funny. Brad does comedy and weird very well. I saw the second show and everyone in the theater were laughing out loud. We were all laughing pretty much at the same time and parts. There are some shocking surprises. I won’t give anything away for those who have not seen it yet. But be prepared.

Off topic.. I saw some pictures from the movie The Time Traveler Wife..I hope that is the right title. anyway I had heard that Brad’s production company Plan B was producing that movie. If that is the case could someone post and let me know.

Well I am glad about the news of Brad/Angie. This has been a great year for the pair. Hit movies, Twins, and much recognition for their talent and humanitarian works. I am so looking forward to seeing them together in October or late September when Changeling premiers. I hope Angie has taken care of herself. I hope she has kept or put on a few pounds. It would be great to see her in ideal shape. I am a huge fan, but even I recognized that she had lost too much weight. She has had time to heal from her mother’s lost (well heal as much as anyone can when you go through that kind of lose). And the twins I’m sure are thriving and growing. We have not really seen her in about 3 months. Gosh that is a long time. I really need a fix. She and Brad do a Red Carpet like no one else. Just a joy to behold. If some of the Oscar buzz holds up, we have a lot of Red Carpets to see.

Well, I loved the movie, and encourage everyone to check it out. I posted on another thread that it was like a short story…Weird, Funny, Crazy and Strange… Just my kind of movie.

Brads character ‘Chad’ was so indearing to me….

(possible spoiler alert after this point)…

I too noticed that ‘Chad’ was very one dimensional in terms of our knowing anything about his life other than that of the gym and his interest in these personal files found in the gym, but I think this was done on purpose, and to the credit of the film…

Chad’s innocence and sweetness came out in several moments….like when he was sitting down at the counter with Frances character, and she mentioned the liposuction that she couldnt afford unless they successfully got this money for Osborn Cox CD file. Chad puts his arm around her to comfort her…

He also displays sensitivity and innocence when he is on the phone with Osborne Cox. When Mr. Cox gets upset, and Frances character starts yelling at him from the other phone receiver, you get the sense in ‘Chad’s’ expression and demeanor that he never intended to be mean or to upset the guy….he merely wanted to get a reward for the return of the item…

…His mortified expression when Cox starts insulting him over the phone iconveys that he is a person ‘in over his head’, and that he never intended the phone-call to take such a ‘negative’ turn…

Also, during the moment of the scene in the closet when George Clooney’s character finally discovers him hiding….WOW…, the look on ‘Chad’s’ face is almost like it was saying… ‘okaaay…you got me…’ and in those brief seconds…it was so childlike, that what happens next is certainly a jolt to the senses.

I really like what Brad did with the small but integral character CHAD in Burn After Reading, and I’ve already seen the movie TWICE. I love the audience reaction to certain scenes….and again, this movie character exemplifies the theory that Brad is one of the FEW ACTORS who challenges himself in roles that subbordinate his ‘cool’ persona and takes risks that other actors with his power and ‘hunky’ status would NEVER dare make. He is not afraid to make a fool out of himself…and ALL his mannerisms…(including the way he put his hand up to his nose when Malcovitch punched him in the car scene)….were that of an ENTIRELY new character VERY UNLIKE HIMSELF. That takes guts.

…No box office totals, pathetic ex-wife, snarky comments, or taboid lies will every minimize the talent, sensitivity, sexiness, uniqueness, and international awareness Brad Pitt has as an actor and a person in the entertainment industry .

LOVE LOVE LOVE Brad Pitt. He simply rocks.

They’re doing wrap-up analyzing of TIFF, and saying that this festival was considerably less energized and influential as TIFF of old — I found the article interesting.

One of the complaints and what was seen as detrimental, was other festivals like Venice playing too close to Toronto and stealing their thunder, another criticism was that TO failed this year to get more Oscar contenders - films that were mentioned? Clint Eastwood’s The Changeling.

But a discernable amount of energy was missing from the fest this year. Many of the films that drew attention and praise – The Wrestler, The Hurt Locker and Slumdog Millionaire among them – arrived with laurels already bestowed at the Venice and Telluride festivals. I can’t think of a single world premiere that really mattered at TIFF this year. The fest seemed like a giant second-run theatre.

When organizers meet for their annual post mortem, I hope they spend some serious time discussing how to embrace change without abandoning tradition.

When I first saw the clip of Brad Pitt doing that awful dance, it was painful. I tried to flip the channel before my sister saw it, but it was too late. She said, ” Brad Pitt you wrong for dat”. She said Brad was dancing like something was biting him. I am going to see the movie because any man who can laugh at himself is alright with me and Brad knows that he can do that because his loyal fans will still appreciate his work.

queen bee I love your post about BAR. I was thinking that Chad is the only one in the movie who is not cheating, lying, greedy, trying to hurt anyone else. He wanted a reward for returning the disc. He wasn’t trying to blackmail Cox. That was Francis’ idea.

As I said in a prior post he didn’t seem to be involved with anyone emotionally except Francis’ character and that was platonic. Exercising was his love. He really didn’t seem obess with his body. He wasn’t flexing and doing power moves and all that. He just love the idea of exercising, of being fit. But he liked helping other to get there also.

The more I think about it, the more I like this character and how Brad played. Brad brought a gentleness to Chad. I don’t think he is stupid or dumb as much as he is a man/child. He is the innocent in the middle of corruption not knowing or truly understanding where he is and what to do about it. I will see it again. This is a brilliant performance. Peace

I think Brad became better in comedy now that he is with Angie compared to when he was with his comedian wife then, whe he guested in X Friends show. I thought he was bad in that guesting, you can tell he was coached by X.

I think Brad was at his low ,professionally when he was with Aniston. He started really well with the Fight Club when he just started his relationship with her, but really did bad afterwards in most of his movies, until he met Angelina in MaMS.

Now it seems Brad has been churning out good roles and good acting from TAOJJ, BAR, TCCOBB, and im sure in Tree of Life. I really think its Angie’s influence!

Dianad, bella - I had a long post I wrote in response to you regarding the Celebitchy fiasco, and it got lost when I tried to submit it in the previous thread. Basically, I was sharing with you how badly the woman who runs that place - the eponymously named Celebitchy - slandered my good internet name by making false accusations against me, publically, regarding my identity, refusing to even speak to me once privately, throwing away all my e-mails to her, and then banning not only me, but my very name (Snowblood) from being mentioned at her site. Over 20 friends of mine from all over the world visited Celebitchy just one time, merely to post comments in support of and defense and validation of me, but Celebitchy did not let one single one of those comment-posts publish. She threw them all away into her spam-box.

She (Celebitchy herself) is a hardcore jenHen, so that had somehting to do with her cruel and undeservedly unfair treatment of me there, and it WAS cruel, it hurt my feelins so very, very badly. What a cowardly little b*tch she is, that Katie/Celebitchy. It would be awesome , Dianad, if you mentioned me, if you go there again to the Jolie-Pitt threads, just mention me and say “Hi” to the BADettes I used to have so much fun chatting with until that c*nt Celebitchy banned me for sticking up for myself when I got inundated with swarms of prissy, c*nty JenHens in that Tim Gunn/Anniston thread.

Oh, and Dianad, I feel you regarding the RAN woman, I got into it with her once before, too. And even after I apologised to her for my part in our minor fight, RAN was the very FIRST person there to pipe up and gleefully lick Celebitchy’s as* and be all “fascinated” when Celebitchy claimed I was not who I am. To follow up on my own post…

Aside from the Angie mention…there’s a scene where House made a bet with Foreman with the stakes being that if House was right, then Foreman would take his clinic hours for a week. So natch House is right and Foreman has to do his clinic hours, so he gives Foreman his name badge to wear so the patients will think they’re seeing Dr. House and Cuddy won’t ream him out for bailing on his clinic hours again. So Foreman walks in to see the patient…she turns around…and I damned near fell out fo my chair laughing. Who’s playing the patient? Oh well…it was just one of X’s Goddess Circle - Andrea Bendewald, who’s a two-bit actress and mostly does small roles on episodic tv shows! LOL! Too freaking funny. This was AFTER the Angie mention, so if this chick read the full script, then she undoubtedly saw the Angie mention! Hehehehehehehehehe…

Am watching the new HBO series TrueBlood about Vampires, which is set in the Louisiana backwaters, it’s GREAT by the way (in the trueblood world, vampires are second class citizens seeking equal rights, who live among us - the main story is about Sookie and Bill, a romance between a seer and a vampire) — and while not an Angelina ‘mention,’ a ‘tabloid,’ like magazine is seen on the table in the home of one of the main characters, and it blares ‘Angelina adopts Vampire Baby.’ Grrrr. lol but funny. In this show, the Vampires are sympathetic characters - some aren’t, and they have been treated horribly throughout time (metaphor for racism, sexism, etc). The ‘good’ humans want to stop the injustice, while everyone else is terrified of them. (So I think it was kind of neat, that they’d have Angie adopting one.) LOL Sookie (anna paquin) has fallen in love with Bill, a gallant 153 yr old vampire who is hot as hell, looks like jason statham with hair. lolol

Actually I agree with you. Sometimes when Angie has said something
that was, imo, not necessary I think, oops, I wish you didn’t say that.
I bet his family, and even Brad sometimes feels that way too, but that is what makes her who she is.
Brad calls her his other half, his family knows that Angie has made Brad a happy family man, and she remains our favorite.
Some people call others trolls way too quickly. I wouldn’t worry about it.

In her Vogue 2006 interview, she said she told Brad that she was worried doing the interview, because she was not accustomed speaking for someone else, as she is always candid. She said Brad told her not to worry, and to do as she always did, to just be herself.

“I think I would say that the dynamic on this whole film was just really light, and very professional,” Malkovich says. “They’re very calm, and their calm, I think, ensures that they’re really attentive, because they’re not neurotic, they’re not panic mongers, and they know how to have fun.

“And that’s such a good thing. You can find a lot of sympathy for directors who well understand why it isn’t fun - there’s an enormous amount of pressure, films are so expensive to make, it’s an incredible workload, a series of decisions, of options, of rejections, problems, questions. What makes “Burn After Reading” so deliciously entertaining is the way each of the A-list actors (Pitt, Swinton, John Malkovish, McDormand and George Clooney) inhabit their roles so completely, with so much gusto they never come across as characters in a movie. These are people we could conceivably see on the street, with all accompanying foibles and eccentricities. Take Pitt, for example. Normally a dramatic actor, here he morphs into a man child, snapping gum, rocking out to his iPod and obsessed with his body. Pitt doesn´t need to utter a word to completely form the character in front of our eyes.

Cliniqua Jennifer Anniston was at an Obama fundraiser and was photographed with Morgan Freeman, so now she can’t endorse him. I’m supprised no one remembers this but me.

Last year Angelina and Jennifer shared the most powerful actress title. And Tom Cruise was the most powerful actor. This year, Aniston and Cruise were dropped for Angelina and Brad.

The guinness records data were based on Forbes Mag list I think but like 1-2 years behind, coz I think in 2006 both Angelina and Aniston were no 35 in Forbes Most powerful celeb. Then in 2007, Angelina went up to No.14 and Aniston went down to No. 45, in 2008, Angie is no. 3 and Jennifer is no. 17, I think. Angie totally deserves to be way up there, but I dont know Aniston is even considered powerful, when she doesnt get the most coveted roles in HW and gets to do all those crappy rom-coms.

I am reading about the crisis at Lehman Bros, and this is very scary. On the news tonight, they showed the employees moving out their personal belongings looking shell-shocked.

I worked at an Investment bank for 12 years, and was given a buy-out after 911. It took me about 18 months before I could find a decent job again, and although i desperately wanted to work in the financial district again, I had to settle for a job in financial aid office of a propriety college. I am kind of happy I did now, because all of my friends who are working in banks or brokerage houses are on tenterhooks, not knowing what the future holds. Although with the economy the way it is now, no one is safe.

Also, there is a rumour that Merrill Lynch might be bought by Bank of America, which will mean more lay-offs. This is a global crisis, and very unsettling.

Hugh Laurie IS the show. I think that’s why he gets so stressed out and he’s been battling some depression because he’s here in the US by himself and his family is back in England. (He’s faking the accent - he’s British.) The success of the show rides on his ability to pull off House’s irreverance without making the character completely unlikeable. The producers realize he’s what makes the show work and they just gave him a hefty raise, which he didn’t even ask for, to reward him for making the show so successful. You don’t see THAT a lot in HW. Usually actors have to do like Lost & Grey’s where they threaten to hold out for more money.

The shows they’ve been doing on USA have mostly been from seasons 1 & 2, in no particular order on the weekends, but during the week they’re running sequentially. As the show went on the other characters do get more developed, but again, it’s all in relation to House. Cameron gets over her crush, Foreman realizes he’s BECOMING House and doesn’t like himself, Chase stops sucking up so much, Cuddy actually gets the upper hand occasionally…and Wilson can actually tell House “No” and mean it. House is less able to manipulate the other characters and out of that they all get a little more interesting and the 3 fellows all quit.

In the 4th season the 3 fellows are only sparesly used and House has a whole slew of fellow candidates to play off. At that point character development is pretty much retarded because of the writer’s strike, but supposedly they’re going to shake things up a bit this year when they bring Chase, Cameron and Foreman back full-time. We’ll see.

Oh yeah - the seizures thing…my theory is that it’s for dramatic affect. Like I said, these are mostly season 1 & 2 shows and they were feeling their way trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. The seizures scenes decreased in later years. The shows only been on 4 years, so I was surprised to see it in syndication already. However USA Network is owned by the company that produces the show - NBC Universal…but the show airs on FOX. I’m still trying to figure out why that is. NBC doesn’t have many good shows right now, so why would they produce a Grade A, Emmy & Golden Globe award winning drama for another network? That makes no sense to me.

But how’s this for a laugh: An honest to goodness Marvel spin-off might actually one day make it to the big-screen before the Coen Brother’s film, given that, well, nobody’s actually MAKING “Gambit,” supposedly attached star Colin Firth revealed.

“No! It’s a complete lie. It’s been on . and just sitting there,” Firth said of his rumored involvement. “The Coen brothers have written an absolutely brilliant script.”

For whatever reason, and despite the fact that the Coen Brothers are about as hot as possible right now with a recent Best Picture winner under their belt, nobody seems to be stepping up to the plate to film the movie, Firth sighed – probably because the Coens themselves don’t want to direct it.

“[‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ director] PJ Hogan came on and Ben Kingsley was attached to it. Then it was Sandra Bullock attached and then Jennifer Aniston,” Firth recounted. “They won’t direct it. It had a producer attached to it and no director.”

The 2007 filing is not yet available. The Make it Right Foundation was established in 2007 and there is no record of contributions from Jolie-Pitt –i.e. no Form 990 on file for 2007; perhaps we’ll see it later this year but it is late already. Of note is that they are asking for capital contributions and make note of Brad Pitt’s interest in making it right–how many years after the fact? Didn’t someone allege that the MIR housing was empty and the homes had been sold to Jolie? Sounds more like a real estate investment than a charitable contribution. The Global Action for Children website said it was in 2003, the public documentation shows 2006 and it’s ruling year as 2007. There is no Form 990 for the charity–so no record on file of charitable contributions to it. If funds were donated & distributed, they would show on the 2007 Form 990. Perhaps backlog at the IRS, don’t know definitively, but this 2008….late in the year…..This latest AIDS donation can be tracked in 2009 for 2008. The same for the $14 million they received this year. They may very well be donating in full to their foundation, what is important is how much of this they distribute in a given year or over time.

The majority of Brangelina hype is “planted” in the media to make them seem more “important” than they are, I will never take claims like this seriously AGAIN. Bought and paid for, folks; not a SCRAP of truth behind it!

The investment companies have brought this mess on themselves. What is scary is that it is going to have a tremendously negative effect on the entire economy, not just the investment companies.

Don’t waste time feeling sorry for the top executives. They will walk away with multi-million dollar severance packages and retire in comfort. The ones who will get hurt are the investors and the little people working at the companies who will be out on the street looking for jobs where there aren’t any.

Why would you assume they are late. It is not late.

Just for the record - foundation tax filings are not necessarily due when personal tax filings are due. I believe that they are due - or the foundation can opt to have them due - based on their fiscal year dates. If their fiscal year begins Oct 1 then they can opt to use that as a basis for their due date. I am unsure if the due date is the date of the FY or so many omnths after the close of their FY. Foundations and businesses are continually working on extension filing dates. The work of filing taxes is not a simple matter.

The IRS takes approx 4 to 6 months after filing to make the public filings of these foundations available to the public.

Their donations may also be personal (tax deductions), the foundation may be doing other things rather than donating the money to causes. You don’t know. I really don’t think the two of them are that materialistic and keeping the money they’ve made from People etc. They may also have a long term goal and are saving the money to donate towards that. They have given money in smaller amounts to all sorts of endeavors and I believe smaller amounts don’t appear on foundation filings. However, you seem to know more than the rest of us.

Why criticize? They certainly are giving a lot more whether you can uncover the tax returns or not than most hollywood types. How much do you give each year? 10 percent? 20 percent? 30 percent? or more of your income??? And if so, where do you give it? Do you have receipts for everything? Is everything on your tax return? Can we find your donations by looking at foundation tax returns?

This really is no surprise to me at all. These two have earned that power over the years.

Jolie, Pitt donate $2 million for kids in Ethiopia
ANGELES (Reuters) - Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt have donated $2 million to create a center, named after their adopted daughter, Zahara, for Ethiopian children affected by AIDS and tuberculosis.

*******The Global Health Committee said the donation from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation would establish a center in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to treat AIDS orphans and develop a program to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis.*****

The Oscar-winning Jolie adopted a baby girl she called Zahara, now 3 years old, from Ethiopia in July 2005 and the new clinic will be named after her.

“It is our hope that when Zahara is older, she will take responsibility for the clinic and continue its mission,” Pitt said in a statement.

Pitt and Jolie now have six children — twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline born in July, Shiloh, 2, and adopted children Zahara, Pax from Vietnam and Maddox from Cambodia.

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation helped set up a similar clinic in 2006 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia that is named after Maddox.

“Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease,” Jolie said.

Ethiopia has the seventh-highest rate of tuberculosis disease in the world and an estimated 1.7 million people in the country are infected with HIV, according to the World Health Organization. UNICEF estimates that more than 900,000 children have been orphaned by AIDS in Ethiopia.

Berta, George, Mom And That Damn Movie

Friday was the day. Unfortunately, because I had to work late, my mom had to wait 24 hours to see George Clooney’s ass. We should have waited forever. I guess I should mention that my mom sees all George Clooney films the day they open. She says it is her way of thanking him for making her life with my dad bearable. I choose to ignore what she means by that statement.

All week leading up to the film, people would ask what are you doing this weekend and I would say, “I’m taking my mom to see that new George Clooney, Brad Pitt film.” They would invariably ask what it was called and for the life of me, all week I could not remember. I would say, “Read After Burning” or “Burning After Reading” or just tell them I couldn’t remember and that it was the new Coen Brothers film.

For the record you should probably burn out your eyes before going to see the film. Or your ears. Actually your best bet is just to be deaf and blind and hope that your sight or hearing doesn’t come back before the DVD comes out.

Oh, it all started out well enough. Mom and her flask and just humming that Facts Of Life song with a little grin on her face. Me? Straight to the bar. Surprisingly the Arclight bar was only half filled at 330 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Most people were having red wine, like they were kidding themselves it was the middle of the afternoon. I don’t kid around, so just ordered whiskey and didn’t give a crap. On the way into the film we saw Berta coming out. Sure, I know now her name is Conchata Ferrell, but you see the maid from Two And A Half Men, let me here you come out with her name. She looked miserable and depressed. Not a good sign. It was like she had wasted two hours of her life she would never get back. And this from a woman who works with Charlie Sheen.

Even in the middle of the afternoon, the place was almost full. Oh, sure everyone was excited when it began. Even some clapping. In fact, the previews were great. Milk and The Soloist look great. When the film started though, out of the first say 100 words of dialogue, the first 15 were f bombs. After about the 5th, it was old. The total for the film was somewhere in the 100 range. John Malkovich played the same damn character he always plays, just at a louder volume. Tilda Swinton was awful. She plays John’s wife and is supposed to be having an affair with George Clooney. Well, there is no chemistry and her character actually seemed like she would never have sex, so I didn’t understand it. George Clooney, was ok. Played a dumb ass, but he alternated between tough guy and moron, and it didn’t work. Brad Pitt? He was funny as hell, BUT ONLY because it was Brad Pitt playing him and so you were laughing at that fact rather than the character. The character was stupid. Frances McDormand? Meh. She was ok. Probably the best of the bunch.

The only saving grace of the film were two bit parts that were in the film on two separate occasions. I told someone to rent the DVD, and then changed my mind and said, no because they would just turn it off. Unfortunately I couldn’t get up and leave. The movies and George Clooney is like church to my mom. You don’t get up until the end. But even mom, the woman who actually liked that Chuck Barris film he did, didn’t like him in this. Plus there was no naked ass. Oh you should have seen mom squirming when George was taking a shower at one point, but no luck for her, and I’m sure none for dad that night.

Oh, I’m sure some of you saw it this weekend and will say, it was a combination of elements and there was weave or some kind of garbage like that. It sucked. Even the Coen Brothers are not perfect, and it sucked. All the clapping at the beginning of the film? Not so much at the end. None. Just some mumbling about what the hell they just watched and a lot of confused faces.

Alot of people are saying that Brad Pitt was funny because he was playing himself. How sad that people see him as a dumb guy. lol

Brad Pitt? He was funny as hell, BUT ONLY because it was Brad Pitt playing him and so you were laughing at that fact rather than the character.

BP is a Rea-Estate Investor. He buys and sells properties and is interested in building up his compound in the Los Felix area. He has a large family with six kids and Parents, sibilings who visit often. The only rumors are in your jealous mind. Sucks that Jen gave all that up, a good man, a good business man, a great father, an actor with a striving production company. Suck it up troll.

I can’t believe that last year’s powerful actress was the X. I mean, she did nothing in 2007. Was it because of her four crappy movies in 2005-2006, with The Break-Up making big bucks domestically, that she was considered powerful? Or was it the residual money that she got from Friends, and the millions of hits on the internet because her name was coupled to Brad and Angelina’s as part of the never-ending triangle?

If she was that powerful, how come all the roles she gets are the sappy, crappy romcoms? No A-list director has ever really wanted to get her, except maybe for Woody Allen now, and that’s not even a sure thing is it???

Awesome, BDJ! That’s how it should be, I think, in an ideal internet universe. One name, one simple screenname and not this constant shifting around using new names. We’ve been pushing for a log in feature for 2 yrs now, we actually got it for awhile right before Shiloh was born when the hens went stark raving mad from grief and sadness but it only worked well for us but from a business stand point, not so much coz while the JP thread kept up its regular traffic, it was a ghost town in the other threads…so there ya have it.

By the way, if I were to guess…I’ll say JJB is JJB is the dumbass. She deliberately posted articles in her JJB name, made sure to call attention to the negativity, setting the stage for her “What? Who is using my name?” performance and we’re all supposed to be convinced someone else was using her name and bada bing, bada bong…she gets to carry on with her switcheroo personality.

Lol…tell me about it. Up until early this year, I used to make the rounds, Lainey, Gawker, Jossip, defamer, IDLYITW and the days I have my full amour suits on, Dlisted and PH but lately, I don’t have the time. I open two tabs, one for work and the other for JJ and just keep refreshing, I figure if there’s anything to know, it’s gonna find its way to the thread anyway….that’s how lazy I’ve gotten.

I don’t think it is getting up in age years, I think it is getting up in blogging years. It’s been what…almost 4 yrs now. Why, we should be looking ar retirement properties in the blogger’s world’s equivalence of Boca right about now. :lol:

Brad is just doing what the governator and Jack Nicholson and all other astute people do, buy up the properties around your home and make a nice private home for you and your family. This recently bought home allegedly looks down on Brad’s main home and he values his privacy. There was all kinds of info in LA local neighborhood blogs as to Brad increasing the height of the wall around his home and building a guardhouse last fall and early spring. There had to be permission from the local zoning authorities and the neighborhood association which Brad’s rep (Cynthia P-D) and his head security guy obtained. That is one reason Brad easily quashed a lie earlier this year that his neighbors had problems with him, by saying he had lived in the neighborhood off and on since 1994 and never had problems with his neighbors when a parking dispute arose that had no real connection to Brad.

Brad knows exactly what he is doing and if one has money now is a good time to pick up property at a good price. It is evident to anyone with any intelligence that their Los Feliz home will be their main residence as the movie business is still concenrated in LA, and as Angie said they recognize that the kids may not want to travel as much when they are older.

“JJB” comments are so asinine, the Los Feliz home already consisted of 3 houses, one used as Brad’s architectual theme experimental home, one used as an office/guest home, and one being their main residence.

The nonthinking desperate hags just repeat the same ole cra* over and over, while even the tabloids are beginning to move on, ranting over an almost 4 year old divorce does not gather many readers these days. Too many people have too many very real problems in their own lives to concentrate on the nonexistant problems of a clinging by the fingernails to a noncareer 39.5 year old ex TV actress. Truth of that is examplified by the nonsale of Management in Toronto.

Also saw that “Gambit” which hags point to as a exer project will not be made by the Coens according to CFirth who was attached to the project, he says it is a NO GO. The film-finance world may not feel an immediate pinch from the Chapter 11 filing by Lehman Bros. and the bailout of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America — but longer term, there may be an ouch.

“A financial market that’s in a meltdown is not good for the industry in so many ways,” is how film-finance attorney John Burke put it Monday.

Admittedly, the studios and startups that have made use of funds from institutions like Merrill Lynch have locked in money and interest rates for the near-term. Summit and Marvel, both of which have credit facilities with Merrill, for example, have their rates already set.

But some companies could see their future clouded as the Merrill sale goes through.

MGM’s United Artists, which has a $500 million production facility with Merrill, has only one movie on the immediate horizon — the Tom Cruise vehicle “Valkyrie” — and could find itself facing tough questions from new Merrill owners Bank of America.

In the most dramatic scenario, that could lead to the facility being pulled.

While Bank of America is seen as a solid institution with its own history of film investment, at least one rival exec said Monday that an exit from the UA deal is a distinct possibility.

“The new owners will have teams of accountants who will be looking at every loophole and trap door in the deal because that’s what they do — and they’re being told to get rid of all their risky investments,” the high-ranking film exec opined.

Meanwhile, UA’s parent could find the road rockier in the wake of Monday’s stock market tumble. The Lion has said for a number of weeks that it’s been close to a production facility, with Goldman Sachs retained as the studio ramps up original production under Mary Parent.

MGM declined comment.

Meanwhile, the Weinstein Co. is believed to be seeking further financing, turning to Asian sources after its Goldman Sachs fund, formed by a combination of debt and equity, draws to a close.

Merrill also has a set of existing slate-financing deals such as Disney and was part of the Melrose I deal at Paramount; any pictures under existing deals will not be affected by the Merrill takeover.

In some respects, Paramount has already begun to deal with the tightening credit market. In July, the studio abandoned efforts to raise $400 million-$450 million in an overall deal with Deutsche Bank and said it would co-finance future movies on a picture-by-picture basis.

Lehman, for its part, has been quieter on the film-finance front than Merrill (one of the few deals it did was with Warners-based Alcon Entertainment). While the bank still has a dedicated division and has been scouring for investment targets, film-finance insiders say they have not considered the company to be a major player for several months.

Still, many warn of hidden consequences when an institution of Lehman’s size goes under. Even if the bank did not invest directly in many films, it was responsible for investing in and loaning money to high net-worth individuals and hedge funds, who in turn poured their money into single-picture movie financing.

“If those individuals and hedge funds can’t get money from the banks as easily, they’re going to use their money on their core business and spend a lot less on the film business,” film-finance expert and former Walden COO John Logigian said. “There’s a trickle down effect.”

Relativity Media, which has been accruing much of its film-finance capital primarily through the hedge fund Elliott Associates, could be among the players to feel this impact, however indirectly.

There are also tricky questions for many companies down the road. Summit, for example, could find it more difficult in going back for another $500 million in debt financing, as its initial agreement with Merrill allowed.

In a sense, Monday’s news is not a watershed event, just a continuation of the credit crisis that has hit the film business hard, either shutting off money sources or jacking up interest rates so high that it makes reasonable film budgets impossible.

But the double whammy of a company going under and another being swallowed up exacerbates the crisis. And those effects may not just be financial: They could put more pressure on the movies that equity- and debt-financed companies are releasing.

Summit is right now riding a buoyant wave with its teen-vampire tale “Twilight”; the Weinstein Co. has strong early word on its R-rated comedy “Zack and Miri Make a P**or**no.” The rocky financial landscape means those movies are carrying even more of the company’s weight.

Still, one executive who has been known for bracing assessments said Monday that he thought the Bank of America bailout actually offers hope.

“I think we just passed the bottom,” the Film Department’s Mark Gill said. “I think it’s still pretty rocky, but it’s better now than it was on Friday because there’s now certainty returning to the market. It’s a long and dark and nasty tunnel, but what the Bank of America news means is that we will eventually get out of it.”

He’s what - 47, 48? Dating Hoochie Larsen, who was 29, was pretty skeevy-looking, so any younger than that and he’s going to look like Jerry Seinfeld dating that high schooler.
