Brad & Angelina: Most Powerful Pair On The Planet

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have topped the Hollywood power league, according to the Guinness World Records. The power couple was judged from a combination of Internet searches, press stories and earnings.

Though Brad & Angie may be the most powerful, Britney Spears is still the most searched person on the Internet.

In weekend box office office news, Brad’s latest screwball spy comedy, Burn After Reading, opened at No. 1 with an estimated $19.4 million.

The Oscar-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen directed the movie, which also stars George Clooney John Malkovich.

Give it up, honey. He’s not going back to Fugly. God, you trolls are fcuking unbelievable. You act like you fell out the stupid tree and hit every single branch on the way down.

Snowblood @ 09/15/2008 at 3:30 am

Dearest Ebmo! You and cliniqua are doing all the heroic sword-schwacking today, I’m way behind on defending their names! I’ve not been able to post much today, but it’s awesome to come here and read all the brilliant, informative defending posts from people like you, my fellow Jolie-Pitt fans & defenders! ‘K, now I have to go to bed… Good night, all…

OT,

I am reading about the crisis at Lehman Bros, and this is very scary. On the news tonight, they showed the employees moving out their personal belongings looking shell-shocked.

I worked at an Investment bank for 12 years, and was given a buy-out after 911. It took me about 18 months before I could find a decent job again, and although i desperately wanted to work in the financial district again, I had to settle for a job in financial aid office of a propriety college. I am kind of happy I did now, because all of my friends who are working in banks or brokerage houses are on tenterhooks, not knowing what the future holds. Although with the economy the way it is now, no one is safe.

Also, there is a rumour that Merrill Lynch might be bought by Bank of America, which will mean more lay-offs. This is a global crisis, and very unsettling.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

OT

dianad1968, the world is a topsy turvy place at the moment. If you are in education and your college is doing well, then you are probably in the best place right now, I really believe it.

I believe (and all my friends in the investment world believe) that things are going to get worse in America before it gets better. America is greatly in debt at the moment. At every level, from the PRIVATE citizen through credit cards and housing mortgages to the GOVERNMENT with blow out budget deficits to fund America’s defence against terrorists, its gonna impact the US $$.

How can the US government make anything better at the moment? Solutions such as the US government funding buy out of property in order to provide a floor to housing prices requires that the US government actually have money to do so. Where is that money going to come from?

Printing money is NOT a solution. Why? Because this is going to affect your inflation, your interest rates, your economic activity, your ability to fund your army and ultimately affect America’s ability to defend itself. Sooner or later, it is going to affect your taxes and your quality of life. Even the 300b take over of Fannie and Freddie’s debts is going to be a tough thing to do. That’s one of the reasons why the US $ is falling.

When the Asian financial crisis occurred in 1996 - 1997, the countries with massive reserves, such as HK, China and Singapore , all withstood the pressures to devalue their own currencies. You might recall that speculators put tremendous on the HK $ which was (and still is) linked to the US $. HK managed to fight off the speculators and even went out to buy shares in the stock market to calm the fears of investors using its huge reserves. None of these governments needed to print extra money.

Here is an article from the Christian Science Monitor about the budget deficit. Proposals from both democrats and republicans to cut taxes
(democrats by 2.9 trillion and republicans by 4.2 trillion) over the next 10 years makes me feel depressed for America and my American friends.

>>>>>>>>>>

Gotta clarify, I meant the projected cost to the taxpayer of taking over fannie and freddies debts is gonna be about US$300 b the last time I read.

Also, just read in bloombergs that BofA has taken over merrill lynch and Lehmans have filed for bankruptcy.

I’m starting to think that American should vote for the first candidate to say that he is gonna tackle national debt.

lylian, thanks for your post and the link.

this is why, inspite of the inanity of the trolls, jared is still the place for me since it is only here where i can get this kind of info side by side w/ the latest on the jolie-pitts.

dianad1968 @ 09/15/2008 at 2:09 am Orchid,

I dont think Brad has a problem with any of Angie’s remarks. In her Vogue 2006 interview, she said she told Brad that she was worried doing the interview, because she was not accustomed speaking for someone else, as she is always candid. She said Brad told her not to worry, and to do as she always did, to just be herself.

It’s not her intention to hurt anyone, or cause problems. The media and the trolls just pounce on everthing she says, to try to destroy her.
——-
I remember that Vogue (have kept my copy). I’m sure she doesn’t upset him with her remarks. What I meant was that I bet she makes him blush sometimes.
It doesn’t matter what the media does, or what the haters say. Angie has the support of her other half and all the family.

161 true @ 09/15/2008 at 2:12 am

Brad is too old for Angelina. He needs to find a woman closer to his age. They look like such a mismatched couple.
——-
I disagree! He found the one he wants. Age makes no difference. They look great together. Can’t wait for the Changeling RC!

brad and angie deserves to be recognized as the most powerful couple in hollywood.

From People mag:
Better Luck Next Time
Unlikely to be nominated is a wan Jennifer Aniston in Management, a total misfire of a comedy. She’s stuck playing straight woman to Steve Zahn’s would be wacky–but mostly just stuperfyingly dumb-slacker.
**************************************************************************

Tsk, tsk…. who’da thunk?

=====
LMAO. and she produced that movie, isn’t it ? This is just an example of film she will be producing without Brad Pitt, stuperfyingly dumb-slacker romcom.
I think this should stopped her fans from giving us the twisted reasons that the success of the Departed and Plan B production co. was partly because of accurate, sharp, intelligent decision of Maniston.

God, keep blessing and watching over the Jolie-Pitt family.

The changeling premiere and press junket a couple of weeks away, i’m so excited to see angie again and see her and brad on the RC.

CLINTON GLOBAL FORUM @ 09/15/2008 at 5:51 am

The clinton global forum is next week 23-26, i wonder if brad and angie will make an apperance like last year.

For those of you who are deliberately spoiling the movie for others STOP…

If you don’t like Brad keep the plot outcomes to yourself. Everyone has a right to see a movie without it being spoiled by fans or haters.

I was so happy to hear the movie is #1 at the Box office. While I love the Coen Brothers, I did think Tyler Perry would win out. When I saw it Friday afternoon his movie was packed, mine was rather empty. Still we all laughed a lot. This was an interesting weekend. The beginning of the adult movies, dramas, comedies. The new movies released really did share the movie goers. All the totals are pretty close. But I think BAR will continue to do well with word of mouth. I will see it again next week.

Cute, funny, weird and Crazy… Loved the movie.

are you really blessing a couple of strangers that don’t even know you exist ? wow you loons are crazier than i thought save the blessings for your own family you crazy ass ******* don’t you have a life ?

I just saw a report that the biggest star according to Guiness Book of Record last year was Cruise and Aniston?#@? What the fu#@#!!.??? Aniston??? What has she done to warrant that recognition last year? I don’t know what it is but she constantly manages to creep in the top something for no reason at all….oh..I get it…she constantly rides on the coattails of B and A . That’s why she and her manager Huvane always finds a way to get into the news when Angie or Brad are on it. Even Lainey caught on it…and so does a lot of other people. Notice that she had no business at TIFF yet she was there becoz Brad had a movie to promote? I know..I know..she was supposed to be in this lame movie but screw….this movie does not even have a distributor. Jeez….that’s why I don’t like JA. She is one big Manipulative lady…and when she recently interviewed…her eyes spoke volumes…..she was rather uncomfortable and not in her element….ah…I know….she is good at F#@#!! her co-actors….and tanning in the beach…and being dumb…that’s what she’s good at,. Cheers!

CLINTON GLOBAL FORUM @ 09/15/2008 at 6:38 am

RealityCheck @ 175
Honestly, Jared, you did overdo it this time. They are not the most powerful pair on the planet. They are just a pair – period. They have no power over my life and my purchasing choices because if I see a product advertised by this two, I won’t buy it to sponsor their spoilt, hypocritical, globe-trotting lifestyles. They are not the first to do multi-million charity, so I won’t cut them any slack for that, either. They are just Ken & Barbie in the humanitarian field – that’s as far as the difference goes.

WANTED GAME GETS NEW NAME
Wanted: Weapons of Fate is the new name for the shoot ‘em up tie-in for this summer’s Angelina Jolie-starring flick, which was inspired by Mark Millar’s Wanted comic.

In addition to announcing the name change, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive sent along a new batch of screenshots, adding human shields to the game’s previously covered fiesta of curvy bullets.

In The Great Buck Howard, he plays an illusionist of dubious merit, sharing the screen with Tom Hanks. In The Changeling - his second time around with director Clint Eastwood (after playing the psycho assassin in In the Line of Fire) - he’s cast as Angelina Jolie’s priest. (It opens here Oct. 31.) The Mutant Chronicles is a dark, 23d-century sci-fier. Gardens of the Night is about two teenage street kids in England.

As for working with the Oscar-winning writers/producers/directors Joel and Ethan Coen, Malkovich says that the Burn After Reading shoot was one of the most smoothly run affairs he’s been involved with. Their stories (No Country For Old Men, Fargo) might be dark, bloody and odd, but their production style is jovial and efficient.

“I think I would say that the dynamic on this whole film was just really light, and very professional,” Malkovich says. “They’re very calm, and their calm, I think, ensures that they’re really attentive, because they’re not neurotic, they’re not panic mongers, and they know how to have fun.

“And that’s such a good thing. You can find a lot of sympathy for directors who well understand why it isn’t fun - there’s an enormous amount of pressure, films are so expensive to make, it’s an incredible workload, a series of decisions, of options, of rejections, problems, questions. But Joel and Ethan don’t worry that too much.”

The perfect ‘tooth fairy’ revealed

15th Sep 2008

A survey reveals that Brad Pitt and Jessica Alba are the ideal tooth fairies.

The poll – commissioned for Colgate Oral Health Month ¬– claims that more than a third of the men surveyed voted Jessica Alba as their dream tooth fairy, followed closely by Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen, Eve Mendez and Scarlett Johannson.

Predictably, the surveyed women voted Brad Pitt top to leave money under their pillow.

Will Smith, Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington followed close behind – with Justin Timberlake the least popular.

Nice Bromance picture

Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt and George Clooney have worked their box office magic again, drawing droves of audiences to the theaters to make ‘Burn After Reading’ the No. 1 movie this weekend with $19.4 million in ticket sales.

The comedy, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen of ‘No Country for Old Men’ fame, was the highest grossing opening for the directing duo, the Associated Press reports.

The superstar cachet of actors Pitt and Clooney, who also fired-up the screen with their ‘Oceans’ films, may be one reason why the film revived a recent dip in box-office numbers.

PITT AND CLOONEY SHOW HEART FOR CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM CANCER
Common donation for sick children
German art project in Venice touchs the hearts of Clooney and Pitt – Didillon overhappy, “My art project will be continued!”
(newsmax) After his participation in the Film Festival in Cannes last May, the German performance artist and painter Christophe Didillon recently travelled to the Venice Film Festival (65. Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia). Again wearing a Spider-Man costume, the artist from Germany called attention to his art project to the benefit of children suffering from cancer. His action project just began with an adventure, so Didillon:
When I came near to the Festival building with red carpet, I was arrested immediately. At first, I thought this would be an original joke, but it wasn’t, not at all.
