I don’t think PR was ever really set in stone. The triathlon on the other hand was for charity and commited to a LONG time ago. Frankly if she was to back out of anything it SHOULD be Project Runway.

People have a point on why she doesn’t simply donate millions of dollars. Ideally, you would like her to do both (in person + donating). Nevertheless, she’s done a terrific job putting her own time into charity events like these.

Jennifer Lopez is such an INSPIRATION to all. Congrats and thanks for the smiles today for all that you do. I’m sure Marc and Jen will have a GRAND time tonight for the celebration on all accounts.

her rep said it was a ’slight’ injury and she would deff. be doing the triathalon, that she wouldnt let the charity down. she obviously wanted to rest her foot instead of flying out for the appearence, she was probably paraniod the injury could become more serious if she didnt take it easy, i know i would be. and project runway isnt important, this triathalon was and she had been planning it for months.

Celebrities do many things for publicity, but I don’t think this was one of them. I really think this was something Jennifer Lopez just did for herself. By the way, she would have had to train for many months for this. It’s not like going to a premiere where you just throw on a designer dress and rock up to the red carpet. It would have required some effort and commitment.

This was an achievement, my only I guess criticism(?) was the way she was going on and on about her training and what a great thing this was for her to be doing–it sounded as tho she was at the level of training for a half or a full. Her time was decent, so she obviously put the effort into it!
