OlderJennifer Lopez is Triathalon Tremendous
Jennifer Lopez participates in the Nautica Malibu Triathalon at Zuma Beach in Malibu, Calif., early Sunday morning. She completed the half-mile ocean swim, 18 mile out-and-back bike course, and 4-mile out-and-back run course and successfully competed it in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds.
The competition, which was presented by Toyota, helped raise money for their charity partner, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. For more information on the triathalon, visit NauticaMalibuTri.com.
The 39-year-old mother, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme almost seven months ago, is rumored to be throwing husband Marc Anthony’s 40th birthday bash later tonight at the Bowery Hotel.
“She wants to make it a Cuban casino-themed party,” a spy snitched to the Daily News. “It will be like a casino from the ’60s, with everyone gambling.”

Celebrities do many things for publicity, but I don’t think this was one of them. I really think this was something Jennifer Lopez just did for herself. By the way, she would have had to train for many months for this. It’s not like going to a premiere where you just throw on a designer dress and rock up to the red carpet. It would have required some effort and commitment.

Although this is something to be proud of, from the Way JLo was going on and on about her training and her doing this, I thought she was training for a half or full Triathlon rather than this mini. This did not require the level of training the half or full required, so no wonder she was able to fly off to celebrate her hubby’s birthday.

A source close to “Runway” host Heidi Klum says that Klum was furious that Lopez pulled out.
“Heidi went from one big-name judge for the finale to none,” the source says. “It was embarrassing, especially the excuse that (Lopez) was hurt.”
Lopez is rumored to be throwing a birthday party for husband Anthony back in New York, and, according to the source, “She can forget about Heidi and (husband) Seal attending after this.”
One of the rumors swirling around Lopez’s sudden injury is that she had no beef with “Project Runway,” but instead was angry with The Weinstein Company, which produces the reality show.
“Jennifer was hoping for a part in an upcoming Weinstein film, and she was told the day before (the ‘Project Runway’ show) that she wasn’t getting it,” the source says. “She was angry, so she pulled out.”
Lopez’s rep, Leslie Sloane, denied the rumors, saying “(Lopez) pulled out (of “Runway”) because she had an injury and had to have it rehabbed so she could compete (in the triathlon).” She went on to say “(Lopez) has no issues with Harvey (Weinstein).”
JHO is such a loser. She flew to NYC to celebrate Marc’s 40th birthday. He looks like 340 years old to me.

This was an achievement, my only I guess criticism(?) was the way she was going on and on about her training and what a great thing this was for her to be doing–it sounded as tho she was at the level of training for a half or a full. Her time was decent, so she obviously put the effort into it!
