Celebrities are continuing to speak out publicly over their disapproval of Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin. You can tack on Lindsay Lohan and her gal pal DJ Samantha Ronson to that list now! The pair just published this same entry on their respective MySpace blogs:
“I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin.
I couldn’t be more supportive of a woman in office, but let’s face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female.
Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?
I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor. Which is probably all she is qualified to be… Also interesting that she got her passport in 2006.. And that she is not fond of environmental protection considering she’s FOR drilling for oil in some of our protected land…. Well hey, if she wants to drill for oil, she should DO IT IN HER OWN backyard. This really shows me her complete lack of real preparation to become the second most powerful person in this country.
Hmmmm-All of this gets me going-Fear, Anxiety, Concern, Disappointment, and Stress come into play…

I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice… I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the “lipstick on a pig” comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president…
Palin’s desire to “save and convert the gays”-really??
According to this Associated Press story, the church of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is hosting a kind of conference devoted to the “conversion of Gays” — no kidding.
Here’s the AP text: ‘Gov. Sarah Palin’s church is promoting a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer. You’ll be encouraged by the power of God’s love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality,” according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed since she was a child. Palin’s conservative Christian views have energized that part of the GOP electorate, which was lukewarm to John McCain’s candidacy before he named her as his vice presidential choice. She is staunchly anti-abortion, opposing exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes gay marriage and spousal rights for gay couples.’
I feel it’s necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.
Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies… And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that.
Oh, and…Hint Hint Pali Pal- Don’t pose for anymore tabloid covers, you’re not a celebrity, you’re running for office to represent our, your, my COUNTRY!

OBAMA IS A STUPID SCARY IDIOT. HE HAS A LOT MORE BAGGAGE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES IN THE AMERICAN HISTORY. DO SOME RESEARCH. PALIN DID SO MUCH GOOD IN ALASKA SINCE TAKING OFFICE IN 1992 AS CITY COUNCIL AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. I can name 30 political accomplishments Governor Palin has accomplished and I cannot find one that Obama can stand on and proclaim he did. Sad to see when a person runninG for president cannot tell us what he has done other than say hope and change. I think more of the change in my pocket than the change obama is offering. She’s the Governor of Alaska and was the mayor of a small town, meaning she has more executive experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden put together. But more than that, given Barack Obama’s comments earlier this year that small-town Americans “cling” to guns, religion, and xenophobia out of economic anxiety, it’s troubling that Obama’s campaign has now attacked Governor Palin for having been the mayor of a small-town, as if that wouldn’t qualify her to carry Senator Obama’s bags.

Harvard was recently forced to change its honor system to reflect the practices at other colleges — in 2001 a record 91% of Harvard students graduated *** laude, magna *** laude, or summa *** laude. Google it if you want to read more about the scandal. But, needless to say, honors at Harvard mean very little. The real test for a law student is getting published — the real test for a professor is getting published. Unfortunately, though, Obama never published any academic articles. McCain was a teenager in the Navy Academy. Obama as a teenager did terrible in school. Obama waited a decade to go into harvard law. Obama was 31 at Harvard law competing against people a decade younger. Easy to do well when you are 30 competing against kids. McCain sacrificed for his country. McCain flew fighter pilots. Obama is terrible with numbers. Obama says 57 states. Obama says 100 million died in Burma. Obama says 10,000 died in a tornado in Kansas. Obama did get affirmative action he got poor grades at Columbia and got into harvard. Who is that mystery man that got Obama into Harvard?Another questionable associate for Obama: Dr. Khalid Al Mansour.While the MSM vets Palin they really should take the time to vet Obama. Obama was 30 when he was in harvard law. McCain was a teenager at the navy academy. Obama as a teenager when to Occidental College because he initially didn’t pass any ivy league schools when he was a teenager and then with luck was able to transfer to Columbia but got poor grades at Columbia not enough to qualify him to Harvard Law. He got affirmative action from Dr. Khalid Al Mansour who knows people inside Harvard that’s why he was able to get in. McCain was tested at 130 IQ in the navy and flew planes. Obama is terrible with numbers and could never have flown planes. There is a difference in graduating college coming out smart than coming out dumb.

Barely 2 years in High Office because his last 2 years in Senate was spent mostly in campaign trail.

Isn’t it strange that we who are in support of life are demonized while people who support selfish women who want to abort their babies are the heroes of the day.
How do people really justify Obama’s nonsupport of the Born Alive act that they tried to pass in the Illinois senate. The language in that legislation was the same as the federal bill - he lied about why he did not support helping babies that survived partial birth abortion. What’s wrong with saving a baby and giving it up for adoption?
Think about it… if the question of when life begins is above your paygrade, why not lean on the side of life at conception? BECAUSE - THE SELFISHNESS OF WOMEN WHO THINK THEIR LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN AN INNOCENT BABY. Most abortions are done because women have been victims of rape or their lives are at stake. It’s because of the lack of responsibility. Pro-choice? That’s a sorry excuse for a lack of respect for life!
And as far as gay marriage -why call it a marriage? A marriage is defined as between a man and a woman. It doesn’t prevent gay people from civil unions…. but why change the definition of a marriage? You want to be married? Find someone of the opposite sex. Othewise, SUCK IT!
Watching from outside of the US, it is actually really frightening to see how the majority of you have become obsessed with Obama! I find American politics fascinating and have done my research. There is nothing special about the man or what he stands for. I read comments about how Europe and the rest of the world is just waiting for you to elect him as president. COMPLETE lie! The rest of the world is laughing at how an entire nation has been hypnotized by this man - just as the Germans were with Hitler..While I don’t completely agree with everything Palin promotes, I find it quite sad that she is being ridiculed for having sound, Christian morals and values. But go on, elect your Obama. There is only one judge at the end of the day, and all our beliefs on abortion and same sex relationships will be placed before God. You can’t call yourself a Christian and believe in either of the above I’m afraid. Good luck with your new president; you’ll need it.
