Nicole Kidman is Nine for Nine
Nicole Kidman arrives at at Royal Opera House in Central London on Sunday carrying her daughter Sunday Rose, 2 months, in a simple sling.
The 41-year-old Aussie actress, Penelope Cruz, Fergie and Kate Hudson are all reportedly in London prepping for their upcoming film Nine.
The movie-musical will be directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha). Nine tells the story of famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis), who struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and his mother.

NICOLE seems to be a wonderful mother, and I don’t think she would let anything happen to Sunday Rose……The sling looks fine to me, and she is always holding her baby under the sling……I’m sure it is a more comfortable thing to do, then to worry about a stroller, while getting in and out of a car………Nicole is beautiful and I love her clothes..

sorry alex, i dont buy the loving mother routine where nicole’s older children are concerned. i think that she has abandoned them to the care of their father. somewhere along the way these two older ones became too much responsibility for dear, sweet nicole. i wonder how long it will be before nicole leaves sunday rose to the care of her father

Nicole’s older son and daughter were in Nashville this summer. Who knows when and where she sees them before that or since then. Tom and Nicole are divorced so probably have some kind of custody agreement. One can take a guess that the older ones are in their teens and might prefer staying in CA where their friends are, etc. etc. Just like many divorced people with kids who might live hundreds of miles apart. No doubt people’s lives are under so much scrutiny when they are in the public eye. Wishng the best for Nicole and Keith and Sunday Rose and Bella and Connor!

I always thought the baby sling should be worn higher on the mom’s body so that the infant is closer to mom’s chest/heart beat/ milk source! It is also easier on the mother’s back to carry the baby higher than having is so low on her abdomen.
It just be more comfortable for Nic this way. She looks radiant.

Keith has taken full responsibility for his addictions that is to be admired & not torn apart.. Tom Cruise is in a cult that is absolutely scary. I really couldnt bare to let my children go to this. The problem now is that they are old enough to choose according to the law.

sorry jack, you are only partially correct in the above. it all depends on the custody arrangement, sole custody or joing custody, as approved by the court. under sole custody there are three types of arrangments. i should tell you that my brother is a lawyer in los angeles who spends most of his days in a court room trying to arrange custody of children for one parent or the other. so if anyone should know how it works its him.
Exclusive custody (”legal” and “physical”) to one parent: AN EXCULSIVE CUSTODY ORDER GIVES ONE PARENT PRIMARY PHYSICAL CONTROL OF THE CHILD, WITH THE RIGHT TO MAKE DECISIONS REGARDING THE CHILD’S RESIDENCE, HEALTH , EDUCATION, AND WELFARE. IT ALSO ALLOWS THE CUSTODIAL PARENT TO TALKE THE CHILD OUT OF STATE WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE NONCUSTODIAL PARENT. The noncustodial parent has secondary visitation rights as ordered by the court. (which is why men for the most part, fight their ex-wives in court to prevent her from getting exclusive physical and legal custody)

Tom and Nicole have JOINT custody. You can go to Smoking Gun (I think it is smokinggun.com) to read the divorce decree. Nicole had physical custody for about two years after the divorce. She said in some interview the kids wanted to settle down and Tom said he would settle down with them.
I have met people who have worked with her and they have told me she sees the kids more than you would know, calls them daily, emails them all the time. They said the little they overheard of her on the phone with them–she was loving, supportive, and it was apparent she adored them. Both kids are extremely mature for their ages and have chosen to stay in LA.
Do I believe personally that Scientology has something to do with this? YES. Go read up on Scientology. Nicole has made very few (I can only think of one recent statement and one older statement) about scientology. For those of you like GARCiA–this is a cult, a very DANGEROUS cult. Read up on it. Read the negative things as well as their website. They do shun people who aren’t of their belief. And the kids are being indoctrinated with the cult beliefs. Should she take Tom and this cult to court? Others have. And their lives have been destroyed by the cult. Read up on it. It is all true.
I also believe Tom probably told her she could have access and see them any time. And as they got sucked deeper into the cult, that contact lessened. When Oprah asked him about the kids seeing their mom did you see how uncomfortable he was. It was like he was telling a lie and got all defensive.
From what the folks have told me about Nicole that have worked with her–I believe she is has tried with all her heart not to put the children in any kind of tug-of-war with their father, their beliefs, etc. Scientology at the level they are at TEACHES them to ignore/shun anyone in their family (parents, siblings, other kin) that don’t believe. Nicole knows this. She got out. The kids chose not to when they went to live with their father.
Again, some of this post is opinion, some based on talking to crew that worked on films with her. However, we are not Tom and we are not Nicole and we are not Bella and Connor. We don’t know what has gone on and what is going on. I do know she is an intensely private person when it comes to the kids. She would never create a spectacle like Tom did at the soccer games. In the pictures you see of them together–the kids look very loving as does she.

Oh lay off the ‘good mother’ complaint. There are many types of good mother, not one. If NK chose to give her children’s peace by not fighting Cruise in court and let the children choose to live with their father who really isn’t a bad father, she is a good mother. Each has reasons only she knows why she accepts this arrangement but not that for her children.
There were thousands of mothers in my country who sent their children alone, many were girls as young as 10, 1, to the sea at the risk of them being robbed and raped by pirates or killed by thirst and hunger or storm just so these children can have a free life and education. Many were robbed and raped, many died of dehydration, starvation, many died, yet none of us has ever thought they were anything but good mothers for they chose option they thought was best for their children at the time.
Enough with this annoying one-dimensional definition of good mother!

It is really depressing that people have nothing better to do than ridicule something they know nothing about. Tom is a very contolling person from what I read. I am sure that Nicole loves her other children as much as she loves Sunday. It is really cold blooded to suggest that she doesn’t. Her other two children have chosen to live in the states and I am sure that is because of their controlling father. As someone else said he has brainwashed them. I have seen pictures of the two children with Nicole and Keith and they all have smiles on their faces. so what makes you think she has abandoned them? What do you expect her to do? Should she give up her family and home that she has in Australia and follow Tom and Katie where ever they go? Absolutely ridiculous. Nicole….you go girl. You are awsome.
