SNL alum Tina Fey made her return to Saturday Night Live last night to spoof Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Fey’s former Weekend Update co-host Amy Poehler imitated Sen. Hillary Clinton.
With the accent, signature glasses and hair bun, Tina was pretty spot on.

Hillaryous!!!! I LOVE TINA FEY!!! She is a twin for Sarah Palin. And Amy Poehler does a great job of showing the masculine, obsessed side of Hillary. Tina Fey is so adorable, it will be interesting how many extra votes Palin will get from her imitation. Maybe someone will do a survey when McCain/Palin take the election in a landslide this fall!

I am so glad that SNL had a set of balls to tell it like it is! All those other “talking media heads” have monopolized the airwaves for a week telling us how much of an “impact” Sarah has had and how she should be treated with “kid gloves” in order not to rile women and be accused of “sexism”. Where were all those kid-gloves when the media boxed Hillary out of the ring with their negative reporting on her campaign? It took just one skit on SNL to reduce all the nonsense to reality.

This was amusing - particularly the “nice Hillary” who is really holding in so much anger she could rip the podium to pieces. Too bad they made such an intelligent, tough politically savvy woman as Palin really is to look like such a dunce. But it was still funny. As long as people remember that the reality of Palin is so awesome compared to what Hillary could have been. As a registered nurse I was downright scared of the posibility of Hillary-care actually coming into the reality of our lives.
I am glad we can vote for a woman (along with McCain) who actually has more executive experience than any of the other candidates including her running mate.
OK? I thought the entire skit was probably the funniest thing I’ve seen this year!!!! Tina Fey ABSOLUTELY nailed it, but what really shouldn’t be overlooked was how amazing Amy Poeler’s was as well. Those two women are so amazingly funny together! It was so accurate, it was funny. I litterally almost fell out of the chair! Anyone who follows politics knows that was an emmy worthy performance,SERIOUSLY!!!

To respond to blackcat’s comments above: Yes, I do know people killed in the WTC on 9/11. More than one in fact. And neither I nor any of the familes of these people could conceive of Palin as VP or worse yet, President of the United States. To elect someone so lacking in native intelligence, experience and skill is a practically an open invitation to repeat the heinous attacks of that fateful day. Wake up and realize that just because someone actually went to an Ivy League college does not automatically make them a snob. And, yes, the fact that Obama has received one of the best educations that the world has to offer and successfully competed to place well during his time at Harvard Law should earn some respect. Why would you want to bypass Michael Jordan to play the an untested, untrained potentially talentless water boy or a cheerleader in the semifinals?
this was like the FUNNIEST thing that i have seen on SNL in a LONG LONG time! i love tina fey and her impression of Sarah Palin was sooo funny and soo accurate that i was rolling on the floor laughing out loud! : )
It is scary how much Tina Fey and Sarah Palin look and sound alike! LOL I doubt they could be related, though, as Palin isn’t as sharp as Fey. LOL
