OlderNikki Blonsky: I Love Zac Efron With Every Inch Of My Body
Nikki Blonsky gave Entertainment Tonight her first interview since her arrest last month. (Nikki’s family had an all-out brawl with former America’s Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden’s family at a Turks and Caicos airport.)
The 19-year-old actress says her friends and family have been there for her through it all, including her Hairspray castmates: “They have all been extremely supportive. We are a tight-knit family. We’re just happy to be back together. My family is my life. The best gift that I’ve even been given is my parents.”
Nikki says co-star Zac Efron has been a special source of strength for her, “I love him with every inch of my body and soul. He has been an amazing support system.”
Nikki is currently preparing her nightclub debut at Feinstein’s in New York City that will run from September 23rd to October 4th. Her special performance will feature songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook and pop classics.

Yay! I am super happy to hear that all is goin well for Nikki in the aftermath of all this. Super happy she has a big support system, espeically nice to see that her and Zac and all other Hairspray cast members have stayed close. It shows that all of hollywood isn’t so damn superficial.

I am indifferent to either of these two as I have only seen Hairspray once at the request of a friend. I think the friendship they, and all the other cast for that matter, formed is geniune and you can see that in the exchanges they share.

I know that it is possible for her to just mean it as in “Friendly Love” BUT why did she have to pinpoint Zac? I’m well aware that she did say her Hairspray co-stars were extremely supportive but then she went on and on about Zac leading all the way to “I love Zac with every inch of my body!”. I understand that she has little experience in these business but she should know by now that if you say something like that, people are going to speculate. I mean she could have said, “I love Zac, he’s blah, blah, blah….supportive”. Apparently that wasn’t enough to get her on the spotlight so she just HAD to make it more dramatic! Our comments are on the inappropriateness of the expression not on the genuineness of the friendship so I don’t get why you need to put in your two bits on why you think the friendship is genuine even though you’ve only seen HS once and are indifferent.

I totally agree! I personally am a Zac & Vanessa fan and I have nothing against Nikki or Vanessa. The two of them seem very nice and yes, have made their mistakes, but to claim hate and wish them death!! That’s just sad, and truly shows how corrupted out society is. None of us PERSONALLY know these people. We have never truly met them and got to know them. I can we form a proper opinion of them with what the public knows. I think it’s great what Nikki said here. Both she and Zac have talked about what good friends they were, and Zac has said that he became closest to Nikki and Brittany, beyond the movie. I’m glad to hear that Zac has been a great support to her, as friends should be. Nikki and Zac have never been shy about saying how close they became and how much they care about each other. I’ve seen time and time again what good friends they are, whether we see them out together or not. And this is another example of it. I think that Zac is someone that holds his friends very close to him, and when he has become friends with someone, they seem to be friends for life.
I think the Zanessa fans are pathetic for being jealous like this. Sure I’d love the idea of Zac and Nikki being something more, and who knows what might have happened or might happen in the future, but it doesn’t really matter. What I like about them is how close their friendship became, how affectionate and attentive they were together, and how much they genuinely care for each other. And it DEFINITELY is not one sided. It was usually Zac who reached out to take Nikki’s hand or put his arm around her during Hairspray promotion, so if her words are more vocal, his actions were more evident. And what really matters is that they’re friends and still close, and I think it’s great!
Also, to thos people criticizing Nikki for her weight, she has actually lost quite a bit of weight in the last year, as more recent pictures (e.g. the MTV Movie Awards) show, and she’s looking great, and very healthy. But that has nothing to do with her friendships. Her weight doesn’t matter to her friends, why should it matter to anyone else?
Also, anyone that has read or heard anything more than the most cursory initial reports of her Turks and Caicos incident will see that Nikki was attacked for basically no reason, and she defended herself, and her father defended her as well. Eyewitnesses have been clear about it, and one eye witness even said as much on camera.
Betty, I really think you’re being ridiculous in thinking that Nikki saying she loves Zac with every inch of her body is suggestive or inappropriate. She has said on numerous occasions that she loves him. I think it’’s cute that she is so open with how she feels. And I don’t think she says anything like that to try to interfere with your precious Zanessa. I’m sure that she and Vanessa get along fine, although I’d think Nikki would have questionable respect for Vanessa (as I certainly do) but she probably tolerates her as anyone would tolerate the person their friend was dating, like her or not. And who knows, maybe she even does like her, and they get along great.

What a sweet and heart-warming post. We all knew Zac was a great guy but to support Nikki and be there for her is even more amazing. May they stay good friends forever and share many happy times after the rough days are gone.
This is an amazing development and I just gotta say I love it! All the supporters knew they were still in contact but this story is all win! Fantastic! Best to Nikki and her family through this difficult time. And to Zac Efron you are a true BFF and as niiki would say: “Four times more beautiful on the inside then the outside”.
Zac and Nikki share a special bond as evidenced by his attention and support for her in her time of need. He does not appear to be bothered by the fact she is more curvaceous then the average Hollywood starlet. They looked marvelous together and I hope to see them in HS2.

She has said on numerous occasions that she loves him. I think it’’s cute that she is so open with how she feels. let me just say that the vile comments by some people on this site are disgusting. Nikki and Zac are great friends and the fact that he cares enough about her to support her says volumes about his character.
Gosh, I wish Zac got meet or see his “zikki” fans. He would be so disgusted. i feel so sorry for him that such a great and talented guy is stuck with such horrendous people as fans.
Remember at some awards show red carpet right after Nikki’s dad’s arrest? Someone asked Brittany Snow if she’d talked to Nikki since it happened, and she said, “I haven’t spoken to her, but I know Zac has.”
I think Zac and Nikki share a special bond which has come about for a few different reasons. One, they appeared in each other’s FIRST big screen movie together and spent many months in Toronto filming. They were both going through the exact same emotions of auditioning and winning a part in a huge musical starring John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, etc. and had to be ecstatic! Zac has said that her parents became like HIS second parents.
Two, Zac and Nikki were on their worldwide Hairspray promotional tour when the Vanessa n u d e picture scandal hit (exactly one year ago this month!) and I will bet he was VERY affected by it and Nikki did a lot of consoling of him while he worried/talked about Vanessa. This probably brought them together and I’m sure he felt he would like to return the favor and console her when this Turks and Caicos scandal hit her.
That’s my two cents. I think they are VERY GOOD friends.
Oh what a commotion a statement can make. I don’t know whether Nikki actually said that. Anyway, I’m glad Zac as her co-star and friend amongst her other friends was around to lend her support as at a crucial time like this, she probably needs it the most. I mean Brittany said to the media in the past that Zac had talked to her for a while, and everyone who isn’t living under a rock knows that Zac is a huge media ticket for raitings and hits. So being a smart/sneaky journalist they probably asked her specifically about him to get a good quote to use as bait for the interview.
and clearl the quote did it’s job or we wouldn’t have all these posts between insecure ”fans” and actual supportive fans of all the camps mentioned. I think we all just need to take a step back and breathe, be happy for Nikki that so far so good after the ordeal and wait for the full interview tomorrow before we judge too much. Which even the interview could be edited to slant at one angle, but regardless I think we should just all wait till then to see how the conversation actually played out.

If you’re going to give zac credit and say he is at a certain level to see nikki for who she is then give him the same credit for knowing & seeing who his own Girlfriend is and has been for the past few years. Goodness in Hollywood does not begin or end with these two. There are plenty of true friendships out there, no one here will ever have a way of knowing about all of them or to be able to judge the reality of them. I highly doubt that Vanessa went t that music rehersal to keep an eye on Zac and Ashley as if you watch all of it Vanessa is’nt their all the time, and to me it just shows that she is being supportive of her boyfriend and her best friend nothing more. At one point Zac ewven turns and smiles at Vanessa so he along with Ashley don’t seem to have a problem wih her being there, and on more than one ocassion it has been reported that Zac has been on the set during a time when he was’nt needed but Vanessa was to give her support again it’s what you do when your in a relationship with someone.
I personally don’t have bad or good feelings about Nikkiregardless of her weight, she was good in Hairspray and I hope she contiunes to do well.

First, it is true this thread has NOTHING to do with Vanessa so why do some of you have to say bad things about her or to mention her at ? When those posters say horrible things about Vanessa it only brings out the tweens who don’t know any better way to defend Vanessa than to say bad things about Nikki. Why does this seem too much like a onesided expression of love be in only friendship? Nikki is ok but her reactions to me are a little bit always over the top. The thing that seriously bothers me about this particular comment is not really Nikki per se because it’s safe to say that there is really nothing going on between her and Zac. What makes me uncomfortable are the insinuations of her fans about the supposed “secret” relationship of the 2.

I have to mention this. I listened to a radio conversation where Nikki and her mom were with the radio presenter/dj and played a trick/prank on her dad. It really wasn’t funny as she pretended that she was going to do a favour for her school/college mate by acting in a film he was making with a nudity scene. Her father went ballistic over the phone. I really felt sorry for him. I thought he was going to have a heart attack when she told him she had already done a pic with her breasts exposed. I somehow, felt that she was taking a swipe at you know who. I don’t know if Zac knows about this, but it didn’t give me a very good impression of her as a person. There, I’ve said it.

There was another video with more of the story on it and the interviewer Thea asked Nikki is there anybody that you were surprised by that reached out too you and Nikki said there was this one amazing person who she loves with every inch of her body and that was Zac Efron who supported her through this time and has been a wonderful support system. So obviously as much as you haters would like to assume Zac and Nikki could not possible be friends they are so get over it. Zac cares enough about his friends to reach out there for them when they need him.
zac and vanessa are on vacation now wonder if they have heard of nikki gushing about zac. i’m sure they’ll shrug it off like they do all other media craziness. it doesn’t affect their private lives.
Zac is kind and obviously one of the few good guys in Hollywood. But it was in poor taste for Nikki to make such an effusive statement about her love for him. It’s way over the top and sort of drags him into her nightmare as some sort of sympathetic figure when he was most likely lending some support as any friend would.

Nikki does have an “over the top” personality, which is OK. But I do agree that she is working for publicity by overstating her connection with Zac. The great thing is that Zac was a friend behind the scenes and did not make any big statements about being there for Nikki, etc, etc….Just another example of Zac’s class.
And it does bring up how much class Vanessa exhibited a year ago when the “scandal” broke. She accepted responsibility, apologized to her fans and never looked for others to blame. No bashing of the person who released the photos, no discussion of how Zac could have been involved or how he was supporting her, blah blah blah…
When people take about how horrible a role model Vanessa was for her mistake, I feel the complete opposite. Parents can teach their children that mistakes happen and that accepting responsibility is critical to moving on. After reading all the posts, I agree with the haters. Her personality is very annoying and she’s something of a drama queen( she knew mentioning Zac would get her press . Good for Nikki . She has had to overcome a lot of hate in her life ( as evidenced by the cruelty on this site) and has such an outgoing personality.

Believe it or not, not all Zanessa fans hate Nikki…in fact you will be suprised to discover that the Zikki thread on fan forum was started by them. Most of the Zanessa fans ended up leaving the thread when it turned from a friendship thread into a shipping thread…a thread I posted on a few time when it was first started.
Look there is nothing wrong with expressing friendship for a member of the opposite sex through words or physical contact…but what she said was out of line.
I have no problem with her satement of him being “an amazing support system.” He has had numerous co-stars comment on his generous nature and easy going personality. The fact that he went from the airport straight to Vanessa following an international flight (when most people would have liked to sleep and shower first) is another example of that.
But statements like….“I love him with every inch of my body and soul,” are out of line considering that the guy is and has been involved in a serious relationship with another woman for 3+ years. Imagine someone saying something like that about your significant other…whether you are a jealous person or not…most people would find it out of line. That type of phrase is a very intimate phrase and and suggests that she cares for him as more than a close friend. Imagine your significant other saying something like that toward someone else and lets see if you are singing the same tune.
This girl bothers me so much! Her actions just get me so annoyed to the point where if i was standing right next to her i would just tell her to shut up.

What I found interesting with the interview was when they asked Nikki if she got support from someone unexpected and Nikki said yes it was Zac, well surely if they’re as close and stayin touch as much as people think then surely his support would’nt have come as a suprise to her, I’m not saing that they’re not friends and that Zac did’nt give her a phone call just like the other HS cast member’s did but to me such a close friend as she make’s Zac out to be any support that he would give me would’nt make me say a line like she did about loving him, I would just say that yea my friend had been in touch to offer his support to which ‘m grateful for and left it at that.
I for one am glad that we’ve had no news of Zac for over a week and that he’s getting some time away from the pap’s, and I don’t see again why people find it so hard to accept that just maybe Zac is with Vanessa all becuase they’re are no offical photo’s does’nt mean anything he did a week on Vanessa’s tour bus and was’nt caught by the press and it was kept low key which I would imagine is the whole point of these get aways to be able to spend some time with his girlfriend and showing how much he cares about what she does and showing hissupport without having to shout it to the world. The last picture that I have seen of Zac is the day that Vanessa left for Mexico when he was getting two smoothies and there’s been nothing since, but Vanessa has been working really hard and good for her now that her tour has finished to be able to get some relax time and if Zac joined her fair play to them. The HSM3 promotions start soon and one of them is going to be in Mexico so just maybe they are having a vacaction there before that starts.
Either way Zac is allowed to give his support to his girlfriend as well as his friend Niki only difference is nbeither Zac or Vanessa shout it to the world when they do.
And I to did’nt like it when Nikki shouted out ‘I Love You Zaccy’ poor Zac looked so uncomfortable with it and did’nt even look at Nikki when she said it. A simple well done would have come across as being much better from a former co-star.

Not once did Zac ever say he had a thing for Nikki. he said they became like family and he said that referring to the whole cast of younger actors. When gossip started about him and Nikki having a “thing” Zac was asked and specifically said she was a great girl but she was DEFINITELY NOT his girlfriend. He never said anything bad about her but it was obvious he never wanted anyone to get the wrong idea about their relationship. And when he was coerced into the kiss on the one TV program he quickly wiped his mouth and later said at the premiere of HS in LA when asked about that kiss how it was like kissing his sister and he even brought up the thing about how he had wiped the kiss off. It was obvious he was very uncomfortable with the whole situation and it shows he is a one girl kind of guy. He obviously takes his relationship with the one he obviously loves very seriously. I for one hope he never changes that about himself. I have no doubt he is supportive and friendly with Nikki but anything else is silly according to Zac’s own words.
BTW, Zac did say “DEFINITELY NOT” when asked about his relationship with Nikki.

Not once did Zac ever say he had a thing for Nikki. he said they became like family and he said that referring to the whole cast of younger actors. When gossip started about him and Nikki having a “thing” Zac was asked and specifically said she was a great girl but she was DEFINITELY NOT his girlfriend. He never said anything bad about her but it was obvious he never wanted anyone to get the wrong idea about their relationship. And when he was coerced into the kiss on the one TV program he quickly wiped his mouth and later said at the premiere of HS in LA when asked about that kiss how it was like kissing his sister and he even brought up the thing about how he had wiped the kiss off. It was obvious he was very uncomfortable with the whole situation and it shows he is a one girl kind of guy. He obviously takes his relationship with the one he obviously loves very seriously. I for one hope he never changes that about himself. I have no doubt he is supportive and friendly with Nikki but anything else is silly according to Zac’s own words.

I just watched the interview and I think she looked pretty, but I’m also more convinced that Zac was just used for positive publicity which she needed.
Like Karen and Rosielee pointed out, the interviewer asked her who SURPRISED her with their support and she said she had to mention Zac.
If he really surprised her, meaning she didn’t expect support from him, then that destroys all the friendship declarations, in fact it means that they are barely cordial, nobody would be surprised by support from fellow colleagues and co-stars, that’s expected in and out of hollywood.
If he didn’t surprise her, it’s clear she mentioned him because he’s the one that draws attention. Imo, the interviewer expected her to mention Zac like it’s a pre-arranged thing to get viewing.
The fact that they cut off what she said about the rest of the cast makes it obvious. People have moved on from HS and Zac is in now.
Elijah Kelly spoke to her on the phone and supported her publicly, defending her to the press at the TCA’s so did Brittany Snow.
Zac spoke to her on the phone but did not speak publicly about her. Why was it Zac who likes things private that was mentioned and not the other two that went out of their way to speak up for her publicly?
I wonder how Elijah and Brittany felt watching this interview.

What is this nasty talk from most of you. God doesn’t judge us based on what we look like, and neither should any one. Mr. Efron is her friend, and he is supporting her. Isn’t that what friends do? Sometimes I just wonder about human kind, and their lack of humanity.

The only other point I want to make is that:
If you disregard the really immature tweens posting here (both Zanessa and Zikki fans),
A lot of Zac and Vanessa fans do not hate Nikki at all. Most of us watched Hairspray and liked Nikki in it. I think she did a pretty good job portraying Tracy with all her exuberance because she is naturally exuberant which is OK.
However, most of us chose to be fans of Z & V , amongst other things, because of their sense of privacy and restraint. The way they protect their relationship and support each other in private without drawing attention to themselves.
We are the kind of people that admire that desire for privacy and letting actions speak louder than words.
Our exasperation with Nikki is that she doesn’t appear to respect that desire despite being friends with Zac. All his other co-stars are protective of his privacy except her. While others (including Zac and Vanessa) let their actions speak for them, her words are the loudest and backed by no visible action.
Let’s look at some actions and words (or lack of words):
Zac and Vanessa had been dating since September 2005, He was paired with Ashley for hsm promotions, a year and half later, they admitted they were a couple.
What clued people in? Their gushing or HSM 2 promo? No, the actions: hanging out, attending events together, holidaying together etc. They were a couple and didn’t need the words to prove they are even though they keep getting pestered for words.
Vanessa and Ashley attended HS premiere to support Zac. We didn’t see Nikki at HSM 2 premiere but we hear more about friendship with Zac from her than from Ashley.
Vanessa had a scandal, Zac was asked about it and he refused to comment. The same day he arrived in LA, we saw him taking her out at midnight for a snack.
Throughout that whole period, we kept seeing him take her out to lunch, to the mall, to events, spending his birthday not with his family but with her etc This is the little we saw yet no one has heard V gushing about how supportive Zac was.
The whole world saw it, she didn’t need to say it and she deliberately kept him out of it.
A year later, tucked away in the back of her CD were two sentences appreciating him but nothing was said to the press.
When Zac had appendicitis, Vanessa was with him, she called his mum and she got him to hospital. Later, we see she and Ash take him to Paty’s for breakfast. neither of the three had mentioned that incident nor have we seen Zac gushing about how supportive V was.
Zac couldn’t drive and when V wasn’t around to drive him, guess who he called, Bubba, his co-star from Summerland way back when they were kids. Bubba also featured in V’s musicvideo with Zac. We’ve not heard Bubba telling everyone that he drove Zac around when he couldn’t drive and how close they are.
We recently saw him at the Audi race tracks with his co-star from Derby Stallion. Audi invited him and he invited his old friends. Nothing was mentioned publicly about the friendship.
He attended two of V’s concerts travelling with her, if fans had not seen him or taken pictures, no one would know.
My point is that based on what he’s said and what we see, Zac is a private person and strongly desires to keep his personal life private. He refuses to give the media the words but lets his actions speak for him.
His family feels the same way, they avoid the media and limelight like a plague.
He found himself a girlfriend who strongly feels the same way and shares the same sentiments, hence why they’ve lasted.
He surrounds himself with friends who respect those sentiments. His co-stars when they get to know him personally respect that as well.
A lot of his fans value that in him and try to respect that.
Nikki is the only one that sticks out. There is nothing wrong with being exuberant and fun. I think she is a nice enough girl but her personality and approach to the media and publicity clashes with Zac’s.
Ever since, HS promo finished, he kept his distance. At palmsprings, he took a pic with Vanessa, Brittany and Nikki and that’s the closest we’ve seen of them publicly.
At the SAG awards with the abundance of media, they didn’t even appear in a group pic together.
At the MTV awards, he rightly acknowledged her in his speech and that was that.
Now there are a lot of Zac’s good friends that we don’t know and haven’t seen him with but none of them gush about their friendship publicly, neither do those we see him with.
It’s just funny that the one friend who oblivious to his desire for privacy keeps gushing about him publicly is the one whose friendship with him is yet to be publicly validated.
If the friendship is private, keep your words and appreciation private.
Here we have public words not backed by any visible acts of friendship.

It is really cringe worthy that I hear comments that Zac and Nikki are supposed to be “rediscovering” each other since they lost touch and had some sort of “romantic deep involvement” during HS. These implications by Nikki’s fans is really what bothers me about this whole scenario.

It does make you wonder and I’m more inclined to go for the latter.

Just thought I would say that Naomi you did an excellent job explaining, and pointing out in detail, this interview with Nikki and what she said about Zac. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%. Zac has to much respect for Vanessa and his relationship. I’m not saying he didn’t wish her well and hope things came out OK with her and her family, but not on the level that she is trying to lead people to believe. I don’t want to seem to be running Nikki down because I liked the movie Hairspray and thought she was real good as well as all the cast members, besides the Icon Veteran Actors. I never like to run people down because of their weight as well. I myself am over weight some.
What I’m going to say is just this, Nikki’s choice of words were out of bounds. If she was a true close friend, she would have known how much he cared for the love he and Vanessa shared as well as the privacy he desires to have as much as possible. This little interview has started rumors just like the ones on this thread tonight.

Obviously, you have not read the comments made by mature, logical fans on the Zac treads. If you had, you would know we seldom (if ever) discuss his looks. Instead we talk about his acting, upcoming rolls, reviews of his movies, how dedicated he is to being an actor, and the fact that he is in a committed relationship.
Have you read any of the discussions we’ve had about Miracle Run, The Derby Stallion, the upcoming 17 Again and Me and Orson Welles? Or all the great reviews we’ve posted that Zac is getting for his role in Me and Orson Welles?
We certainly do NOT consider him any kind of God. We admire him for being the down-to-earth, humble person he is. And we are rooting for his success as an actor.

I would like to make a few points:
-I’m a mature fan (I’m in my twenties and attend college). I like Zac as an actor and for being decent guy, but Zac is also freakin’ hot and I can appreciate that as well. That does not make me or anyone superficial, it makes us sexual beings.
-I don’t Hollisterxgirlx is 11 or 12 yrs old but more like a 20 yr old male college student. I know guys who go to gossip sites to post fake rumors and fake personas for fun.
-Nikki needs to good publicist to help her create a more positive public image. Every interview she comes off like the “sad, desperate girl who can’t get a guy” or “the overweight girl with over the top personality”, and neither image will endear you to the public or to casting directors.

Nikki, however, everytime she refers to him she just talks like she is in love. i mean come on just keep your distance with your friend, it’s okay to express yourself but in a certain way where you dont affect others like his gf, his territory, she cant just come that close cuz she is only a friend, she does not have that privilege as V. and we shouldnt judge her because of her figure, she is a human too. i respect her, but i think she is forgetting that he has a darling gf that he loves and Zac shouldnt be too naive either. this woman has the right to express herself but there is better ways to do it when talking about someone who is taken and you are just no more than a friend.

zac and vanessa got back from vacation on the 14th. monday evening they went to a screening of vanessa’s movie bandslam in burbank.

Vanessa didn’t return from Mexico till the 14th-her last concert was the 13th. That’s not a vacation that’s her tour rapping up and the pixs show her leaving Mexico at the airport the day after her concert (the 14th) with her family, no zac.

Vanessa had a concert in Mexico (1 of 3) on the 13th and the pix show her returning with her family from the concert tour on the 14th. Not a vacation with Zac but a concert tour and he is not in the pixs anyway.
Someone sighted her at the screening and said ZAc was with her but if that person is as accurate as you maybe he wasn’t there.
Are you making this up as you go along? Or just stealing supposed info from others postings on other sites.
And if they are on vacation how exactly is she going to move in to her house today or tomorrow.

Zaccarra, my honest opinion is that Vanessa would probably need the services of an interior designer/decorator before she even moves in. Given her tight schedule, I don’t think it is anytime soon. Most likely in Oct or Nov if the deal has been settled.
I would be lying if I said I was not interested in her new abode. The paps will find it soon enough anyway. At least it is hers and has more privacy and if it is in a gated community like in my country, then the paps will have a tough time squatting outside her new home.
Isn’t Vanessa going to do the video shoot for “Amazed” before she leaves on the HSM3 promotional tour? I would think she’d be doing that this week.
