TRL Canceled — For Real This Time!

This makes me sad because this show was a big part of my teenage years. I rememeber rushing home to watch it right after school and loving it. When I went to NYC in 1999 I got to stand outside the studio… 98 degrees was on that day and their video for “I Do (Cherish You) was their single at the time… lots of teenage girls dressed as brides lol. Hard for me to believe that was almost 10 years ago… But the previous posters are right, TRL hasn’t been the same since Carson Daly left and the network as a whole has pretty much abandoned music videos. Sad to see what MTV has become in the last 10 years alone. The VMAs and TRL were actually important, worth watching and valuable. And don’t even get me started on the reality tv. 10 years ago the shows were The Real World (when it was a legit social experiment and not about how many roomies could hook up with each other) and Road Rules. Both much better than the crap they have on now. They need to go back to their past if the network wants to survive. It’s a big joke now and has been for several years. Sad!

with all the garbage on mtv now-a-days why isn’t mtv put into the same category as hbo and cinemax? I grew up on mtv/vh1 and years later when I flip through and see the garbage this channel has on it’s enough to make you sick. They must be dropping TRL to provide more shows about lesbians and bisexuals.

WHAT HAPPENED WAS THAT NEW UPCOMERS DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE VIDEOS , YOU SHOULD HAVE A STORY BEHIND YOUR SONGS ! YOU JUST JUMPING AROUND IN FRONT OF A CAMERA JUST DOESNT CUT IT , YOU NEED TO BE MORE CREATIVE WITH YOUR VIDEOS SO IT CAN STAND THE TEST OF TIME!

It’s about ******* time!! MTV has sucked for the last 10 years. It got to a point where there were more shows than actual videos. MTV needs to go off the air and put itself out of it’s misery.

who cares!!! TRL went down hill when all the good vj’s left, since then it has flat out sucked, let’s face it guys it’s time for something new! I’d rather watch The Hills anyday and I’m no hills fan!

I discovered my favorite band there, ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This is crap. Now, where can I scream around Times Square and hold banners without looking like an idiot? :*(
