Grey’s Anatomy lead actress Ellen Pompeo shines on the October 2008 cover of Allure, which was shot in New York City by Michael Thompson. Here is a preview of her interview:
On catching the acting bug as a child while watching the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall: “Afterward, I stood up and said, ‘That’s what I want to be. They’re alive. That’s what I want to do.’ … [But] I was very sad and introverted as a child, and I would never, ever have had the confidence or the extroverted nature to be in a school play.”
On being was surprised at Grey’s Anatomy’s popularity: “When I did the pilot, I thought, ‘I can’t stand medical shows. This will never get on.’”
On fashion being one of her passions: “Fashion is an art form like any other. All artists love all art. Anything creative—cooking, literature, art—I love it all.”
On having one piece of advice for Meredith: “Just move on. There are plenty of fish in the sea.”

LOL….I agree, but move on? Pfft, if Meredith moved on, SHE’d be out of a job.
Well, this again is another beautiful shoot…but, I think the actors and actresses should stop taking the jobs from models…it’s simply not fair…that’s why there are actresses, and then there are models…I’m not say that there can’t be a crossover…I’m just a little bored with seeing an actress doing a models job in the fashion magazines.

OMG. This is not at all what she looks like!!! Airbrushing is a good thing! If fact…she is very unattractive…..love the show though.

I love Ellen’s photoshoot,her hair are so much blonder in the cover, it really suits her but red hair, platinum hair and brown hair also make her great. Ellen is really gorgeous.

I was at the Y-3 at New York, she’s really beautiful and blonder hair are really great on her, plus she’s a really nice person,she signed us autographs and talked with us, she’s really wonderful inside and out.
One of their worst issues ever. Very disappointing. Most articles weren’t great and the Pompeo article/photos were very lackluster.
Allure is quickly becoming a piece of trash.

I hope that each pic is on on entire page because they seem so artistic, Ellen is really gorgeous, she seems to have a lot of fun doing this photoshoot! I really love her taste in fashion and I like that she recognizes her mistake, the dress she wore in Monaco wasn’t her best choice!

#43 LouLou I’m not dumbed, I know that the cover has been photoshopped but people saying that they don’t recognize her are really exaggerating.
Her main features are not touched: eyes, eyebrows, nose, slim lips and teeth ( even her front tooth default is here) and cheeks shape.
Mainly touched: the scare near her lip is not here, same for her expression’s wrinkles around her eyes and freckles.
A part this points I still think people exaggerate when they say it’s not her and that she’ totally photoshopped, plus every mags and every stars is photoshopped, it’s what makes people fantasize.
And this isn’t some photoshop which will make me dislike Ellen POMPEO or any other star that I like.
I recognised her, but the really blonde hair threw me off, like I was…is that really her…..lol.
It was a 2 day shoot, I hope we get lots of pictures.
Those pictures look outrageous and totally fun!

About the cover : when I look at magazine covers, I usually want to punch those who invented Photoshop. With this one, I just want to slap them. At least, I can stil recognise her.
The other pictures, however, look much much more interesting, especially the “Red hair Goddess” (thank you for that one Helena, chère compatriote ! ).

I love Ellen and GA is one of my favorite shows because of her. I got the magazine and they have some great pictures of her. It is artsy and her pictures are great. However, I think she is actually more beautiful when she is not made up. Thanks for the candid shots of Ellen. With them doing 16 hour days, I am surprised you get any of her. Thanks JJ.
