OlderBrad Pitt Fights For Gay Marriage
Brad Pitt has donated $100,000 to fight California’s Proposition 8, a ballot initiative that would ban same-sex marriage in the state.
“Because no one has the right to deny another their life even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another, and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8,” the 44-year-old actor said in a statement.
Political strategist Chad Griffin, who is coordinating efforts in the entertainment industry to defeat the measure, added, “It is our hope that others in the entertainment industry will step up and match Brad Pitt’s heroic commitment to quality and defeating Prop. 8. This isn’t a special interest issue - this measure affects every business and every family. With California’s budget and the national economy in chaos, the last thing we need is an unnecessary measure that threatens health benefits and protections for children.”

Brad is in his forties, HE has said in numerous interviews that he and Angelina are not getting much sleep…hey the wear and tear of children shows! Get over it.
He is clearly happy and not worried about his looks, the sign of a truly confident man.

Oops, I made a mistake. It’s the opposite. Now Ellen, who recently married her longtime gf, Portia de Rossi, will love Brad even more, and work harder to raise funds for the NOLA homes.

Hey pitt #15.. I think that is precisely the reason he got divorced. So that he could have the life he truly desired.. and the happiness he realized was within his grasp.. it would have hurt Jennifer more for him to stay in an unhappy marriage that could not be fixed with two people going in completely different directions..

Everyone has a right to leave a relationship when that relationship runs out it means to continue anylonger ,when a relationship is not satsfying and when it is like his former marriage both parties agreed to end it for a whole lot reasons and promised each other to remain friends. She shouldn’t betrayed her promise and went on her ways to turn the world against him and his woman.

I like what he said. But I don’t support gay marriages. I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman. I support civil unions for gays. I love Brad and think he is hot, but do not support him on this issue.

I dont think you read or understood what Mr Pitt said. He is saying that people should be able to marriage any human that they chose without being discriminated against. It also means that If they choose to get out of the marriage after a period of time they should be allowed just like any other married couple. Brad and Jennifer chosed to go their seprate way, they did not choose to fight for the marriage.

However (and I’m a bit vague in this), I think I remember reading or hearing from TV recently that she is a pacifist, and will therefore not agree to Israel dropping a few you-know-what on Iran to knock out, or at least postpone, their ability to go nuclear, so who is left to do it? You have one guess!
Iran is certainly not giving up. I don’t know about you, but I can understand Iran’s pov. Why should they give up?
They are a sovereign nation. If other nations have nuclear power, how can anyone deny a country who wants it too, and is able to afford it, to go for it.
The thing is, Israel feels threatened if/when Iran goes nuclear. So, another big problem for our poor world!
On the election:
BHO will benefit from the economic situation. His approval rating goes up, but I hear how MCain can hit him there.
BHO plans to raise capital gains tax, which is something that won’t help the economy (who is going to invest and create jobs?).
If BHO changes his mind (because the economy is bad), how can he keep his promises to the voters? The debates are going to be very interesting!

STFU. He desires to have children. Jen doesn’t. Jen has the right to live the way she wants. How do you know Jen wants to continue the marriage? Maybe she wants to wait a little longer and Brad doesn’t. Good for him for fighting for what he wants. It worked out for both Jen and Brad. They are happy and have move on.

i totally agree. I’m not gay but thats my favorite hangout to go out with my niece and nephew what a blast. Why don’t everyone let them have there freedom to do as they please and to love who ever they want. I’m so tired of the bull crap,but when i go out all my new friends love that i accept them for who they are, and God Bless my parents they’ve taught well well never to be prejudice against anyone. It all starts in the home. Now i have raised my daughters the same way and very proud of it..
