It’s not the first time Meg Ryan has talked about Quaid’s cheating. She said it when he filed for divorce, too. The question is why she thinks anybody cares after all this time. NEITHER of them have a career worth talking about now.

Usually when people start talking about shite they did 20 years ago they’re paving the way for some piece of dreck they’re about to foist on the unsuspecting public. I just pray to God that she and Tom Hanks haven’t cooked up a senior citizen rom-com - “Toothless In Seattle” or “You’ve Got Depends”….

I am in a same-sex marriage in Canada. It saddens me that Americans don’t have the same right. I am married to an American but I cannot work in the U.S. Anyone in a heterosexual marriage has this right. America has a long way to go. So does Canada in many respects, but at least we have this basic fundamental right to be with whom we want and to be recognized by our legal instituions as such. My partner, a former employee of the U.S. Navy, has the right to work in Canada and is a legal resident. As an actor, I still have to remain closeted in order to book work on straight films. I don’t run around in pink underwear. I don’t speak with a lisp or have a high voice. People don’t know I’m gay unless I tell them or introduce them to my partner. I don’t want to be seen as someone special because I’m gay. I just want to be recognized as a decent human being with talent. I wonder if the world will ever get to this level of acceptance - it should be a non-issue. Thank heavens there are advocates for basic rights in America. One would have thought your consitution would support this, but clearly it does not. All americans should be fighting for all humans to have the same rights in your country, as stated in amendment 14 of your constitution. Brad Pitt, John Doe, or Jane Doe should not have to donate any money to this cause. This shouldn’t even be a cause. Think about it. If Mr. Pitt didn’t have to donate money to this, he could have built another house or two in New Orleans to help people- gay, black, white, latino, christian, muslim, or whoever, live in a fair and just world. Clearly the world is not fair. The U.S. ‘democratic’ system is ambivolent to the rights of certain sects of the population. This is hipocracy at its best. If basic rights are finally realized in America, perhaps economic and environmental issues would take precendence and we could really make a global impact to the plight of humanity. Food for thought…

Unfortunately, Mr pitt is very wrong about the idea that legalizing gay marriage will not hurt anyone. It will hurt the family’s that are raising their children in the the way they choose, because if this passes, the education system will have complete free reign to teach children as young as 5 years of age, that gay marriage is fine. The schools will teach this without parental consent, taking away a parents right to raise their children as they wish, if for religious or personal belief, but it doesn’t matter why their against it, its their constitutional right, gay marriage isn’t. The government will be taking away a parents right to choose what their children learns. So don’t say no one will get hurt, parents will get hurt, and so will the young children who will be subjected to this argument between their parents and teachers, when they are too young to decide for themselves.

Everyone needs to shut up about who is being killed in Iraq and crap! Have we come so far just to worry about other people instead of ourselves? Yes, the money should be split into found to help people who are dying. BUT ONLY IN THE UNITED STATES! Gay marriage is important. There should be no question about it! Go brad!
