ok so he has a private doctor, that still doesn’t take away the pain. as for looking cranky, yeah if i had a group of photographers taking pictures of me and/or strangers bothering me i’d downright irriated.
nowhere in the contract he signed with the bond franchise does it say daniel craig has to smile and be happy to his life invaded by strangers all the time. as for satsuki; i think i know exactly what her attitude is towards the press and/or fans who keep bothering them. her whole expression is saying “go away and stop bothering us”.

I’ve always thought that she was there for her own benefir and all she can get. I can’t imagine what on earth he supposedly sees in her. In these pictures , I see no evidence of caring really between the two. I agree that he looks ill in some regard. Certainly not content and robust.

Yes, he might have hurt his ribs when he hurt his arm, it’s the usual thing if a fall is involved. If he walloped someone then maybe the other person gut punched him. If it’s an old injury he sustained during filming but couldn’t get a procedure done on it until now then he might be recouperating from that.
If he tripped taking out the rubbish he should either create less empty bottles , lol, or have the gf take it out instead. :)

The possibilities are endless here but we will probably never get to know.

When I hurt my left arm, my gf walked with me linking my right arm everywhere I went, sweet as that was, it made me feel like an 80 year old..lol.

Maybe Satsuki doesn’t suffer fools gladly (as the saying goes). Maybe she doesn’t go to work to make freinds, she goes to get the job done. I’ve not heard one report or one story about Satsuki being ‘nasty’ to any of Daniel’s fans. Maybe she’s weary of people, thinking that they are only being nice/friendly to her to get to Daniel.

BTW… below is the only comment on the Mr. Paparazzi’s site about the photos. Another “cat” (we’re everywhere!) seems to be disappointed with Sats overall attitude. IMHO, both her and Daniel are probably just stressed out with being celebs. I’m sort of torn by how much sympathy I want to give to either of them. On one hand, I don’t think I could EVER live like that - but then if you want the money, fame, fans, etc. this is the toxic by-product. Or to run out an old cliche.. “You sometimes have to take the s**t with the sugar”. Hopefully, the couple will be all smiles come the premieres…looking fab! :)

“I must comment, I do not think I have ever seen anyone so sad as this woman. She looks like she is going to cry. I really do feel so sorry for her. THis is not the first photo I have seen her looking so miserable and unhappy. It seems that almost EVERY candid photo of her is a sad one- and I am NOT talking about the red carpet pics. And I do NOT believe that the reason she is always so sad is bec the paps are there. Daniel’s good friend Sam Taylor Wood and her husband have just split up..maybe that affected them as having friends who split makes you think that marriage might not be a great idea?? It does affect you.

i’m not talking about her being nasty and less than polite to daniel’s fans. it goes deeper than that. in this industry; daniel has to meet with a lot of people not just BR. i’m talking people in public relations, lawyers etc. and unfortunately, more often than not, he brings satsuki to these business meetings. you notice i say the word business, not social. trust me when i tell you that those of us who are present when the meetings are taking place are not interested in getting to daniel. BUT WE DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPECT SATSUKI TO BE POLITE.

i will give you a case in point; daniel was in los angeles recently to go to a meeting. he didn’t meet with BR. one of the people who was present at the meeting after seeing satsuki come in the building with daniel turned to an associate and said “oh god, why do we have to deal with that woman?”. for the record i wasn’t there that day but i heard about what he said from several people. now, tigerlily, do you understand.

Now I think I understand why this butt-ugly woman is with him. She has him believing that he really needs her business sense so to speak. She demands the perks of his lifestyle in return.

Daniel needs to realize then that he might not need her after all. Is he that co-dependent?

I agree, she has the perks and a good salary. There might be “love” involved but it sounds like more business.

I read one post from someone saying that they are both concentrating on his career.

While she is “helping” him with the business side, she is carving out her own career as being a “top” force to be dealt with within the film business.
She is being exposed to top notch people and making sure her name is getting known aside from being his gf.
Daniel is helping her by having her help him. Simple. I think he wants her respected as a business woman not just as his gf. That’s his aim here.

If things between them go belly up, she will have then have her options.

To #98 i understand what you are saying, but what i’m trying to say is it doesn’t matter what Satsuki looks like, what clothes she wears or how rude she is to people, Daniel still loves her.
She’s still by his side 24/7. She’s wearing a huge chunk of ice on her ring finger from him. He’s let her become involved in the business side of his career, so he must trust and value her input/opinion.
Let’s face it if she is as rude as you say she is, Daniel must know about it/seen it. He obviously knows whats she’s like and it doesn’t bother him as she’s still there because thats what he wants.

Going out on a limb here…maybe that was the intention all along - a business agreement covered up by a “romance”, a ring, hints at marriage, affection, etc. Of course, the opposite could be happening as well - business (still) but blossoming into romance. Either way that would explain Sats being there 24/7 and at business meetings.

Once again who knows? But it should be interesting to see how this plays out IMO next month when QOS comes out with all the premieres. I hope for the best for both of them. IF she is still by his side then I would expect an announcement - official engagement, marriage, pregnancy, etc. at that time - or at least in the coming months.

Even the most romantic of couples don’t hold hands all the time… but the only other casual pic (not official) on Jared recently of the pair is the Daniel Craig is Saks Sexy where they (Dan and Sats) are coming out of Saks and looking for money to tip the valet. Walking together and smiling but not holding hands. That was before the Pinapple Express premiere - quite possibly the same day.

DC looks as if he is holding hands with some bloke in dark shorts. Tranny by any chance?? Too fugly to be female. I don’t think there is enough make-up in the world to help either.

It’s all here, he said it was a long term thing that needed fixing. Its an old injury.
He answered these questions in a Soho hotel, I think when the pictures were taken they were on their way there as the sling pics are them arriving in Soho.

I don’t think there is a problem in their relationship. I think they are still in love and still very much a couple, don’t know why, just a feeling i have!! As i said before she’ll be at the QOS premiere, styled and looking beautiful, big smiles all round and he’ll be clutching her hand behind his back. I really think too much is being read into these pics. But that’s just my opinion.

jj: I have to least give the woman some credit for rolling the dice and coming up the jackpot. She met him before Bond (what was the status of the relationship I don’t know) and was hovering by waiting to catch him. If he was looked over for the Bond role she would have been “stuck” with a high b-list actor - still better than being an assistant or whatever - and much better than waiting tables in LA. Either way from a business standpoint and if she wants to further her career in the entertainment business it was a stroke of genius.

Maybe Daniel is obvious to it all (if what they say is true) and truly in love. In that case, like I said before, it will take a major bad event to bring this to a relationship to a grinding halt. But this is taking into consideration that she’s furthering her career also. If that’s not the case, she will be with him through the bad times as well.

I saw a pic of Satsuki on holiday in Panama, she looked rough and he was walking very far apart from her.
Now they did not know they were being photographed then like the sling pics…and they still weren’t happy. How many excuses can there be?
In one pic, he goes off and plays handball with someone and she just walks on.
It was on his 40th birthday I think, she had on a creased shirt and a short skirt.

I guess that’s what I don’t understand about the make-up. Like I’ve said before the style now seems to be a no-make-up look - which is fine IF you can pull it off (I can’t and I’ve seen many women who cannot as well - but like Sats they do not care). But the times that she wears appropriate make-up she looks IMHO pretty good. Her best features on her face are her eyes and she needs to play them up.

The woman is so friggin ugly, and I don’t get why he isn’t embarrassed to death to be seen with her. The majority of men wouldn’t even look twice at her. There are just so many pretty women in the world that it is hard to understand a man choosing her. Especially if the personality is awful, so I don’t understand.

Oh come on people there have been times when Satsuki has looked absolutely stunning. Take the Casino Royale premiere in Paris, she looks gorgeous. Hair, make-up and dress where perfect. And Daniel is holding her tightly around the waist making them look like a couple who are head over heels in love.
She also looked gorgeous at the 2007 Oscars, the Infamous uk premiere and at the Flashbacks Of A Fool premiere.
Not everyone dresses up all the time, we all have our day’s when we just throw on any old thing so to speak. We can’t be beautiful all the time!! ; )

In my opinion Satsuki does all the thinkinlg for both of them. It seems that she leads Daniel around, tells him what to do but not what to wear becasue she is not good at dressing herself. It appears that she handles all the day to day stuff like paying the valet and making appts etc. Nothing wrong with that - all he has to do is study his scripts and act which is what we care about not all the other stuff.

Once again the tabloids are off, his black eye wasnt prevelant in the sling pics so when he was walking in NY apparently after that, how come the eye was black? They took it from the other stories, and his arm isn’t fractured. How can he suffer a fracture and continue filming?
It was an old injury.

I think Satsycho has to get over her jealousy about Kate, Sienna, Nicole and whoever else she gets crazy about. Daniel stayed with her so doesn’t that prove to her that she is the one he wants? Atleast he is now holding her hand off the red carpet - and she is wearing a diamond engagement ring what other proof does she need!!!!!!

You may not know one but you now know of one - Daniel. He likes skinny manly looking women that his choice and it seems to be working for him. I myself prefer women that look like women and have some curves and substance but he doesn’t so be it.

If what is being said about her personality is true then one would question Daniel’s character as well. Why would he choose to be with someone who has a horrible personality and also unattractive? IIRC I stated in some Daniel/Sats thread that maybe she is the only one that puts up with him and his character/personality. Good relationships benefit both parties. She obviously has what he wants in a woman… and most of that IMHO is something we can’t see.

In interviews that Dan has given - especially when he mentions relationships - he comes across as sort of insecure at times and in need of reassurance.

Taking on the James Bond role which even before the success of Casino Royale was a monumental leap in fame for him - must have been daunting to someone of his character (if I’m reading his personality right). He went from being basically a “character” actor to a A-lister.

So in summary, what we have is a relationship that goes deeper than “skin deep” and is more complex than most - especially in the entertainment industry where looks are a priority.

Just my 2 cents… :)

I think alot of people are too harsh and judgemental when it comes to Satsuki and her relationship with Daniel. No one truly knows what she is like as a person, business is business and i know alot of people who have their business heads so to speak.
They are obviously in love and happy other wise they wouldn’t be together.
Why do people dislike her so much? I ask this question alot but no one seems to answer it. If you don’t find her attractive why should that make you dislike her? And not everyone is always stylish and well dressed, and that includes Daniel!!! And if she is not very nice when it comes to business, what does that matter to you if you don’t have to deal with her.

so yeah, it could have happened between daniel and eva on the set of casino royale and between olga and daniel on set of qos; even if satsuki was there. like robin gibson, satsuki may know full well what’s happening. and like robin gibson, satsuki may not have any intention of leaving him. love is blind so they say.

To be honest… I’d say mid 30s. People age differently and depending on hereditary and the elements - you can either look younger or older. IMHO I think she looks older than she really is - maybe too much sun when she was younger?

I’m 49, pale (not a sun-worshiper) and still have oily skin (which the downside is that I still break-out). People who have seen me w/o (the very few) say I can pass for 40 anyday, and 35 years if my skin is clear. With make-up and no break-outs 35 years easily.

A quick story…In 2004 (45 years), I went with my parents to a casino. I lost track of them and went outside then going back into the casino I was stopped by security. They wanted me to take off my shades and show ID. Took off the glasses and one security guy said maybe 27 or 28 years. The other looked at my ID and shook his head and said it must be the hairstyle??? Unfortunately, I spent most of my money on the machines so I couldn’t give a tip…

Now back to the saga of Dan and Sats. I think the problem that some in the entertainment business (including a few on the threads) have with Sats is the definition of her role… what is she? A girlfriend, fiance, personal assistant…. wife? Now obviously, if she is any of the above, she’s looking out for Dan (and herself) in most aspects of his personal and professional life. Dan also might be using her as a “heavy” in these encounters. He may come across as a “very nice fellow” in interviews which are usually one on one. But on a business level if there is something he doesn’t like, why not have Sats take the heat since he has her accompany him? If enough people complain or ignore her at these meetings she can just retreat and be in a more submissive role.

I hate to sound like a broken record…. BUT if QOS is the big hit I believe it will be… expect not only Sats to be around at Daniel’s side pretty much 24/7 but also for her and Dan to get their way.

I think they were walking and being comfortable…I don’t think he’d jog with a bad arm, the pounding (be nice Tiger) would hurt it.

The gf looks frightened to be in NY if you look at her face…he doesn’t look too sure either although I think they were determining when to walk across, NY is very confusing.

Ok so i’ve just listened to the full version of Another Way To Die, and i actually think it’s quite good. I know alot of people don’t like the song, but then again there is alot of Bond fans out there who don’t like anything to do with the new rebooted Bond so to speak. I don’t think they are going to be happy until Daniel is replaced by a 6ft actor with dark hair!!
The song is very moody and dark which i think will fit the film perfectly, just as Daniel fit’s the part of James Bond so perfectly!!

she is pretty but not what i would call beautiful. you want beautiful look at eva green; not that is beautiful. having said that, she needs to be consistent in her choice of hair style and clothing. a gorgeous smile does not hide a god awful dress; one of many she has worn. it also does not hide messy hair, clothes that are not properly pressed, sweaters that you can see a bright colored bra through, and jeans that are so long she’s actually walking on the hem. get a stylist girl, preferably the same one that eva works with.

production assistant is menial /low pay/ contract work/ unsociable hours/ travel and long periods spent away from home.

it involves alot of admin work and org stuff like accounts/ various expenses/ hotels and travel arrangments/ hiring equipment/ studios/ dealing with getting permission to use copyrighted music.
also have to copy scripts and call sheets and make sure everyone gets a copy.

Whoever is saying that Satuiki has extensive knowledge of film business is wrong.

in Infamous he made a good effort but kept on drifting in and out of character, at one point he even drops his US accent, he is overshadowed by Clifton Collins more subtle potent perf. in Capote
in the Bond film he is insecure about his masculinity and pumps up to show that he is a killer contrast that with Javier Bardem as Chigurh he just changes his thinking. in other words he acts.

The role in Defiance is still not as deep as I’ve seen him in previous roles (yes I can see this from the trailer)..he still looks like he’s too worried about looking good.

In The Mother as Darren, yes he was a litle overweight, unkempt, etc…the role as Tuvla in Defiance looks as if he just stepped out of a five star luxury hotel onto the set not living in the forest roughing it.

I’m not bashing him as I think he has a great talent but something has to change about his choices and presentation of his characters.

whether he should immerse himself more in a role is beside the point. in hollywood it’s the subject matter that dictates whether a film/actor will get nominated. there are people here in LA that are talking about the film already. these are people who have seen the early rushes and in some cases have already seen the film.

daniel is has taken the role of a real person. a man, along with his brothers, who saved the lives of over a thousand jews. tuvia beliesky is a hero in eyes of some of people who’ve seen this film. for them, giving daniel craig the oscar nomination may be their way of honoring the real man.

The Academy isnt going to dish out out an Oscar just because they want to honour someone although considering the subject of this film, there will be a lot of partial voters I’m sure. There also has to be some talent and depth there, although considering some Oscar winners, I tend to believe they overlook that at times.
I hope Daniel will not win one just based on that kind of thinking, I would want to win an Oscar based on the fact that my role blew people out of the water. I’m sure he would feel the same way.

where daniel gets classfied as a lead actor will depend a lot on how well he does in defiance. and how well his performance is received by the critics. the reality is that for daniel doing bond films will have to end one day. just as they did for pierce brosnan, roger moore, and sean connery.

the trick is to be known for more than just bond. to get directors like martin scorcese and casting agents to see be able to see daniel for a role that has nothing to do with james bond. that’s what daniel is trying to do. that’s why he did defiance and why he’s filming lucifier. also why he will more than likely do hannibal as well. daniel wants to duplicate the achievement of sean connery; win an oscar for a role totally different to that of james bond.

Dont mean to be cynical but I don’t think Daniel will get an Oscar nod for Defiance. It may get other ones for Best Cinematography, maybe even Best Film. I don’t think H/Wood and the Academy rates Daniel as a force to be reckoned with yet and playing Bond, whether you think it or not, is somewhat of a noose for him.
