I really do think Mischa Barton is stunningly beautiful, but she’s not quite as breathtaking now as she was when the O.C first began, and she was catepaulted to the stratosphere of it-girl status. Her beauty is starting to look a little tired now, and imo, this is the time to really throw herself into her acting now, and stop trying to play the fashionista/trend-setter(get rid of that conceited hand-on-the-hip pose, for one thing) because, even though she has a stunning beauty, she is not the freshed-faced hot commodity on the market that she once was (the DIY arrest and marijuana didn’t help, of course) and whatever it-girl status she had is now draining away by the second like sands in an hour glass. She now needs to qualify her place in Hollywood with outstanding acting talent. I would compare her, looks-wise, for example, to someone like Mia Kirshner. Mia Kirshner is an actress with a very inque beauty who was absolutely stunning in her late teens, and into her twenties. Her looks have began to fade a little, but it hasn’t mattered, because she has compensated all the way with outstanding acting performances in addition to her beauty. Rachel McAdams is, likewise, another stunning actress who has ensured her longevity and re-affirmed her value with consistenty strong performances.
