Penn Badgley to ‘90210′ Girls: Eat A Cheeseburger!
Gossip Girl hunk Penn Badgley heard that the blogosphere is abuzz about 90210’s skinny starlets and how they are too thin for TV.
The 21-year-old actor told Popeater that he’s “never been proponent of the thin L.A. girls” and is glad that the females on his hit CW show “aren’t bone-thin.” (He’s currently romancing his on-and-off-screen girlfriend Blake Lively.)
Penn had some advice for the girls of 90210 (also a CW show): “I hope they eat a double cheeseburger or something.”
Sounds like there’s a feud brewing between the casts of 90210 and Gossip Girl!

whether penn badgley is wrong or right, its really not his place to be saying rude things like that.
its the same as saying “oh yea, shes fat she should stop munching those Twinkies”
but no one says stuff like that in public to fat people.
the fact is being thin is much more socially acceptable than being fat thats why people feel like its okay to humiliate and attack skinny people publicly.
Also, im 20, 5′5 and eat everything you can imagine (indian food, italian, subs, chipotle, sushi blah) but i have never weighed more than 90 pounds in my entire life..been to every doctor possible and they give me the same answer- high metabolism, and i will be this way until i have children. And when people say things like Penn Badgely it is actually hurtful because I feel like people are punishing me for being myself. I thought i was pretty comfortable in my own skin til i found out that thats what guys really think.
Taylor Momsen is the only girl that is as skinny as them. I don’t think Blake Lively and Leighton Meester look healthy. Whoever thinks Taylor is just skinny because she’s growing into her body is insane, she’s been loosing weight too fast to use the excuse of “growing into her body”. Kudos to Penn for being against the anorexic stars of 90210!
This is really sad. I mean the girls from gossip girl are thin but they are healthy. These girls from 90210 definitely aren’t and I’m sorry it’s not setting a good example because some people probably watch it thinking oh that’s how I should look. This skinny **** really needs to stop!! I know people that are like these girls and it’s just rediculous! I don’t understand it because it’s really not attractive. I would never in my entire life want to be that skinny.
They look too skinny, which makes them look like white trash and is gross. It’s the networks fault for letting these skels on TV.
I don’t think either Blake or Leighton are skinny. They’re average. The 90210 girls, especially Jessica, well that’s a different story.
Am I the only one bothered by Penn Badgley’s PSEUDO-intellectual expression? He has this “I am way cooler than you, and I only listen to indie bands no one knows” look about him. But if he was so intellectual then why’s he dating a bimbo like Blake Lively.
He should stop buying cheeseburgers for Blake..

The girls on Gossip Girl are alot more healthy looking. The girls on 90210 are CRAZY thin and are almost to the point of how Nicole Richie was way back in the bagging bathsuit days. I would NOT want to see Shenae Grimes or Jessica Stroup in a bathing suit. Although we saw Shenae on the first episode thank god for not to long.
