Zac Efron - Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party 2008
Zac Efron plays Mr. Cool at the 2008 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The 20-year-old High School Musical heartthrob, who popped his jacket collar a lot on the red carpet, attended the event on the rooftop of The Los Angeles County Museum of Art with on-and-off-screen girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.
Zac was Teen Vogue’s cover boy for their October 2008 issue. The month before, Vanessa graced the cover of the teen mag.

I believe they are there “promoting” themselves so to speak. They have separate careers so they need to pose separately. You will notice nobody else is posing with someone either. I’m sure we will see them together often once the HSM3 touring begins. Does anyone know if they are going to be at the Emmys on Sunday?

The thing is, when Zac and Vanessa pose together, it absolutely steals the spotlight from everyone else. Have you ever seen the videos? The photographers are ALL yelling at Zac and Vanessa asking them to turn left, turn right, face front. It becomes a mad house. And then there are more pics of them than anyone else at the event. Remember Palm Springs? They got so much criticism for “stealing” other peoples thunder.
I think they’re being very mature in doing the red carpet thing separately. After all, they are at the party together.

Totally agree I mean it’s not their fault that the pap’s love them together and I’m sure that they would love to just have a few photo’s done and then the press move on and don’t intentioanlly attend these kind of events to take the spotlight off other’s just the opposite in fact.
And long before they hooked up as a couple they were seperate people and even now deserve to be able to be photograped seperate after all they had both appeared on the same magazine but not as a couple but as Zac and Vanessa seperately.
It was nice to see Zac out after nearly two week’s and I can imagine that part of the reason he look’s so happy and relaxed is because of that he was able to get away from the pap’s and have some time to himself now weather that was with Vanessa and/or his family only he know’s but whatever it was i certainly put his lovely smile back on his face and he look’s refreshed, even my daughter said the same.
And they were at the event together which is the main thing and before we know it HSM3 will start so as it’s been said there will no doubt be plenty of together photo’s then which is fair enough as it’s a film they have both been in so all is good.

What makes you feel bad about these pictures? Did you notice how Vanessa is leaning into Zac in the picture where they are sitting together obviously watching what was going on? When they were leaving it looks like a couple who has been together for some time and are ready to go home together after a night out. Vanessa is carrying a bag probably that is a gift from the night from Vogue and is either putting something away in her purse it ready to get something out which seems very natural in that situation.
BTW, thanks for the pics, Naomi. I knew they would be caught by someone in at least one picture. LOL

fyi Bill, a lot of guys dress like him, just because he does it better does not mean he’s gay. Zac looks amazing, and he has such great style, you may notice that a lot of guys do these days, maybe your the one that lagging behind.
Zac and V look fine in those pics, I wish everyone would stop reading into every little thing, not everyone smiles 100% of the time, or is together as a couple every second of the day. This was a work thing, not the time for them to be a couple, just enjoy the pics and let it go.

I didn’t want to mention that little irritating paranoia problem that crops up for you once in a while…LOL Anyway, that VMA blog was full of it. Even the little video of Zac and Vanessa afterwards seems like the are perfectly happy with each other. I would definitely say they could have been in a ‘not-so-good” mood that night due to the host of the show who was NOT funny and was a jerk. They had to listen to trashy remarks about friends of their’s, Zac was seated by other people, not even Corbin and Ashley—did you see the look on his face when they caught him in the crowd? He was not with anyone he was friends with and he looked tired and disgruntled BEFORE Vanessa was ever able to get there. Then she supposedly got held up by security which I’m sure didn’t set well with Zac either. Also, I believe you are a reader of Us magazine and I believe it was that magazine which had a little “blip” about the two of them backstage together at the VMA’s and Vanessa was complaining about her wobbly heels and it said she got a “cuddle from boyfriend Zac Efron”. Somehow those observers did feel the same as the people who wrote in the VMA blog. VMA and MTV, all the same, they never say anything positive.

I love that they did the red carpet separately. They need to establish and maintain individual identities. They are not Sonny and Cher for heaven’s sake. That said, I’m sure there will be tons of “together” things in the coming weeks as HSM3 promotions heat up!

Okay…it has to be illegal to look this good…for both of them, but since it’s Zac’s thread…my goodness, Efron, you just keep on getting better looking every day!
And, ugh, I agree with you…seriously, I’m glad I’m not in a position where I have people randomly picking apart my relationship based on every smile or non-smile for a random 2 seconds of my life! And, who has ever been in a relationship in which neither of you ever stopped touching in some way, looking at each other directly, or smiling like idiots? Huh? First of all, if you look at the group of pics as a whole, they seem happy and relaxed and all good. Second, and I don’t suspect this at all but since some seem so bent on thinking it, if they did have a disagreement or argument ever…omg…the world would not end! One disagreement/frown/etc. does not a relationship end…not a good one…and I’m thinkin’ after 3 yrs, they’ve got a good one. There are some people who get really, really, really, really angry that Zac and Vanessa have lasted 3+ years. How can that be possible in Hollyweird? I also saw confirmation on that screening. There were definitely people there. But it wasn’t for the cameras so there wouldn’t be pics whether these two were there or not. She went home with and stayed with him after the Vma’s, which was already a tiring and hectic day for both of them. At this event in the ones of them sitting down, those are candids and they are watching something, obviously they are focused on that and not on each other. They sat next to each other and left together for crying out loud. And dropped off the face of the earth? They are people, their personal lives are not for our entertainment. It is a good things paps couldn’t find them & take pictures. People need to stop making assumptions and causing rumors to start based on nothing.

The only time they have walked the red carpet together (as a couple) was for Palm Springs and that is because she was his date. They had pics at the TCA’s but they didn’t walk together…they met up on the red carpet and had a few pics together…but they didn’t walk. They don’t have to walk 24/7…especially if they are there to promote their own careers and have seperate interviews they have to do.

They didn’t fall off the face of the earth. After the VMA’s, Vanessa went home with Zac, the next morning there are pics of him getting 2 juices at Robeks, we see Zac dropping off Vanessa at her parents’ house, then a little later she and her parents and sister are seen leaving LAX for Mexico where she went to finish her tour. She is seen in pictures ready to leave Mexico on September 14 which is only 4 days prior to the Teen Vougue event, and then we see Vanessa and Zac at the event together. Sometimes we’ve been so used to seeing them everyday on the internet that we think it has been weeks since they were together but it is not so.
There was a cute clip of them on Extra at the Teen Vogue party that I just watched and they were showing the prank where Zac was getting a soaking on the set of HSM3.

Being in the public eye all the time is never easy, especially being photographed at your worst. They don’t have to be smiling 24/7 in each others company. I’m sure they do have their arguments and spats like any normal couple and are not in the best mood every minute of their waking hour. If they were forever beaming in each other’s company like our plastic couple Heidi/Spencer, they would look plastic to me. Awful to have every pic taken dissected and analyzed like some specimen.
What matters is at the end of the day they still go home together as a couple and iron out their differences in private. I have to admire them for being able to restrain themselves in public and keep a cool head unlike many other celebrities I know.

Zac and Vanessa have not always walked the red carpets together. They have walked separately more times than not. Zac was on the cover of TeenVogue for October, not him AND Vanessa, the same goes for the September issue where Vanessa was on the cover and not her AND Zac. They go a lot of places together but they have individual careers. When the credits roll on 17 Again or MAOW you are not going to see “Zanessa” or Zac and Vanessa” or even “Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens”. The same goes for Vanessa’s movie when it comes out. Because they will be with each other a lot at functions like this just because they are a couple doesn’t mean they will be photographed together. Showing up at the Palm Springs Film Festival was something different. Zac was celebrating something he had done and Vanessa was his date so they walked the red carpet together. But this event was about individual celebrities—the new young stars—so they were acting like INDIVIDUAL young stars that were being singled out. Did you see any other celebrity photographed on the red carpet together with someone else?
yep. two separate individuals. each with their own accomplishments and activities. IF they do break up, we fans will not die or anything but will still support them whoever they choose to date. their tween fans will most likely be depressed for a week or so, but they will get over it as long as they see z/v happy with or without each other,
