Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Make The Cut
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are honored at the unveiling of their new portraits at ‘Cut’ restaurant inside of The Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Friday in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The most-hated couple on The Hills had their pictures taken by photographer Martin Scholler, which will join his other portraits on the wall, including those of George Clooney and Jack Nicholson.
“It feels better than winning an Academy Award,” Heidi and Spencer said at the event.
The happy couple met restaurant owner Wolfgang Puck (pictured) and took time to admire the images with Jennifer Kellen, the director of Ace Gallery, where Scholler exhibits his work.

Wolfgang needs better advice. I don’t think adding adding Speidi is good PR for the restaurant. I was thinking of going to the Cut when I go to LA this fall but the fact that Wolfgang would put the pictures of Z-listers just turned me off. I’m not a hater of Speidi…its just that the image of the Cut seems to tarnish when it overtly affiliates itself with z-list celebs.

If one goes to a nice, upscale restaurant, part of what you’re paying for is the ambiance. If the decor is crap and it looks like a dive, who wants to pay money to eat there? Similarly, if the restaurant is so tacky that it posts pictures of z-listers it lowers the overall appeal and prestige of eating there. I think just one steak there costs at least $50.00 (much more for japanese wagyu beef) and everything else you have to order on the side.
You’re looking at a bill of at least $300.00 for dinner for two including a modestly priced bottle of wine. And if something little like pics of z-listers annoys me, I’m not paying that sort of cash to eat there. I’d be embarrassed to tell anyone I ate at that place that blatantly uses z-listers to promote their restaurant.

The fact that a renowned photographer like Mark would take pictures of these total a-holes only diminishes his significance to the art world. And the Ace Gallery is a joke for encouraging it. Ask the owner of the gallery how many times he has filed for bankruptcy and how he is has double sold his work. I know several people who have found that gallery to be less than legit.
