Travis Barker, DJ AM Injured in Fatal Plane Crash

Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, were injured in a plane crash that killed four people (3 males, 1 female) and critically injured two, NBC News reports.

Both Travis and DJ AM were in critical condition as of Saturday morning and transported to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia.

The FAA said the plane carrying six people was departing from South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Airport headed to Van Nuys, Calif., when an air traffic controller reported seeing sparks. The plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.

Travis performed Friday night at an event with Perry Farrel, Gavin DeGraw, and DJ AM. Earlier this month, Travis and DJ AM were the house band at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Travis, DJ AM, their friends and family.

UPDATE: The deceased are Sarah Lemmon (pilot), James Bland (co-pilot), Chris Baker (Travis’ assistant) and Charles Still (Travis’ bodyguard). Our deepest condolences and sympathies to all of their families and friends.

I’m read somewhere that gavin wasn’t on the plane. This is not confirmed as yet though, but I’m praying it is true! Pray for Travis and Adam as well as those who lost their lives! This is so tragic.

Okay..so bittersweet. I am happy that gavin and farrell weren’t on the plane. But still two people are seriously injured and most unfortunately, four people lost their lives. I will continue to pray for all.

I hope Travis’ extensive tattoos won’t prevent doctors from grafting skin where needed. Does anyone know if tattooed skin is graftable?

Oh no! What will the world do without a mediocre DJ and a tool bag drummer?? Society will surely crumble.

Maybe they should fly private.. as these two are known to do. Smaller aircraft have more accidents.

And maybe people should start caring about people in 3rd world countries who live in the middle of war zones or starve to death on a daily business.

Nope, people will still find anything even a bit bad that happens to any of their precious “celebs” far more horrendous :/
