Oh dear. It’s just all too much. That is a dress designed for a much smaller frame. You really need to be very tall and slim to pull it off. It is most certainly wearing her and not very well.

aww i love her .. but her dress is a miss.. It’s just too heavy looking for her.. the dress is more designed for a taller figure.. and instead it looks like she’s carrying too many fabric on her.

.

I dont like how she looks here

# 7

Way too much make-up for her. She doesn’t need all of that.

love the classic hair and make-up but the bottom of the dress is a big miss!

too much fabric and too much black for a young person.

I like the dress from the waist up but below the waist is just terrible. Too much fabric.

She looks awful. The hair, the nails, the shoes, the makeup, nothing works here.

FAT DISGUSTING AND SHE SMELLS!!!!! I WORKED WITH HER AND OH MY GOD!! B.O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you crazy people?! She’s stunning! I’ve just seen her on my screen with Vanessa Williams, and the so-called “Ugly” looked so much better! She’s just cute and seems to be a lovely person…

I just love America!

I think she looks great there - including the dress.

Very editorial! A good choice of colour and sophisticated design!

waay to much makeup, and the dress is not right for her…=(

she is not looking great

Go America working that Veronica Lake hair do. The greatest hair do to wear to the red carpet in hollywood. She always dresses really nice.

Healthy and glowing girl, as usual. I don’t like the dress choice though.

She loos like a sack full of potatoes….Too bad there’s no beauty on the inside nor in the outside….
*
I used to like her but I don’t anymore since she made that comment about Blake Lively and her show and rolling her eyes to her…
*
It doesn’t matter how much she tries to keep it as if she was a nice girl she was a total ***** by doing that…
*
It’s ok for everybody to have an pinion but shows more class and respect if you just don’t comment at all on your movie co-star show!

Oh my god! awful! that dress makes her looks so big, which we all know she isn’t ang those shoes….flipping heck there revolting!!!

Love Ferra but truly a terrible choice!

Ike_territory @ 09/23/2008 at 9:10 pm

In post-Hurricane Ike territory, America’s “gown” looks like something that might have been cobbled together by a hurricane survivor - using duct tape and garbage bags!

The dress is by my great uncle, Tony “Dan” Werle, of Werle on Rodeo. He is widely regarded as the first American couture designer. I agree that this dress doesn’t look great on her. It’s simply too big for her frame.

Just curious if you know if your great uncle’s vintage outfits are available for purchase or on display somewhere. He apparently designed the clothes for Marlo Thomas on “That Girl” and I love those outfits. So classic!

@Angela:
didn’t see your reply until now! we have the majority of his pieces but some can be found on the internet as well as a vintage store in London though I can’t think of the name at the moment! I think it may be called Alfies! Good luck!
