OlderEmmy Winners List 2008
Check out the winners for the 2008 Emmy Awards, which was held at Nokia Theatre on Sunday (September 21) in Los Angeles.
NBC’s 30 Rock swept the Comedy category, winning four awards. The show’s stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won Emmys for outstanding lead actress and actor in a comedy.
“This is the greatest job I’ve ever had,” declared Alec as he picked up his statuette.
Tina thanked her parents for “somehow raising me to have confidence that is disproportionate with my looks and abilities. Well done. That is what all parents should do.”

Once again House did not win, Emmys are trash.

House deserves many Emmys. He is an amazing actor! Have you heard him talk in public? His accent is so strong but his English is amazing! At least Steven Colbert won though! That man is FUNNY!

this is why i stopped watching the emmy’s. house is the best drama on t.v. i love 30 rock but the office is better. no awards for heroes, prison break, or chuck. quality of shows should be at least half way a reflection of ratings. nobody has seen half these shows and there are some that no one has heard of. this is why the emmys cant beat sunday night football in ratings.

erm, where’s Weeds in all of this??? WTF?
Brian Cranston is the amazing actor who portrayed the father figure Hal on Malcolm in the Middle for 7 years. And after four nominations in the comedic category, he never won an Emmy for his outstanding portrayal of a spastic dad. The fact that his talent was recognized in Drama instead of Comedy is a little ironic to say the least, but his portrayal in Breaking Bad was well deserving of it.
Where the heck are Lost, Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives?
Great that Bryan Cranston won! Flight of the Conchords should have won at least one category as well though.

HELLO!!!!! The Office is the funniest show on TV. 30 Rock is corny and not funny, just like the current Saturday Night Live. But, I guess not everyone is intelligent enough to get The Office.
The Primetime Emmy Awards 2008 was Tina Fey’s night! She totally deserved the 3 Emmys she won last night! She is just the best and, please people, watch “30 Rock”.

#26 I totally agree with you Kristen and Michael should have won.He is fantastic on Lost .This year the emmys were real boring ,i don’t even watch many of the shows that won.It’s a shame.I believe people who vote don’t watch many tv or at least don’t get informed on what people like.The only fun was with Steve Carell and Ricky G as well as Don Rickles!

No House or Robert Sean Leonard? No Friday Night Lights? And Prison Break may be far-fetched, but actors like Robert Knepper and Bill Fichtner should have receive Emmy nominations a long time ago. X-Files was far-fetched, but that didn’t stop it from getting Emmy nods. Hopefully next year the Emmy nominators will get their heads out of their butts and nominate (and reward) the decent shows. TV is about the people who watch the shows - maybe viewing public should vote for the Emmys and not a bunch of people who clearly have no clue whats on!
Where’s Battlestar Galactica? Where are Galactica’s writers? directors? and actors? Or was each category really: Best (fill in the blank) other than the guy in Battlestar Galactica.
