Lauren Conrad - Emmys 2008 Red Carpet
Lauren Conrad is all smiles in a navy chiffon gown she designed herself for the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre on Sunday (September 21) in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old Hills star is set to present at the ceremony. Lauren and last season’s Project Runway winner Christian Siriano also designed gowns for the trophy girls this year.

the dress is not WOW. But it is appropriate for HER to wear to this event. After all she is the designer, she is there to support not to steal her clients’ spotlight. It is a well thought out dress. I am curious to know who is wearing her design
that probably took lauren 2 months to make.

I like Lauren’s dress. It’s very simple, however her hair is the highlight of the outfit. Not too overdone!

the dress IS gorjuzz. but the thing i hate is her designing has been WAY over hyped all these years! her stuff is all very plain, basic and kinda boring. i mean, all that is, is a strapless maxi dress. and if u look at her collection is super basic things. shes not really that great of a designer. her stuff looks like all the clothes at forever 21 or any cute chain store at a mall
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Why is she a fashion designer? Her clothes are so boring. Zero spark to them whatsoever. She’s never outrageous, tacky, individual but she’s also never interesting either. In fashion, being boring is probably the biggest crime. I guess she could design for The Gap or Banana Republic.
HOW IS THIS GIRL FAMOUS? THE FACT THAT SHE WAS INVOLVED WITH THE EMMYS TOTALLY DE-VALUES THE AWARD SHOW. HER DRESSES ALL LOOK THE SAME, THEY LACK PERSONALITY, JUST LIKE HER. I DONT KNOW HER PERSONALLY SO I HAVE NOT RIGHT TO SAY THIS…BUT AS A VIEWER….THAT IS MY IMPRESSION. SORRY!!!

the dress is cute, she looks cute, but if you look closely the dress isnt made well….the ruching in the bodice doesnt lay nicely and there is quite a bit of puckering. Other than that it is what she always does … she hides her “trouble spots” under flowy dresses.

Lauren is sooo worried about those wrinkles around her eyes so don’t be surprised if she disappears from the public eye for a month or so because she is planning to have that flaw “corrected”….

She also knows she is not a good designer and is worried about it but she needs to take advantage of her fame at the moment because she is afraid that after the hills madness nobody will care anymore…the girl has to pay her bills you know…and those designer clothes, shoes and bags hehe
