OlderGwyneth Paltrow Gets GOOP-y
Gwyneth Paltrow has launched her very own lifestyle website called GOOP.com.
Here’s how the the 35-year-old actress describes the site: “[GOOP.com is] a collection of experiences [of] what makes life good. My life is good because I am not passive about it. I want to nourish what is real, and I want to do it without wasting time. I love to travel, to cook, to eat, to take care of my body and mind, to work hard. I love being a mother who has to overcome my bad qualities to be a good mother. I love being in spaces that are clean and nice.”
She continues, “Make your life good. Invest in what’s real,” Paltrow writes. “Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you’ve never been to. Learn something new. Don’t be lazy. Workout and stick with it. GOOP. Make it great.”

GOOP - what’s between Gywennie’s ears.
I like Gwyn as an actress, but this GOOP site is so dull…not a witty, funny, deep, or controversial thing on it. There are a million other lifestyle sites that aren’t so boring. She should add stuff about how to get involved in charity work, or something interesting and useful. Advice to buy a $75 cake spatula? That’s just isn’t interesting, and it certainly doesn’t reflect well on her intelligence.
Hmm…I guess she never did finish college or anything. : /

I was going to write my own views and then I found the following article from the LA times which sums up my own thoughts very neatly:

As one of her neighbors, I can tell you she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I find it very interesting that people think she is spoiled and lazy. This is a woman who could have never worked a day in her life, and yet she often pulls 10-12 hour working days. If any of you had the slightest clue as to how much work goes into something as simple as a photo shoot, you would have a very different opinion of her and other working entertainers.
ah bless her heart. between making films (real hard graft), being the worlds best mum, hobnobbing with other famous people and playing the recluse rockstar’s wifey, she has found time to share her girly diary online..thanks, very generous - but I can find most information elsewhere on the web. Its boring having it regurgetated by *a celeb*. There are millions of blogs doing this a whole lot better without half as much -if any media- hype.
I’m not bitter, just wish these privileged people would use their fame to promote something more worthwhile than banana nut muffin recipes and their personal trainers latest video. I don’t think an amateur blog is really doing much for her already shaky profile.
Goop from a loopy broad who got dumped by big ole fagaroo Brad Pitt. Gwen MAKES me sick with all the things she wants us to DO on GOOP and I think she needs to GET a life and BE a human and stop to SEE the roses bloom and then GO walk off a short pier. LOL
Can GOOP mean L-OOOOOSSSSERRRR and no. I am not jealous just trying to figure out how anyone can actually take this blonde ditz seriously.
BTW I always thought Gweenie was an annoying actress. In SEVEN I was so glad of the notion she lost her head! LOL. Other than that, Grennie is NOT the actress mummy is and her kids will grow up to hate her guts - APPLE and MOSES? I think Chris Martin and GOOPY Girl have been drinking too much of their own brand of kool aid.
Content simplistic as a site for an epicurean lifestyle-rather narcissistic tone. Gwyneth certainly has the time and the means to dive into a very challenging goal-finish her college education, maybe even get her doctorate. Then she would really appreciate the complexity and sophistication of what lots of people do everyday even if they do not live as epicureans. Then she can make a truly meaningful contribution to the world.
It’s pretty easy to be negative about anything. But it takes guts to be able to be grateful for the huge thing she’s trying to do. GOOP is wonderful. It’s so inspiring and so noble… It makes my day. BIG TIME THANKS, Gwyneth! :)
Do any of us believe that this woman would be anything but an out of work actor today if it weren’t for the fact of who her parents are and who her godfather is(SPIELBERG) . She is a one note actress with no range and no emotion. Like many other so called leading ladies in Hollywood today we the movie going public must suffer through her attempt to justify her wasted life.
How many more of these idiots born with silver spoons in there butts must we watch marry a rocker and move to England and tell the world how much the hate America?

I think she’s lovely. The new Grace Kelly or Diana. She is kind of royalty and what’s wrong with wanting to bling up your life? Anyone can do it
no matter what their circumstances. Just do what you can but go for
some glamour even if it’s only one rose or candlelight. When you
don’t have a lot of money. It takes more imagination. But it’s good to
see what you can do with limitless funds so you can be inspired and
imitate what you can. I hope she continues. She has a nice, simple style.
I love Gwyneth’s website. I think it’s great. It’s informative and inspirational. I find it uplifting and positive. I’m totally enjoying it and look forward to each new newsletter. Thank you so much. Keep them coming.

Why do people hate her in specific so much? I Think her comments were fine.. read something beautiful , make soneone dinner , nourish what sreal ? What is the problem with that . May be people should F** kin relax and try to enjoy the simple things as much as the love MATerialistic things .. Try being mad at the jerks like the KARDASHIAN idots or worse The clueless daughters of RUN DMC so called preacher Rapper dude .. They are sad. and the reality show sof extravagance ..HELLLOOO??
Don’t blame Gwenyth for your personal problems. I don’t blame her for mine and my hubbie and I have both lost our jobs after being close to retirement. You can really have someting to complain about if you and your spouse had invested over 60 yrs. between the two of you and you each lost your jobs. Buck up and quit whinning and get your rear out and look for work!!
What a pretentious bunch of crap
After reading these comments, I suspect that some of the posts are from Gwyneth Paltrow herself. Not because they like her website, but because they sound like someone pretending to be a third-party. Of course, there’s no way to know for sure.
Life is so short, it is a real shame that many of you commented in such a mean and nasty manner. We have little, precious time to be a blessing to someone, even those we don’t really know. Get over yourselves and do as your mom should have told you “if you can’t say something nice about someone, DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL”.
You guys are a bunch of mean spirited jealous people! Quit complaining about what someone else has and learn to appreciate what others can offer. Didn’t YOUR mother tell you if you couldn’t say anything nice, don’t say it at all? Just unbelievable how ugly some people are. She is a human being just like anyone and has feelings just like anyone….I think it is nice that she is willing to share some things that took her time and money to learn…. Thanks Gweneth……
If you don’t like it or her - stay off the site. Everyone has the right to do whatever they like and say whatever they like. I don’t think that has been taken away from us yet. Maybe if you would spend more time looking for a job or using your time more wisely, you would have to live from paycheck to paycheck…..sounds like to me you have some extra time on your hands.
I for one am always looking for ways to improve and like when others pass on their knowledge.
I just checked out GOOP for the first time. I also just stopped at this site for the first time. Wow!!!! Some of you people need GOOP more then you know. Esp the healthy living articles, they may help with all that anger, and obvious low self esteem. While the name is not the best, I found alot of her tips and advice useful. I am probably going to try the Cleanse and exercises on her site. I have been searching for new ways to lose weight and stay in shape, who better to share some secrets then someone who has access to all the resources that most of us can’t afford. The best part is that alot of the tips are NOT too pricey or extreme. Although some are, but that is the world she lives in, so of course it will be in there. People are always reading those “secrets the stars use… ” articles in tabloids etc. So this is one better, a beautiful star in wonderful health is sharing with all of us how she does it. Lay off her! Take a self help class so you no longer have to put other people down just to feel better about yourself… really how high school is that, grow up! Thank you Gwyneth! Love the site so far! Can’t wait to see what esle is coming!
Man, you all really have it out for this woman. I hope that your passions regarding Paltrow also apply to how you feel about your politicians, spiritual leaders, etc. For people to so vehemently despise an actress, whom you can chose to see or not see, astounds me. As for me, she does not bother me. I have not liked everything she is in, but have enjoyed certain films, like ‘Emma.’ I personally cannot stand Mickey Rourke and find him to be reprehensible in his irresponsible behavior. Someone who could have had the world blew it and now is cashing in on his homeless, drug affected personality. He speaks like he is in a porn film (listen to him at Spirit Awards) and looks so awful and he made it all happen. Why not comments about him in his Gauthier suit the other night, when he could hae given that $$ to his homeless friends? I do not, however, hate the man. I think we al l need more to do.
Hey, at least she is trying to do something positive. You people are just jealous.Sure she doesn’t have the problems that we ordinary people do, but neither does Oprah, and who’s criticizing her? And stop criticizing her looks, she is really cute. Stop expecting perfection and being so damn shallow. Oh, and thank God she won’t be another Martha Stewart or Jane Fonda-heaven only knows that one of each is more than enough. So, I say, go for it Gwyneth. You have my vote!
